    Did you use the advance pin from the TDI? You can see me put it in at 4:50. Maybe the plunger is touching the idi style pin?

    Awesome - thank you for creating the video and sharing your knowledge of these pumps. In Europe we have a VW 1.7SDI which I think would go awesome in a mk1 pickup after mTDI conversion.

    Awsome guide wish it has it years ago when i was attempting to build a good pump.
    I remeber reading in a mtdi forum in Sweden ln the fulcrum lever thar you can file it somehow to more throw? I guess you do it against the "stop"?
    Idk maybe it a idea to explore incase you need to increase the throw of the lever.

      @@antonaberg5238 Thanks, appreciate it! I’ve seen the forum descriptions. Most of the picture links are dead and I just don’t have enough information to proceed confidently. I was originally planning to use a 1.6TD. So as long as it makes more than 70 HP I will be happy.

    Since you know, can you tell us what is the difference between the throttle lever from 1.6TD and D24 and does it have a bigger stroke?

      @@ΔημήτριοςΔρίβας-γ2δ The 1.6D and D24 throttle lever are not interchangeable. From what I can tell, the D24 stroke is longer. That may have more to do with the governor cage spring being more eccentric though.

    Bonjour, j'ai également une pompe tdi-m dans ma golf que j'ai construit avec une pompe de 1.6 comme vous, mais j'ai des soucis de réglage avec ma pompe, je n'arrive pas avoir la bonne avance pour ne pas avoir de claquement moteur, quand j'utilise le capot de tdi pour le piston d'avance, le moteur claque très fort, et quand j'utilise le capot de 1.6, le moteur ne claque plus du tout mais ne prend plus bien la monté en régimes. A combien calé vous statiquement votre pompe sur le 1.9tdi et est-ce que le réglage de l'axe du régulateur centrifuge à une importance sur le piston d'avance ? j'ai également enfoncé la soupape de régulation de pression interne a 2.4mm, c'est suite à ça que le moteur c'est mis à claqué mais la puissance est venus direct.
