This has been a massive help! My sisters roof had been having issues, turns out that little switch wasn't being released enough when the latch was open, bent the pin a tiny bit and voilas the bong is back! Thank you
I just followed your video to fix the same problem on my Pug. I got the boot lid to open followed by the roof and when the roof was fully opened the boot cover didn't come back down. On closer inspection I realised the parcel shelf wasnt lifting into position. I made the mistake of lifting it manually and now I can't get the roof to close due to the parcel shelf being fixed in the up position. Any ideas how I can get the parcel shelf to drop down so I can close it manually and start again? There is a cord which is supposed to be a release mechanism for manual operation but mine isn't connected to anything.
Thank you for the useful videos. I have a question. Everything works in the car, but the roof cannot be opened. Only the engine works without reaching the rear cover and the roof.
Thank you for this video. I have a problem with my Peugeot and I was hopping that someone from the comment section may be able to help me. The left windows do not work. I have checked the motors and mechanisms of the windows' and they appear to be OK, However they don't respond when I press the left window button. Also the roof does not work. I have checked all the contact-sensors of the roof mechanism and to my better knowledge it all looks fine. What can cause this problem??? If the contact switch of the latch has a problem then the windows don't respond? when I open both latches I hear the beep so I always assumed that they are both fine. THANKS
Have you done such a diagnose on a 207 as well? Mine displays 'faulty roof mechanism' but the boot lid is still up. When trying to close again, the boot lid closes a bit and the roof crashes into it going up... Summer is on the way and i want to be able to drive 'topless'. Thanks in advance for info where to search!
@@SK11PPY Are the boot locking catches in the manual position, ie the lower position. There are 2 hook type pins usually white in colour that you can pull out and turn. The up position is auto which is what it should be in.
When I try to open the roof all I get now is the bleeping noise, but the roof doesn't open. Windows work ok. Any idea what's going on please? Don't think the catches for the roof made that donging noise when I opened them either.
@Paralax hi. All mine was was, I'd just had the car MOT'd and they must have released the blind thing that goes across the inside of the boot. I didn't realise, but as when the roof folds down it rests on this blind and because they hadn't replaced the blind after the MOT, the roof wouldn't operate. Hence it refusing to open, I pulled the blind back across and back into the hook things, and then the roof operated ok! I have told the garage just in case they do it on any other cars like mine. They must have been looking to see the spare wheel, but my car's model doesn't have one.

my 206 is beeping when driving over 5 mph constantly even when the roof is up or down any ideas?
Is it completing its roof cycle? Usually you hear a bong when it has finished going up or down.
@@rmautodiag no, it opens and closes fine with no issues just constant beeeping, no bong noises
