    Being a student of English, I have learnt many things from this channel. I really appreciate this channel. By listening these videos I have improved and improving as well my british accent. I did not know the correct pronunciation of these words "purchase" "opportunity" and many more. After watching these videos I came to know the correct pronunciation of these words.
    Like "purchase" we say it earlier__ "p.u.r.chaiz " but the correct pronunciation is "pur-chëss" thanku 🥰🥰😂

    How does "-some" work? Somone can be tired, something can be tiring yeah, but... how is "tiresome" used? Heard it a lot of times but never understood that, thanks.

    Funny story: my wife and I once advertised an extra room for rent in our apartment in California. Soon we received an email from a young French woman who wrote, “Hello, my name is Natalie, and I am interesting in the bedroom.” She got the room! We still laugh about it twenty years later :)

    Lucy! While I was watching your video, I paid attention to the way you say the word "adjective". You stress the second syllable?? I think the stress should go on the first syllable. Have I been mispronounced this word my entire life?

    3.45 'We only use ed adjectives to describe people and animals' so what about my glazed bathroom window? A window is not a person or an animal. Similarly, in my garage at home, I have a well-used bicycle. I never hear my bicycle laugh or cry and it certainly never asks to be fed!

    It was just about present & past right?
    And of course, using an Adj, it always contains tobe+ v3, sometimes when it used in passive sentence., you should increase "by" after v3.

    This is effectively the same as the difference between 'sat' and 'sitting' and 'stood' and 'standing'! How often does one hear "I was sat..." when "I was sitting.." is meant. Announcers on the BBC get it wrong very often. It makes my wife scream!!
