He knew many people he killed ended up dying without doing much or ever truly living life or knowing the truth. Basically, Kenny didn’t want to live blindly. He wanted to be in the know. Who cares if you’re rich off of a business when in the end you spent most of your time behind a desk. Unless you truly loved it and knew the intricate things, well then you could’ve done something else that made you happier. He probably wanted people to be fulfilled and stand out.

The Levi and Erwin scene I couldn’t hold it back anymore, what a masterpiece this anime is, a mixture of excitement, heartbreak, tears. Never forgetting aot, that’s a promise.

My thought is that Erwin wasn’t afraid of dying, but was in dilemma. Erwin had to pick between his selfish desire to find what was hidden in the basement or sacrifice his dream and go ahead with the plan that would benefit mankind. Erwin probably knew it wouldn’t matter what choice he picked, but still he was conflicted. Thus he needed someone to tell him what to do, when Levi tells Erwin to “give up on his dream and die” , Erwin says thank you, which relieves him of his responsibility to choose and follows Levi’s order.
i don’t know if it was as much of not afraid of dying rather than the guilt of he kept living. he saw that the chances of survival were pretty much zero and remembered all of those who he sacrificed to get to that point. he couldn’t decide if he should become one of them. it also speaks on the main thing he told levi in the no regrets ova. he told him he should keep move forward because stopping to regret will cause him to die. if erwin had to choose, he would have chosen life and then regretted it. this also speaks to the relationship between levi and erwin. levi had always put his complete trust in erwin and when the time came when erwin most needed council levi was there to make the decision.

English voice actor is John Michael Tatum. He is always nothing but brilliant. He also dubed Rintarou Okabe from Seins Gate. I admire him greatly, the way he can express himself with such finesse and project authority is astounding.
I admire how each character suffers in a different cruel way. This anime has so many meaningful mentions and quotes. Honestly, this anime is well done.
That made me realize how Eren is the literal incarnation of Attack Titan. Everyone blamed the world for being cruel, saying they are just too small to make a difference(I assume that's how Kenny felt with all that knowledge, too small to make a difference and also many other Eldians who knew what's beyond the walls). But Eren always keeps moving forward, "You have to fight". And i don't see any dilemma in this story, so I don't get other people. Eldians are the one in the right, you can't keep on punishing them for what their ancestors have done, especially when Marley used it as an excuse to become monsters, devils themselves. Eren's ideology is right, you gotta keep on fighting, that's why he is the one to lead Eldians. I only wish Reiner, Annie and Bertolto could have realized that. They had their doubts, but they never made a choice for themselves, only listened to orders. If they picked Eren's side, they would have eventually left that nightmare. You have to fight, otherwise, it's always gonna be a nightmare and you will never wake up. Even in death you will only feel regret. I Am grateful, because that's the first anime that showed me why our main character is THE main character. So the theories about him being the devil from the story or some original, first attack titan makes sense to me now, and you manga readers know it too. He is special. He is going to save Eldians or destroy everything trying to. Edit after the story concluded: Eren wanted to destroy the world for his freedom and his people. He left a loophole - on purpose. He knew that the thing he is going to do is not a good thing, it was grey, you protect your people but you have to erase the one who will continue to hunt them down. Eren made his choice, but he knew his friends won't agree. And his friends and Mikasa who he loved the most in the world would stop him. Just look how it goes, Eren purposefully leaves a gap for them to reach him. He never tried to kill them, or stop them before the rumbling or even as it started. I only wish Mikasa confessed when it mattered the most. She did it 99% of the anime but not when it mattered the most, imo flaw of the story that deservesd an alternative ending. Eren could be undefeated but he chose to be defeated becasue he knew at the end of the day he is the thing he swore to destroy - a devil. His friends become heroes and we get Code Geass type of ending.

It took Kenny until his death, to actually show he cared about Levi. Just imagine how it felt for Levi in that moment, living his whole life thinking he hated him, only to find out the one he hated was his uncle who cared about him.

Don’t overlook Kenny’s huge role in molding Levi to be able to take care of himself in the slums he also saved Levi from dying when he was on the brink of starvation Kenny is not an affectionate person but he truly cared for Levi people who have endured pain or rough environments usually aren’t affectionate just like Levi he cares for people but they perceive him to be cold and ruthless when in reality he just doesn’t show affection due to having to keep your emotions in check because that’s how he survived in the slums usually the most affectionate are perceived as weak people especially in a rough environment.

The timing at 2:18 with the "Please" is the best scene I've seen in my entire life. It gets me everytime. The music, timing as well as the voice acting is simply magnificent. The buildup for that scene is incredible as well with the previous dialogues and scenes.

If I don't think like this I can not keep going.. not being able to achieve things I wanted , not being able to be satisfied in the work I am doing really hurts . But as long as I think like I don't even need to achieve anything cuz who cares , I can just have a bit of peace.
People are the only creatures that comit suicides. I think that's because you do not need to fight for your life. But when people get cancer or something, many of them actually want to live even if they didnt want to. I think the purpose of life is just to survive, be the best you can be and multiply. Who knows, maybe this world is something which helps us develop and someday achieve greater state.

Personally, majority of his fans are fans because he acknowledged his own faults and grew from it. His character development is great, even tho the meat of it has yet to be animated. That made me realize how Eren is the literal incarnation of Attack Titan. Everyone blamed the world for being cruel, saying they are just too small to make a difference(I assume that's how Kenny felt with all that knowledge, too small to make a difference and also many other Eldians who knew what's beyond the walls). But Eren always keeps moving forward, "You have to fight". And i don't see any dilemma in this story, so I don't get other people. Eldians are the one in the right, you can't keep on punishing them for what their ancestors have done, especially when Marley used it as an excuse to become monsters, devils themselves. Eren's ideology is right, you gotta keep on fighting, that's why he is the one to lead Eldians. I only wish Reiner, Annie and Bertolto could have realized that. They had their doubts, but they never made a choice for themselves, only listened to orders. If they picked Eren's side, they would have eventually left that nightmare. You have to fight, otherwise, it's always gonna be a nightmare and you will never wake up. Even in death you will only feel regret. I Am grateful, because that's the first anime that showed me why our main character is THE main character. So the theories about him being the devil from the story or some original, first attack titan makes sense to me now, and you manga readers know it too. He is special. He is going to save Eldians or destroy everything trying to.
Edit after the story concluded: Eren wanted to destroy the world for his freedom and his people. He left a loophole - on purpose. He knew that the thing he is going to do is not a good thing, it was grey, you protect your people but you have to erase the one who will continue to hunt them down. Eren made his choice, but he knew his friends won't agree. And his friends and Mikasa who he loved the most in the world would stop him. Just look how it goes, Eren purposefully leaves a gap for them to reach him. He never tried to kill them, or stop them before the rumbling or even as it started. I only wish Mikasa confessed when it mattered the most. She did it 99% of the anime but not when it mattered the most, imo flaw of the story that deservesd an alternative ending. Eren could be undefeated but he chose to be defeated becasue he knew at the end of the day he is the thing he swore to destroy - a devil. His friends become heroes and we get Code Geass type of ending.

It took Kenny until his death, to actually show he cared about Levi. Just imagine how it felt for Levi in that moment, living his whole life thinking he hated him, only to find out the one he hated was his uncle who cared about him.

And the anime left it out I think, but in the manga theres a scene where they show Kenny saying that Levi was his pride and joy even though he never told him. But I made this comment a year ago and I dont even remember what this video is about lol

Don’t overlook Kenny’s huge role in molding Levi to be able to take care of himself in the slums he also saved Levi from dying when he was on the brink of starvation Kenny is not an affectionate person but he truly cared for Levi people who have endured pain or rough environments usually aren’t affectionate just like Levi he cares for people but they perceive him to be cold and ruthless when in reality he just doesn’t show affection due to having to keep your emotions in check because that’s how he survived in the slums usually the most affectionate are perceived as weak people especially in a rough environment.

People are the only creatures that comit suicides. I think that's because you do not need to fight for your life. But when people get cancer or something, many of them actually want to live even if they didnt want to. I think the purpose of life is just to survive, be the best you can be and multiply. Who knows, maybe this world is something which helps us develop and someday achieve greater state.
I don't really care about that. The meaning of life is not important to me what is important is that I am alive. I was gifted with this one life so I am gonna live it and enjoy it till the very last breath. Sometimes I think does it really matter if I die. It won't affect anyone except those who are close to me. Countless people die everyday but the world still moves on. But that doesn't mean that I have to die early. I want to see more of this world. I want to discover the world I was born in. I want make to friends. I only live for myself and the people close to me. That is why I do what I want to. I don't care if people hate me. Because there are those who love me. I am just one of those 7 trillion people on this planet who will die one day. Death is inevitable but it is what makes life beautiful.
