It is called Sharps Island lighthouse. It has been damaged several times by ice flows, moved and returned. The lastest time was in1977. There have been no attempts to bring it right up. It was decommissioned in 2010. It was recommended for sale by way of the historical lighthouse act, but no takers. All the original furniture was left inside when closed. However, with being so accessible, it has been taken by whomever. It is a great piece of history.
The freedom you guys have been experiencing over the this series of videos is totally encapsulated in the "wind in the beard" sequence!! Just fantastic hope you feel as refreshed as you look. Take care.
Just came across this and now hooked and subscribed, watching from England! Love your enthusiasm and adventurous spirit,I have owned and sailed boats here in the south of Britain,if there was something like this I would have been inside it too! Your lady is beautiful, sir you are truly blessed!
It has been enjoyable following along, watching and learning as you worked at your forge, carving, and building your homestead up. But I've seen all of the ocean I wanted to during my time in the Navy as a rescue swimmer. So I wanted to wish you well in whatever the future holds for the two of you. Take care and goodbye.
Very enjoyable video, thank you. I had a chance to visit a very remote light station island in the NW that also has been automated and empty for some time. We were fortunate to land there when the coast guard was there so we were allowed a tour. I too was struck by the quality of work and materials. As the I noticed on your station, the attention to detail such as embellishments on on the windows that really no one would see was amazing. That sort of workmanship and efforts to beauty is long gone. To bad.
Thanks so much for the tour. I have always had a keen interest in old light houses. Currently I am working with a customer that is needing new hinges for one being restored in Lake Michigan
What an amazing couple. A wide of range of skills, and she's as tough as any pioneer wife who ever lived and with super model looks. Incredible. As for the lighthouse, the methheads around here would've scrapped that out by now!
Hi I enjoy watching your videos. It gives me inspirations work with my hands again. I lost use of my arms in 2015 and am still recovering. Thanks for the videos
Man I wish you did google that light house, now I have to cause I find it very interesting that there is a leaning light house somewhere thats been abandon, maybe I can find some info on it. FYI, in the movie Forest Gump he runs to a light house in ME. Good video thanks for sharing. ("The current light, a sparkplug lighthouse, was constructed in 1882 with a concrete caisson foundation and a 35-foot (11 m) cast iron tower. The fourth-order Fresnel lens was replaced with a 9.8-inch (250 mm) lens in 1977; the focal plane is 54 feet (16 m) above sea level. The tower includes an integral dwelling and was staffed until 1938 when the United States Coast Guard automated the light.[3] Leaning by about 15° since it was ice-damaged in 1977, the structure is picturesque, but in poor condition.")
you guys are more like i am that is the kind of site seeing i like and love the fact that you took time to show the craftsman ship that was involved in the making of the light house it would be hard to find craftsman that could do this today most people don't have the patient to do so and they buy every thing made some where else or order from factory witch machine do it all and not the craftsman himself And it looks like you both enjoy the adventure and absorb every moment to the very core of your energy well have a wonderful day hope to more of your video soon
So, is this lighthouse is built to the ground not floating? Great job with the filming and editing btw, the dissolves into closeups and filming structure is really good! ♥ ♥
No disrespect Sir, but your wife is amazing!!!!!
Her facial expressions in the background were scene stealers and made this video so much more enjoyable.

Your wife's facial expressions are incredible. Reminds me of how good actors once used there facial expressions to communicate to the audiences.

I love Michigan lighthouse's that's so awesome - they seem to be rehabbing quite a few-- especially the ones privately owned
Thank you for the tour. The subject(s), scenery and cinematography made it exceptionally enjoyable.

That must have been rough to do when barefoot.
Cool video! I've always thought if I was rich I'd build a big tower kinda like a lighthouse on top of a hill to live in.
😊
Thanks for sharing
When i was 23 i ran away to oregon from southdakota and lived on a light house
Great video. I’m glad this came across my homepage. Must’ve been cool to explore all the floors. Have you explored any other lighthouses?
Really sweet vid
She loves herself
Amazingly cool. Wouldn’t it be amazing to restore that lighthouse and rent it on airbnb?
Wow what a unique location and video…
2:58 ---and you two, went there bare foot? -really very smart.
Do you know name of that lighthouse?? Two that I know of in Chesapeake are the Wolf Trap and Smith Point lighthouses. Thanks, Jim
Seadoo rental, $50. Seadoo fuel, $20. Checkin out a leaning lighthouse with your soul mate, Priceless!
so tranquil and beautiful, thank you. It would be fabulous to transport that lighthouse onto land and to renovate and live in...heavenly
I know I’m late but do you think this would be accessible by kayak?
🤗 nice FPV spot. Too bad you didnt drone it.
Would have liked to see an underwater view of what is actually holding that structure semi firm.
That would be cool 😎
9:25 thats a crane. we call it matafora- to hang a boat. and rip it up to statement
No dive ? Or jump into the bay . Go back y'all and do it again .

Neat !!!
Opened in 1882.
Automated in 1938.
Damage by ice in 1977
It looks like the light house is leaning to one side
Gandolf have a beautiful wife?! Must be some kind of magic….
Tbh that must give you splinters…
Feel like shoes should've been worn..
love the coverage....but I would have worn water shoes at least...all that rust and who knows what else you are walking on...in bare feet?!?
do everyone a favor, wear some shoes before you rip your feet open and become a SAR case
