Ohhh yeah one of my favorite JRPG's from that console generation, together with Xenoblade. I know it's wishful thinking but I would love to see a remaster or remake of Arc Rise Fantasia but I highly doubt it will happen.
Yeah people too often talk about the shovelware the Wii had and sure it had some shovelware type of games but it also had many amazing titles and some really hidden gems what are definitely worth playing even in 2024!
As a Wii fan myself, I own every single one of these games, and I must say this is quite an accurate list! Not to sound like tooting my own horn, but I've translated some Japanese games that could easily fit into a sequel video. So if you ever need advice on Japanese exclusive Wii games, we could have a passionate conversation about it! 😇 Congrats again on your video!
Thanks a lot for your comment! I always try to do my best and pick games I believe should be more talked about, because there are so many amazing underrated, underappreciated games that get buried underneath and that is especially true for Japanese exclusives that never left Japan! If I ever need your help I will come to you! 😁
I thought I recognized your name! Thanks so much for the translations. I just got your Ikenie No Yoru English translation set up. I really appreciate your hard work.
@@kyleaday365 Thanks! Be sure to download the latest version, especially if you want to replace the characters' names with your friends' (always funny to do so). I've changed the linebreaks so the text never gets cut in the middle of a word! ;-) (Plus, I like the name "Coal" considerably more than "Dark")
I've actually played a few of those games. Specifically... 1.Rodea The Sky Soldier 2.Pandora's Tower 3.Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars 4.Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon 5.Sin & Punishment: Star Sucessor 6.Lost In Shadow
I love Disaster: Day of Crisis, that game is amazing. I believe it was developed by Monolith Soft, so no wonder why I like it as well, haha. Also I once had Fragile Dreams physically in my Wii collection, but never got around to playing it sadly. Great video dude, the Wii was definitely one of my favourite systems!
Ohhh I didn't expected you to know about Disaster Day of Crisis, yeah it is a very fun end of world survival game. Fragile Dreams it's so good I wish I had that game physical but right now it ain't cheap and because it is such a rare game that sold poorly and it's a fun well made hidden gem I hardly believe that it will ever fall down in price if anything it will raise in value 😩

only one i would knock off here is muramasa, since you can BARELY call it a hidden gem with how much talk has it has over the last 5 so years vanillaware even wants to rerelease the game for modern platforms.
@@DarkSymphony777 Fair enough. The game was a hidden gem but recently it became a cult classic! It happens with many old games, gamers buy these old games used decades later, get them recommended maybe even emulate them and then they love them, it happens often. It just shows how much better we had back then, so many cult classics, so many bangers!
@@Official_RetroMania agreed. i put in a lot of hours to both muramasa and pandora's tower (and even then pandora's tower is only forgotten because it lives in the shadow of xenoblade chronicles.......and that massive game breaking bug in the english version of the game)

Thanks for mentioning Arc Rise Fantasia.
An absolute epic RPG, very memorable storyline and cast of characters. Oh and the soundtrack.

"Deadly Creatures" on the wii is really cool. Its a 3rd person action game where you play as a scorpion and a spider in the desert.
GREAT VIDEO! Fragile dreams is excellent underrated hidden game
It’s shocks how the wii has so many hidden great games some even I didn’t know!
