You can hear how much effort he puts in each of his songs, nothing sounds rushed or forced, and it sounds like he really enjoys what he does

This song sounds so melancholy it’s talking about space and how vast and big it is it puts into perspective how little we are and how little of the universe we’ve explored this sing always makes me sad. Plus I was listening to this song on basically repeat during a goodbye to some relatives I haven’t seen in two years so now I associate this song with that memory
Yeah. It kinda reminds me of when I was in elementary. I just started middle school and I already miss it. I don’t wanna be a teenager, and I definitely don’t wanna be an adult, even if I have years before I become one. I wanna stay a kid forever.

When I listen to this song I think of the days where I actually liked my dad, as we would leave the city I would listen to this album while watching the city lights go by in the car ride home. I don’t see him anymore due to personal preferences, but I wish I could go back to that time where I would only think of how happy I would be when I got back home. I miss those happy times
Oh god, your situation with your dad sounds just like mine... I haven't got to the stage of "not seeing him anymore" probably due to my age but to think that's most likely what's gonna happen in the future makes me sad...

This song also reminds me of my dad but it’s entirely different situation i wish i could see him but he is not there anymore i really miss the times where i play with him silly games like hide and seek and like that so this song really comforts me that even if he isnt here anymore i know he will be proud of me
People keep saying, "Kikuo writes dark lyrics to otherwise upbeat, happy songs." I have to ask, though, is this song in particular, does it really sound happy? Listen to it. It starts in a minor key, and it does play on familiar chord progressions found in major keys, but never directly resolves to one. The lyrics are consistent with the theme of this song.
+Dusty Chan I think when people say that they are downplaying Kikuo's abilities as a composer. I have never agreed with that statement and in fact the reason why I love Kikuo so much is for his eclectic style and versatility. He is really a genius and those sorts of summarizations of his music don't do him any justice whatsoever.
MrTrojis Precisely. His style is varied and flexible and he pays such attention to the most minute of details that really make his songs sound whole. Things like, "his songs are happy but his lyrics are sad" gloss over 75% of what makes his songs great and dumb down Kikuo so much it's saddening.

is it weird that this song is kinda like therapy to me? like it makes me get this cool vibe about being on a gleaming, gold and red carousel that looks like a ufo that you're going around on while drifting through space. it makes me think about it could transport you to other places after death in a bright way, and i'm honestly longing for that.

nope not weird at all. Many of kikuo's songs are strangely therapeutic, because they have such an escapist feel to them. He is extremely talented at making his songs very atmospheric, making you forget you even are listening to a song most of the time, and making you sink into this parallel dimension where it's just you and the scenarios he is inspiring ou to create through his sounds.

This song is so relatable to me. It might be projection, but I guess my interpretation of it is about an individual who feels like an alien compared to the people surrounding them. So they want a UFO to take them away, since it’s incredibly lonely.
I have ADHD, so the lyrics hit right into home. Especially the whimsical part of it.

They would travel around and collect energy by killing people and give it to this tree that gave them life. The tree was starting to wither so they traveled to Earth to collect more energy. The sailor scouts obviously stopped them from hurting people but the aliens were mad because they were going to die if the tree did. Long story short, they realized that what the tree needed wasn't energy, but love

This songs really reminds me of that time I was at the golden ring of Russia at August of 2023 (Moskow and places around it) when i used to listen to this song all of the time (and sorta am now). It was also the time I was really getting to my favorite cartoon, Ren & Stimpy, so that really ads the nostalgia factor for me. I absolutely love this song and it is ageless!

自分は、曲中のUFOは霊の集合体と思ってます。仲間を欲しがって、弱い生き物から魂を抜いて引き込む存在。
