@@bingevilla yeah but kikuo did a lot as well, si_ku did all of the kikuo miku album covers and a few mvs but kikuo did all the kikuo world covers, some art for things like gomenne gomenne and Tsuki no youkai, some art on the insides of the cd booklets, a whole manga inside of the kikuo world 3 cd, and a whole actual manga, so I’m just saying that kikuo’s been doing his own illustrations for a while now and it’s not really anything new (plus I feel like since people are talking about it for this, we should also be recognizing the other art he’s made in the past that’s all)

I like both, I had my doubts because I'm used to Miku, but so far I like the mystical, childish vibes Qi Xuan gives. What amazes me the most is how Kikuo manages to make them sound so alive.

Okay this song was really hard to interpret, however, what I got from it is that it’s about somebody struggling maybe with depression, or just struggling in general. The song talks about being tired from school, really wanting to go home. I think: They’re trapped in this depressive state, and the only way to escape is sleep. School drains the person narrating the song, and it’s tiring to even get home. It’s a struggle. Or, home is an escape from school snd then once they’re back they sleep, wake up, and repeat. A tortoise in a shell, as they sleep, they hide from their troubles, just like a tortoise hiding in it’s shell. It feels safe, surrounded by things it’s familiar with, such as sea life or flounder and sea breams.

I'd say it's just that because that's how my life is at the moment, and when I listened to it the minute it came out, I immediately resonated with the lyrics. I had to stop listening for a good while because it was making me more depressed ;------;
I love this song so much and I'm so happy that his old style is back. The background sounds are so satisfying. Judging by the lyrics alone it might be about someone with depression seeing their life unchanging and with sleep being their only escape from it. But the feeling I got from the song was actually different, like someone perhaps kidnapped someone or is manipulating them but still convinces that person that everything is the same as always, that they just need to sleep because ''it's all alright'', while actually nothing is the same (the image video changing and distorting) and they are being manipulated. The house imagery might mean that they're kept locked in a house. At least that's how it felt to me, but both interpretations felt right.
Once they got to the river I think that was when the kidnapping or change happened and now they’re trying to desperately convince themselves everything hasn’t changed. Everything is as it is when they are a sleep.
I think it could also be interpreted as any grief-causing change, it could be losing someone. Maybe someone starts to be/becomes more abusive. Maybe they’re in the middle of a legal despuite and the childs life is being pulled in all directions while they have to still go do their day-to-day. There seems to be a point where something suddenly happens though, and the visuals seem to scew afterward just as you guys said. It could be a kidnapping or the death of a loved one (or animal!). Whether they’re still trying to live life after would tell us a lot, if they really are just trying to sleep it might be they literally have no choice but give into delusion…

May I join you?) Kikuo's music has been helping me to cope with depression and hard times for more than a decade. And this song was released on the day after another mental breakdown. I'm so grateful I can't find the words to describe it
People think that Kikuo’s songs are cold and harsh, but for me, they are warm and childish, with just a little cold hints in the lyrics. He is doing a great job into making me make new fantasies and stories, about me or OCs. I might not know all his songs or relate to more than half of them, but he is amazing.
My interpertation of this song is that its talking about how life doesnt even feel like life anymore. when you are just a little todler you spend most of your days in kindergarten. teenage years hit and you go to school for over 10 years five times a day. you wake up really early, get ready, go to school, spend half of your day (or more) in school, go home, do homework, study, you have little time left for yourself and then repeat everything for litearly years. You graduate and you have to find a job. wake up, get ready for job, spend almost the whole day in your job, go home and repeat. you become old and you need help from others to help you. "Its always been the same, so lets go back to sleep" you become tired of repeating everything over and over and over, yet you cant do anything because thats how society works, so lets go back to sleep... Its all a pettern, schedgule. This isnt life, it doesnt feel like one. Its like you are a robot and not a human.

absolutely obsessed with how this song pushes the new and old together, i love how much kikuo has grown with his skill and style but this gave me a huge nostalgia trip. it's obviously his newer instruments and style of tuning but idk, something about it feels so perfect for the song, especially with the name of it and the lyrics. it really is a reminder of how far kikuo has come as an artist !! love it!!! can't wait to see what the future holds..

この曲聴いて思ったんだけど、この曲ってヤングケアラーの子が親の介護で疲れてる曲って思った
親がそのままずっと寝てくれれば自分は少しは楽になるから、ずっと「そのまんま そのまんま そのまま ずっとそのまま寝ていてね」という歌詞が何回も繰り返されているのかな
初めの方の「タイやヒラメが僕を轢く」は親の介護で自分の勉強ができてなくて周りに置いていかれている・ついていけなくなっていることを表しているように思った
あと、「また学校に戻るのです」の所はテストとかの成績が悪くて補習とか再テストを受けるために戻っているみたいに思った

Kikuo's music has been helping me to cope with depression and hard times for more than a decade. And this song was released on the day after another mental breakdown. I'm so grateful I can't find the words to describe it

seeing kikuo's music mature over the years is amazing
People think that Kikuo’s songs are cold and harsh, but for me, they are warm and childish, with just a little cold hints in the lyrics. He is doing a great job into making me make new fantasies and stories, about me or OCs. I might not know all his songs or relate to more than half of them, but he is amazing.

My interpertation of this song is that its talking about how life doesnt even feel like life anymore.
when you are just a little todler you spend most of your days in kindergarten. teenage years hit and you go to school for over 10 years five times a day. you wake up really early, get ready, go to school, spend half of your day (or more) in school, go home, do homework, study, you have little time left for yourself and then repeat everything for litearly years. You graduate and you have to find a job. wake up, get ready for job, spend almost the whole day in your job, go home and repeat. you become old and you need help from others to help you.

Its all a pettern, schedgule. This isnt life, it doesnt feel like one. Its like you are a robot and not a human.
I interpreted it a bit like this but the reason it feels the same/kinda different is because the person lost someone and is trying to pretend it is the same(im not explaining it well but your interpretation is a big part of how i took it!)

(I went to see the full lyrics translated and i thought about the meaning of this song: wait if they are dreaming of their happy childhood memories and they're starting to forget them? Each day,they're getting more quiet,forgetful and tired and they want to dream of those happy old times but they can't dream of them anymore and life is getting harder,unlike when they were going to school. Maybe their parents died too and they are forgettinf where they lived. So they're trying to repeat the process of remembering them but they simply can't. That's what i think,but i'm not sure tho if it's about that. Maybe i'm just stupid? 😭)

absolutely obsessed with how this song pushes the new and old together, i love how much kikuo has grown with his skill and style but this gave me a huge nostalgia trip. it's obviously his newer instruments and style of tuning but idk, something about it feels so perfect for the song, especially with the name of it and the lyrics. it really is a reminder of how far kikuo has come as an artist !! love it!!! can't wait to see what the future holds..
