Love my Tikka T1x 22lr topped it with a Zeiss 4-16x44 conquest v4 at 50 yards with 14 different target and match loads it averages .488 . I compete in 100 yard benchrest matches and Lapua midas plus is my go to ammo for that. Thanks for a great video. That's definitely my next purchase.
@@robertsalyers1351 I love my 243 it is a really beautiful rifle. But being a stainless varmint it's very heavy to go hunting on foot with. But it's a good cartridge for hunting pests and long range targets.I have my lowest scope stop zeroed at 300 for long range targets and it instantly took out a wild dog and a fox out at those distances I'm yet to shoot any other animals to know how it works.
The UPR stocks are the same across the rimfire and centrefire. I've got a T3x UPR and have a regular T1x MTR to switch into the stock for .22 PRS matches.
I've just purchased a Tikka t1x mtr 22lr and I've only shot 40 gr bullets through it. It likes the cci standard velocity and the Aguila super extra It doesn't like the Winchester 1300 fps bullets. The Aguila shot the best group of the 3 and it's only $4.50 per box of 50. So, I like it too
Great review Ozzie. Yes the first question I asked myself when the original T1X arrived was why didn't they chamber one in 22 Magnum also? That is super accurate rimfire accuracy. Many thanks for sharing!
Nice. I've got a T1x in ab MDT Oryx chassis. Performs similar to your loaner with CCI SV, SK and Eley. Mine also loves Norma Tac-22, which is priced similar to SK. Seems to like 40gr best.
Varies a bit about $900 for the. 22 and $700 for the centrefire. It's the same stock. It's a mix of carbon fibre and fibreglass, much stiffer than a regular stock, which is what you want for competition.
good review thanks. so this is just the t1x barreled action in a better chassis than the crappy plastic one it comes with? can't see spending triple the money. be better off buying the regular t1x and throwing it in a krg or something and saving a little money.
I would have to agree...I've just purchased a Tikka t1x mtr 22lr and topped it off with a 2x7x33 Leupold Scope...I'm very impressed with the quality and accuracy of this 22lr
Try it out to 100m like a real Aussie, mate :) Don't worry about pandering to subscriber numbers, we don't have access to the firearms necessary to have a big gun channel in Aus.
22lr is cheap and plentiful and more than adequate out to 100-125m with a good setup on small game. 22 Magnum has been pretty much replaced by the 17HMR as it's more accurate and flatter shooting. Loaded with the 20 grain hollow points they have similar stopping power to a 22 Magnum at extended ranges due to bullet BC efficiencies. If you're buying a 22 Magnum or 17 HMR for bigger game like goats etc just get a 223 as the ammo is similar in price and gives you far greater performance and the ability to shoot the odd deer should the opportunity arise.
Hmmmm, I needed a roll of toilet paper to list the faults I found in my T1x MTR when I received it. I ended up with a half decent rifle, but I had to put a bunch of effort into it to make it what it is. What gets me is how come no one else notices these glaring faults and report them. I guess, maybe in this modern age the ability to recognize quality has been lost. One thing is for sure - manufacturers have no need to lift their game when whatever rubbish they produce is accepted without question.

@@Marcusb338 every day with Elley Match. My Lithgow 101 will hang with my Bergara. Bergara only just out shoots the lithgow by a mickey hair. But i dont know if my Lithgow is an average one or a freak of nature.
I have had my T1x 22lr standard stock for about three years great little rifle no issues with it at all.

I agree that Tikka should make a 22WMR. It is my preferred rimfire round for varminting.
Loving the tikka reviews. Just put my first pta in for a tikka 243 varmint and I'm now looking for a few more tikkas to add to my collection
I'm interested in purchasing a new 243...how does your Tikka 243 shoot. I'm looking at a Tikka and a Bergara in 243 for Hunting Predators

Good one! Any chance of reviewing the Howa1100? Looks pretty tempting, especially for the price.

Hi, Ozzie if can pick up one , CZ 457 or Tikka t1?
Another Excellent review 👍🏼
Looks quality but as per the centrefire, feels like there is a $1k premium for the stock which is a bit steep.
Varies a bit about $900 for the. 22 and $700 for the centrefire. It's the same stock.

Very similar looking to the CZ 457 LONG RANGE PRECISION. Even the color!

I could never own a gun that recoils like that
Somehow this guy talking and punching holes into paper makes me feel good 😅
An extra $1k for a better plastic stock is a total rip-off IMHO. Better off buying the standard T1X & pick up a better stock or chassis for @ $500.

The Sako or Tikka add on rubber bolt knob costs peanuts and does the trick.
Certainly a keeper for around the farm that’s for sure for those longer shots over 50 yards….👍
22 WMR would be great for sure!
Is this stock available to purchase to switch out the black polymer stock? Thanks...
APART FROM THE STOCK, IS THE BARRELED ACTION ANY DIFFERENT TO THE T1X?
No only the stock is different
At our local range we put both together & the rest is identical cheers
Is it worth double the price of a normal t1x though?
Nu, I love my standard t1x MTR, shoots beautifully 😍
Hope they make it in lect hand. Ill buy it fast they do.
Looks a lot like the cz457 Lrp
#ozziereviews could you do a review on the ruger m77 Hawkeye in 308
How does this compare to the Bergara HMR rimfire? Similar price and design. does the tikka feel better quality/value?
About the same. Depends on if you already shoot Tikka or 700 pattern for parts compatibility.
cold bore... shoot 10... then shoot for ur grps!
for each ammo used 👍🏻
I’d like to see this rifle in 17wsm
Tikka is a shooter for sure, but at that price, I think i will be staying with my Henry GBoy or Savage A22.
Probably easier to just get the regular t1x and slap any old stock on it, the only real difference with the UPR is the stock

Yea, I don't get why so many manufacturers DON'T offer rifles in .22 WMR. In my opinion, the best cartridge for small game hunting.

not a fan of the stock colour, looks like cookies and cream
I know tikka are good but they’re having a lend if they think they’re worth what they’re asking for nowadays. What a joke
