Hello Tony, Cool clamping setup to stop the vibration... and supporting the blade to allow it to follow as straight path was interesting. Take care. Paul,,
A recip saw is great for getting into tight spaces but not a tool I like using. We need to do some work on our identical bandsaw which does not cut very straight. I like your clamping
That's my stench pipe saw lol, bought just to perform two cuts. I've only been using it for firewood since installing my workshop toilet. This is the first time I've used it on an actual metal project. Impressive results. Cheers Tony
I know the feeling when these blades fail (expensive). I am using 18 TPI blades, they are less prone to getting stuck or chipping teeth compared to the 14TPI blades.
eyup Tony
ingeneous bit of clamping👍👍👍👍👍👍😉😉

Cheers Kev. It was surprisingly rigid. Weird though, how the previous cut sailed through without any problem.......Tony

@TheKnacklersWorkshop Pleased you liked the content. I must be doing something right. Cheers Tony
Well that got tricky. Glad you got thru it with only one broken blade.
Yes a bit of a brain teaser at the time. Cheers Tony
Like your planning stage Tony, bit like myself! 😂

Nothing that a grinder can't fix.
I agree, great tools have their place. Cheers Tony

I think it was a weak joint, the blade was/is still sharp. I've read some recent posts about some batches having bad joints. Cheers Tony
I hate the sound of a blade breaking. Nice work
Hi Randy. I'd turned the camera off not expecting anything exiting to happen, otherwise it would of been on film lol. $$ blade breaking.😮💨Cheers Tony
Well ,you did get it cut. Now for the clean- up.
Yes all went well thanks, got to start the welding now lol. Cheers Tony
