Ladies finger poriyal was my 1st tried recipe... I cut t into large pieces, saying my dad.... then only it’s healthier... if u cut vegetables into too small pieces, it looses its nutrition😂... similar reason said after half cooking the poriyal... my dad for a few days from then , stopped eating vegetables..😭😭

It reminds me of my first time cooking,
When my parents went for a function I try to cook by own to my brother,
I tried chilly chutney by reading a recipe book. I am not sure of the quantity of chilly to be added for 2 people as the recipe description is for 4 people but i just added same amount for 2 people.
Finally i added 9+ chillies to the chutney.
It become so spicy and i have no idea to reduce the spice so....
I added 3-4 spoons of sugar into that ..
Then you can imagine the taste 😝..
Finally Mom came back and cooked dinner.
My went directly to the bin..

This brought back my memory of class 12 my friend frequently tests her recipes gives her dish some weird names and bring those to class. As I was not too close to her she won't approach me to taste it. One day she took me one new dish and suggested me to taste it. I agreed. My friends were trying to tell me something but she frequently interrupted. Even I supported her and whole heatedly agreed to have a bite of the same. Anyway after so much struggle she made me eat the same. Thank God I am still alive after having it... I am still not able to figure out what was that dish or what was it's taste. Is it sour bitter or sweet? Anyway from that day onwards we would never let her to cook anything or bring to class even on any occasion....

I Will view all your videos. Even I had an experience like yours. I and my sister thought of making a lemon juice for our parents. We took 10 lemons from fridge and squashed. Only 20 ml of juice came. We added 12 tablespoons of sugar we did not get the sweet taste so next we added mouth freshner which was given in a restaurant. Only then mom told we should add water and mix it. Without mixing only it came like that. And not to add mouth freshner 🤗😅
