Glad you are O.K. I also saw some clips about this disaster. In the northern part of northern provinces got a severe damages more than Ha Noi. Be careful, and stay safe. Greetings from HoChiMinh city.
Wow, excellent video showing the damage in Tay Ho. I was surprised at all the trees down, some of them really big trees. Sadly a loss of so many trees and happy there wasn't more lives lost. Unbelievable how all the people just come out and start to clear things up. They wouldn't do that here.

Due to arrive in Hanoi in coming days - I hear weather is shit 💩- brain melted whether should cancel or not . What your general opinion if you were me May I ask ?
I haven't been into the old quarter since the storm. The storm has passed now. It's back to typical hanoi weather which means occasional thunderstorms but nothing too bad.
Bloody hell. I'm glad you're safe and I hope the people of Hanoi are recovering. I take it for granted living in a country where the worst it usually gets is a bit windy and rainy. I can go for a walk and not have to worry about getting chased by some nightmare fuel creature that I'm used to seeing in much smaller dimensions kept as a domestic pet. No spiders hiding in my shoes with enough venom in their fangs to take out a reasonably sized village. No snakes capable of crushing my skeleton and swallowing me whole. I have collossal respect for people who live with such risks daily and adventurous types like yourself who travel to distant places seeking insights and profound experiences. I became upset a few weeks ago on the Gower peninsula because it was a bit foggy and a small crab scuttled from beneath a rock and startled me. I accidentally touched a jellyfish and its rubbery texture made me feel ill and none of the pubs I visited stocked an IPA that was hoppy enough for my palate. There was a large woman with a harsh, gravelly, clacking voice in Plymouth and a man with arms like corned beef. It ruined everything. I guess I'm just too sensitive for this world.
We pray for our Vietnamese friends to be safe 🎉🎉🎉🎉love from Thailand ❤❤❤
Love Thai lan too❤ from Vietnam
How brilliantly resilient the Vietnamese people are, even having a bit of music to celebrate after the typhoon, great vid Scott. 👍
That's interesting footage, I enjoyed the video thanks man.
