There is no other song in the world I relate to more. 'Caught in the Middle' captures how it feels to be scared of the future and disappointed in the past. Sometimes we spend too much time dreaming about life that we don't actually live in reality.
I think their lyrics improved a lot with time as well, Their old songs used to be too teenage focused, and although they sounded very good when it came to the lyrics it wasn't very deep.
Damn I never knew anyone felt the same dread about getting old but also not finding comfort in the past... I really love Paramore, this album has really explored topics that most people like to sweep under the rug but it makes me feel better knowing there are other people who feel the same way
Greystorm1619 why would you want more people feeling the same way? Lol how does that makes you feel better? I wish people didnt feel as shitty as me, cus that way people wouldnt do so many different kinds of stupid shit
I think we all love paramore but this 80's post punk postmodern aesthetic is really working for me. Like i love them more now than i initially thought possible
"Nostalgia's cool but it won't help me now" that line I feel because we can get nostalgic about our childhoods about old friends memories or songs that were hits back then but all they are are memories we can't backtrack or go back into time these songs on after laughter litterally explain how growing up is a bitch
Hard Times, Fake Happy and Caught in The Middle are songs that truly reach my soul. The recent Paramore releases are kind of a therapy, because I keep thinking that I don't need to refrain myself from going through bad days while I'm listening to them. I need to go through bad days because no one is happy all the time and I cannot be happy all the time♡ the happy beat and sad lyrics are me when I think "fuck it, I'm sad now but I'm going to get better" ILYSM PARAMORE
Rafaelle Duarte that’s exactly how I feel since I listen to their music when I was like 11 or 12 😍 happy someone feels the same as me. Paramore is my therapy.
Esme Dc okay, yes but who gives them, the director, editor, and cinematographer, the freedom of creativity 🤷🏾♀️ I am into film and I know aspects of editing, cinematography, directing, I know when to give credit when due. I'm simply pointing out that they, meaning Paramore, let their creativity run wild and free - it's a team effort and we don't know who's idea it was for what
"I gotta keep going or they'll call me a quitter" Taking a course that I don't like but still pursuing it because I'm ashamed of being a quitter or loser. I keep telling myself that I need to keep going because a lot of o people are expecting something on me. It has an enormous impact on how I'm living right now. Being depressed, losing interest in my only hobby, having not satisfied with everything that I do. I'm exhausted.
I don't want to be a bummer or anything, but I feel this way most days as a professional. I'm lucky that I got a degree and a career, but it's getting me jaded to the point that I'm doing this just to stay out of the red. I'm sorry to bring this up, but I resonate with the words so much that I just had to.
``I don't need no help, I can sabotage me by myself``... great lyrics! so true. This whole album captures the honest emotional rawness that exists in us all. In a super colorful and creative way.
People always say that Paramore’s new songs are really different. And I agree with that, but why does that have to be a bad thing? The band was formed literally 19 years ago, they would’ve been getting hate if they hadn’t changed.
I was introduced to them by their newer stuff And only listened to a few of their singles and a few songs in after laughter But I finally forced myself to listen to their other songs and I’m really glad I did I love their old and new songs
People complaining that the 90's genre died and they want it back. Even after this smooth blend of hayley with the old school style, people still complaining. Like wtf u want?
Mulotong Jamir im 25 and i always go back to listening her old school music they are the best . Her live performance would make me feel an amazing feeling. I dont get that feeling with new rock music. I understand she changed her music. But legends in the past never did that . The beatles, slipknot, system of down, linkin park, queen. Its like the greatest players in sports switching to another sport . It wont fit together. Paramore was blessed to play rock like when she first started thats what she loved to do.
@@levirain6011 I disagree with 2 of the things that you said. The only reason she was so good live back then is because she worked her voice so much so her live performances could sound like the songs on her albums. It strained her voice a lot and you could tell. And also, I don't know about the other bands you listed, but I am a hige beatles fan. Their posters cover my room and i have a tattoo of their faces. What the fuck are you talking about😂 They changed their sound, lyrics, style and even genre so much. And I'd like to think it changed music and people's outlook on music for the better.

Paramore is really a great band, they were able to change throught the years, I want to be sincere, I am still in love with the old albums especially with their "Emo" era, I am really linked with that kind of music it was full of emotions.
My two favourite bands have something similar in that they defy being confined to the idea of genre. What stays consistent is the quality of the music and the lyrics, and the sincerity of emotion and message. They started out epitomizing rock, or rap, but have grown, expanded, experimented, and evolved the way they incorporate that root into the kind of music they want to create now. It's the balance of keeping true to both the past and present versions of yourself and allowing yourself to just create. As BTS says, "BTS is the genre," so I agree that "Paramore is the genre."
Is it just me? Or I could actually connect with the song? like really relate to it. This song is giving me the feels. It stings, but in an unexplainable good feels. Waaaah why you doing this to me Paramore! 😭
Iam Notarobot Actually, I have listened and liked all the previous songs from all the previous albums of Paramore, and I was really proud when the Self-titled album came out because their songs there are seriously amazing and meaningful, but this After laughter album is somethin else, it's the first time I was able not to just enjoy the music but really feel and relate to it, it's different, and this different is really good. So Yes, it really is the first time for my soul to be able to listen to a music, cause it's just a matter of what songs our soul relates into, before you could actually say you have "listened" to a "music." ☺
So different. And that's what makes wanting to listen to each of them special. You can pick each for whatever mood you're in but still end up listening to them
Over time, This album feels more and more like the self-titled album pt2. I feel as though After Laughter and Self-Titled lie as more focused statements about the band and where they are as individuals. And where the self-titled album dealt in the dreams and fantasies of growing up as a group and a person, After Laughter seems like it deals with finding yourself in maturity and adulthood, and the feelings and thoughts that accompany you as you wander into your old age.
When you not really proud of your past and the future is so uncertain, you struggle between greatness or total failure you keep motivating yourself or promising yourself that i gonna make it and everything Will be fine
Contentment is underrated. Just aim to do your best. Try not to see things in black and white, success or failure, that only adds pressure and can lead you towards disappointment and depression. If you just achieve a little everyday, you will succeed.
Hayley said herself in an interview that this song is the most honest she's ever been in any particular moment. It's also her favorite song to play live
I feel so bad for giving the chance to this album until now but maybe it was needed so I could find refuge and relief in music, when I'm going through this feelings❤️🥺 Thank you Hayley for being that open and fierce with this topics
I think it's disturbingly annoying to recognize the fact that the first time I heard this record I thought it was bad for a Paramore record, and took me almost 2 years to hear it over again and realize that it has super simple and catchy songs with AMAZING groove (and 26... nothing less). Thanks Zac!
As much as how weirdly cute and funny (and honestly looks like a part of those surreal memes) this video looks, for some reason I always cry when I watch this. Especially the part where she says "I don't need no help, I can sabotage me by myself." It just hits hard. I love their older sound but I love the poppier side just as much. Thank you so much pmore for after laughter, this album helps me so much whenever I find myself caught in the middle🖤
For me this song describes my battle with depression “I don’t need no help I can sabotage me by myself” being caught in the middle of trying to get better and wanting to give up.
PrincessRiners This is going to sound weird but, I keep seeing you in literally every other comment section of every video I watch. It’s really weirding me out.
Chad Thompson you don't even know, how to write hayley, so I wouldn't open my mouth this much. + the fans who support this group for many years are loving the new sound, because a group can't stay the same the whole time. And it's not HER group. It's paramore and not "hayley's group". This new style is about making their own sound and not staying in their emo phase.
2:47 I’ve been wondering for so long so I’ll help someone out “all the glory days are gone, it’s over now, I’m on my own” are what she’s saying in the background vocals
Hayley is only a year or so younger than I am, and I must say that I love that we’ve grown together. Lyrically, all of the songs have resonated with what I’m going through during each album’s cycle and I’m just so thankful to have had Paramore as musical therapy to cope with all the good and bad!
Man, this time signature change is driving me bonkers. Such brilliance in Paramore's conception and orchestration. The lyrics....can we recognize this?
There is no other song in the world I relate to more. 'Caught in the Middle' captures how it feels to be scared of the future and disappointed in the past. Sometimes we spend too much time dreaming about life that we don't actually live in reality.

Contentment is underrated. Just aim to do your best. Try not to see things in black and white, success or failure, that only adds pressure and can lead you towards disappointment and depression.
If you just achieve a little everyday, you will succeed.
@@connoroleary591 thanks man
True bro!!
I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING HOLY SHIT
nobody wARNED ME ABOUT THIS
Nadia that it sucks
Awsome**
Most artists stop at the dorky 80s aesthetic. But they're living it.
is it me or is paramore gets better and better, the lyrics got to me UGH ! T.T
Hayley said herself in an interview that this song is the most honest she's ever been in any particular moment. It's also her favorite song to play live
This song honestly fits everything that i'm going through rn. Kinda made me wanna cry.
Idle Worship will never be a single :'(
Idle worship must be the next single!
john vafeiadis then every song in after laugter will be a single, am i right?
Idol worship is my favorite
yeah because after laughter is the most awesome album ever?
No i don’t think it should be, simply because of its message. would literally just be the opposite of that.
I feel so bad for giving the chance to this album until now but maybe it was needed so I could find refuge and relief in music, when I'm going through this feelings❤️🥺 Thank you Hayley for being that open and fierce with this topics
I love it already and all I've seen is the pineapple
I love paramore 😍
i Love 'caught in the middle' so much 😍
omg 😭😭
Wow, just watched your latest video! Nice to meet you here, I like this one too!
Oh , hello 😁
TheBestTops Hi Tops!
Blubber blubber blubber!!!!
This whole album is a game changer this song is incredible my ass is sweating
I love how you went from ‘this song is incredible’ to ‘my ass is sweating’ 😂😂
I think it's disturbingly annoying to recognize the fact that the first time I heard this record I thought it was bad for a Paramore record, and took me almost 2 years to hear it over again and realize that it has super simple and catchy songs with AMAZING groove (and 26... nothing less). Thanks Zac!
#1 Trending in the UK. Well done guys on another great video. Hoping to see a pool one still but no worries if not. 5 fantastic videos from 1 album

FACTS
YESS
I'm so glad they made a video for this song, it's one of my fav from the new album
I am LIVING for this aesthetic
someone had a lot of fun with green screen
Frankie or green screen had a lot of fun with someone
Frankie 😂😂 facts
lolololololololol
Pretty soon it's gonna get even trippier
Give me green screen and watch the children cry!
As much as how weirdly cute and funny (and honestly looks like a part of those surreal memes) this video looks, for some reason I always cry when I watch this. Especially the part where she says "I don't need no help, I can sabotage me by myself."
It just hits hard.
I love their older sound but I love the poppier side just as much. Thank you so much pmore for after laughter, this album helps me so much whenever I find myself caught in the middle🖤
music distribution at its best
only paramore can make a song this upbeat and joyful with lyrics that sad af 🔥
lololololol
Every persian song ever tho xD

Reminds me of The Cure.
3rd eye blind remember?

WorldOfIvy all of the songs on afterlaughter should be singles literally every single song
Harley Quinnesque agreeee!
*_Paramore_*
-Paramore-
AHH I'M SO FRIGGIN' EARLY.
THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SONG
Whaaaaaaaat
what what
I know right
I do not understand any shit
lio 180, right. And I don't understand what you're saying. But okay.
For me this song describes my battle with depression “I don’t need no help I can sabotage me by myself” being caught in the middle of trying to get better and wanting to give up.
damn paramore has given us years of great music. ♡
PrincessRiners This is going to sound weird but, I keep seeing you in literally every other comment section of every video I watch. It’s really weirding me out.
Yep, and those years are long gone. This new music is shit.
Ned Nederlander Why tf are you here? Paramore and their fans doesn't need you🤷
Apemanwithcalculator I wouldn't call this pop lol
Chad Thompson you don't even know, how to write hayley, so I wouldn't open my mouth this much. + the fans who support this group for many years are loving the new sound, because a group can't stay the same the whole time. And it's not HER group. It's paramore and not "hayley's group". This new style is about making their own sound and not staying in their emo phase.
She is just wonderful, the 90s vibe is so nostalgic! They never let us down.
Erika Lawless
That long, blonde hair is really working for her. I dig it. I dig it hard.
I love this sound for them. Was never into the emo post punk genre, but this is a groovy new blend that I can appreciate.
2:47 I’ve been wondering for so long so I’ll help someone out “all the glory days are gone, it’s over now, I’m on my own” are what she’s saying in the background vocals
The lyrics under this video literally says it
Hayley is only a year or so younger than I am, and I must say that I love that we’ve grown together. Lyrically, all of the songs have resonated with what I’m going through during each album’s cycle and I’m just so thankful to have had Paramore as musical therapy to cope with all the good and bad!
ohmylord, the colors, the whole fruit setting and those yummy tunes
I love it i love it i love it
TheMoreTheMaryer I love it!!!
shawn lil feeble wobble yes haha x
Man, this time signature change is driving me bonkers. Such brilliance in Paramore's conception and orchestration. The lyrics....can we recognize this?
Time signature change where?
I didn't expect other music videos from this album...and then suddenly a video for my fav song.
I love you guys 💕
I feel like i went back to 80's
Anjay orh Indo
It’s like Penguin Prison
I wish
Were you there in the first place?
Sounds like a fun place to be
Can they just make an MV to all of the songs in After Laughter? All of them are so good!
i love this song. every time i listen to it im vibing and contemplating my life choices at the same time lol
This is one of the best Paramore songs ever.
