    thanks for the video. I have a 2016 Eos which I would like to fit with a backup camera. I've seen them with a flip up badge on the trunk. Do you have a recommendation for which camera would be most compatible with the stock radio/ screen? Thanks to much.

    I installed a Pioneer AVIC 5000 radio in my 2009 VW Eos. Now I want to install a Sirius XM tuner. The original radio had Sirius XM. Can I reuse the antenna or do I need to run the antenna they gave me to the outside of the car? I can't figure out a path to get from the back of the radio to the outside of the car on the hood or fender.

    Can I install a CD Changer Emulator to a VW Polo IV 9n3? It's a 2DIN radio, similar to this one in VW EOS.

    Hi, where would you suggest to mount the GPS antenna in my Eos? I don't really want it on the dashboard, so is there an alternative you could suggest please?

      Anywhere with clear line of sight to the sky is fine.

    PJ HELP! The radio in my 2014 VW EOS died. Still hearing noises and seeing little bleeps on the screen but that is it. The dealership says it needs to be replaced costing $4000!! An independent radio installer says he can not retrofit an aftermarket radio. What should I do???

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Find a better retailer that can fit an aftermarket radio. Any decent installer should have no problem doing this,try searching your area on Google for a car radio installation shop and give them a bell. As for the dealership I'm afraid that's pretty normal for most main dealers so avoid at all costs.

    Hi, Thanks for the video. DO you know if the radio that you took out on this car can be substituted for the later radio that gas the larger screen and gps in it using the same plugs ? Thank you

      Never tried it but would expect either extra modules needed or a ecu recode.

    Hi, this is à very good vidéo tutorial, very well made.
    I have just one question about installing New GPS DAB radio antenas.
    Where can I install câbles (hided inside dashboard) ) so the antenas can be placed on dashboard, especially GPS antena ?
    I'm afraid if this need drilling !

      You would be best to get a window mount antenna and simply run the cable down the A pillar and under the dashboard.

    Nice video! I have a secondhand Eos from 2008 with a WinCE radio that includes GPS. The antenna was placed in the right side of the dashboard and very close to the windscreen. Since I have the car the GPS has worked only a few times. It has a GPS monitor where I can see the signal of each satellite. After 2 months of test I've realized that the problem was the ATHERMIC windscreen. The GPS signal didn't cross it. I've changed the place of the GPS antenna. Now it's under the radio and I can place it over the dashboard attached to a magnet when I'm going to use the GPS navigator(it is supposed that the GPS signal can go through the windscreen just near the inside rearview). Now it's working very well but not always so I think that there's a problem with the connection between the antenna an the radio. What do you think of my problem? Thanks in advance

      It sounds like external interference now you have moved the antenna,try switching off any fm transmitters or Bluetooth devices before checking that the antenna earth shield is in good order.

    • @aapfom
      @aapfom 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PJsprojects That's possible but I've tried it several times before. In this WinCE radio I can disconnect the bluetooth from the settings but I can't do the same thing inside the FM radio app(there isn't a stop button). I can stop the FM radio with a secondary menu that I can launch in any app and that has an option to disable any sound (radio, CD music, USB music...). That menu also allows to use the PiP(similar to android OS) mode. Thanks

    Eos radio working be not getting any sound HELP

    • @PJsprojects
      @PJsprojects  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check basics first,did the radio have sound originally? are any speakers fitted behind the grills? if yes to both those questions then you will need to test a door speaker with another radio to see if it's the radio at fault or the speakers/speaker cables.
