Just went over 25 hours on my 2022 Big Game Edition XP1000 and was going to try to figure this all out... this was great to find...Ill be using this info soon... thanks Jim
Just got my new 2022 Ranger Premium 1000 in Onyx Black. I love it. I picked it up a couple days ago. Never owned a side by side before. Your videos have been a great help to me.
I found the same amount of shaving in my front gearcase after doing the 25 hour service on my 2025 XP 1000. I thought it was quite a bit for a break in period. I’ll proviso another fluid change relatively soon maybe another 25-50 hours.
Very good video. I am going to try and purchase a my first side by side soon. It will be either the XP 1000 or the 1000 Premium. Not sure which one yet. All I have ever owned is a golf cart. So hopefully I'll be able to upgrade.
I dont recall the price of the kit but you can contact the dealer and ask them. you can get kits online for $165.00 though. ranger.polaris.com/en-us/shop/maintenance/lubricants/2830555/

I’m glad that I am not the only one who struggles with inserting the dip stick…get better Polaris!

I purchased a 1000 Premium and am super happy with it. I think you would be as well. DJ has great videos for his SXS.
You did a great job on the video, I was planning on taking mine to the dealer for the 1st service but I may do it myself now. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. Glad you liked it. Save the money and do it yourself.
Pull the fill plug 1st as a vent for better draining.
Thank Yoy!
My dealer said to use demand drive fluid in the front diff. It looked like you used AGL.
I used whay my dealer recommended to me to use
@@DJsWorkshop okay didn't want you to damage anything so I would check it out. Thanks for the quick reply
@@roydilliplane4090 you are correct. The manual says to use AGL for the rear gear case and Demand Drive Fluid for the front gearcase.
How much did this service cost ya roughly. Nice video thanks

Where did you get those nice looking Allen sockets
Harbor freight
where did you grease it? kit came with grease...can you show those spots?
There weren't any grease fittings that I could see. Maybe for a different model
So, I see I'm not the only one who found the oil plug crush washer in the bottom of their drain pan after they added their fresh oil :-(
The manual was useless. Thank you.
I know, those manuals can be difficult to decipher.
