- Over the course of this summer Ten Hove Contracting from The Netherlands have been busy with a lot of different jobs. The harvest of grass silage and haylage have been at the forefront with a lot of different jobs taking place. We join the company for our third installment looking at more machinery from their extensive fleet which houses a lot of Fendt tractors.
Other jobs carried out in this video are land levelling and spading. We look at the farms new Lely Astronaut A5 milking robot and, last but not least, a new Ploeger CM4240 self-propelled merger is on demonstration. This impressive machine can rake grass up to 12m wide at 20 km/h top speeds.

What a very busy company Ten Hove are and running there own farm too, I wish them well for the next harvest .
Yes, there is never a dull moment but the whole family is involved plus 19 employees.

Big M 420 both cuts and merge at the same time, I cant really see the advantage with Ploeger?
Most customers will want the grass to dry first before it is being raked. The Ploeger was tested but not purchased.

Dont understand why they use the 818 to packing the bales and the 927 with the platform wagon to collect the bales.... why they didnt drive the 1270 with the 927 he would do it easy with all knifes in...
Don't tell anyone but the 714 that was in front of the wagon broke down so they had to fetch the 927 lol.
