Fascinating! It was a nuclear war bunker that was converted to civilian civil defense use, for managing natural disaster responses and such, probably into the 90's. It was either checked off as cleared out of all equipment (when it really wasn't, obviously) or it is supposed to be maintained currently at a bare minimum (which it isn't) in case it's needed again in an emergency. Either way, as we say in Texas, that's your tax dollars in action (with a sarcastic smile). Great video, my friend. It's so cool for you to visit a bunker and find the equipment actually in it!!!

I think that bunker may still be active as a civil defense bunker, but broken into and the county hasnt noticed yet. Many old civlil defence bunkers dont have alarm systems, It was thought bigg doors with good keys would keep people out. Especially since they were meant to not even be discovered.
That was so awesome. It’s crazy that it still had power. And I could just tell that it was definitely a Cold War bunker. There’s probably stuff hidden in places there.

@@WW2HistoryHunter well that means if there's power coming to the bunker from the outside there's an active meter. Feeding it from an outside utilities facility....sooooo who's paying the biill ??.....would be interesting to find out. I would think.
It was used postwar for sure. Some of the electrical installation seems to be updated relatively recently. I probably wouldn't have gone in, after noticing that the thing still has power. That means someone could still use it for whatever reason. Having said that, you are lucky you didn't ran into some nazis coming out of this secret bunker. I agree, I'm no expert, but I thought some of the things in there looked a bit too modern for WW2 era? Like the gauges on that switchboard, and that urinal, of all things! I may be wrong though....
Can you imagine the standing monthly charge on that bad boy bill? £4.99pm for what 70 years? plus the actual charge for usage. I hope they have a smart meter! 😁
That was just awesome!! Looked like a modern day ceiling light I thought and some of it so clean, wondered if it was being looked after in some way by some one? Loved the vid. Great find again! Always a 👍
To be honest it’s easy to know why it still has power. If it’s a secret place wouldn’t it have a secret hookup to lined power? I bet the diesel tanks are right full. Hindsight tells me they would not of needed the generator. Also makes sense that somewhere there is a forgotten order to not shut off some massive breaker at the power company. “Hey what’s this old breaker for? Oh we don’t talk about that breaker… move along 🤣 “
Amazing find! Any indications as to whose operations were there? Looks like there was a nameplate of "Col. xxx" someone or other by the stairs - probably could find some more information that way. And the fact that there was still power feeding it, and lights on; somewhere there's an energy feed and someone's paying the bill! Almost looks like could be partially restored as an historical museum of sorts, as a reminder of the cold war. Or might be a great fixer-upper for your home-away-from-home :)
@@useitwice Never mind - my bad. I ran it back again at .25 speed, and at 13:47 , the red plate with the yellow half circle clearly says "CO2 APPARAT". I was close :) Still very intriguing. A location would tell a lot, but there are some things we are better off not knowing!
I am trying to figure it out. It might have been something the Germans started and then developed after the war. It seems like a lot of building activities in the early 50s. Thanks Allen.
I didn't notice any writing anywhere except numbers on the doors. I can't figure why those lights were on either. So are you saying this was a shelter?
Cool awesome find thank you for sharing this piece of history with us great job all of you👍. Would have loved to see where the stairs was at the end of the video led to? Would have been interesting to see and explore?
You need to come explore around the area I live in, South Wales. Old munitions factory and lots of bunkers / buildings still in place over a massive area.
Obviously someone is using this space - and recently, (all the plastic bottles within). It's far too clean for antiquity. Maybe they hid upon your approach. This can happen when entering abandoned buildings and instillations. Caution must be taken to avoid disaster.
Take a Geiger Counter with you next time and be careful please. A friend of mine explored a couple sites in Poland and the military showed up - they removed him from the property because it was highly contaminated with radioactivity.
Thanks for tip and for watching.
I was about to say the same thing.
Where did the radioactivity come from ?
@@QuantumMech_88 my guess would be that they research or refined plutonium or nuclear material in one of those bunkers (Project Riese for example).
"they removed him from the property because it was highly contaminated with radioactivity." Or that was the excuse they used to remove him.
The urge to throw those huge switches in the generator room was strong 😂 What a great place to explore 👍
What good does it do to "throw" those switches when the generator doesn't work and there's no battery backup ? "lights still working" = Nope .

I think that bunker may still be active as a civil defense bunker, but broken into and the county hasnt noticed yet. Many old civlil defence bunkers dont have alarm systems, It was thought bigg doors with good keys would keep people out. Especially since they were meant to not even be discovered.
Maybe it ran off of natural gas.
No. someone have stripped away some copper on the generator (not the engine)
That was so awesome. It’s crazy that it still had power. And I could just tell that it was definitely a Cold War bunker. There’s probably stuff hidden in places there.
Thanks and more to come soon :)
such an amazing find, though it does look like a ww2 bunker modernized a little. maybe into the 60s?
judging by the paint coloring and general layout. I would say this is a british bunker.
Could be and thanks my friend.
13:30 operation room. I am loving this.
Great explore and thanks :)
Wow that is amazing. It still had power? It's amazing what you can come across in the woods. I would love to have taken my truck on that road. Great find Happy History Hunting.
Yes , very strange that electric is still in there. Someone must have forgot to unplug it :) Thanks my friend.
@@WW2HistoryHunter @ 9:34 looks like a Smart Meter, so it only had to be installed quite recently.
Its a Kamstrup 382 electricity meter. Modern stuff
The operations room and the staircases are fascinating,
I agree and thanks.
That was absolutely amazing video I thought that I'd never see anything like that I hope that you're going to show more videos of that be safe and keep smiling again that was absolutely amazing proud to be German
Thanks Kenneth
Thanks for sharing the adventure! Definitely keep a Geiger counter and air quality tools with you!. Amazing find, wonder who is paying for the power there? Crazy! All the best!!
Good question and we dont know actually. Thanks for watching.
Must not be completely abandon....why would there be power still there??also if it's post W.W..2. bunker and location it would be either a NATO or a Warsaw pact installation...
.great adventure for sure.
I had to watch this video twice....never done that before.
It seems like someone just forgot to pull the last plug :) Thanks
@@WW2HistoryHunter well that means if there's power coming to the bunker from the outside there's an active meter. Feeding it from an outside utilities facility....sooooo who's paying the biill ??.....would be interesting to find out. I would think.
Awsome find :D That electricity meter at 9.33 is kind of new, it`s possibly a date on it so you can see when it was produced or changed at least ;)
ok and thanks.
Some 90+ year old grandpas with MP40's and Mausers. :D
😂 that would be an interesting encounter.
I think it is 80 % post war or even 100 & post war. Thanks for watching.
Amazing find! Congratz!
Looking forward to see how this developes..Very exciting! 😮
You and me both!
I do believe it was repurposed after ww2
I know you're going to do. Your homework on this find
That's omg moment
As always Great Show

I agree, I'm no expert, but I thought some of the things in there looked a bit too modern for WW2 era? Like the gauges on that switchboard, and that urinal, of all things! I may be wrong though....
i think it must have been either made in the 50s or repurposed after the war. Thanks.
Hi, wow I really wish you had explored further and gone up all the different stairs, what a fantastic find. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
Next time Sue and that video is out now :)
Somebody is paying an electric bill without realizing it...
🤣
Can you imagine the standing monthly charge on that bad boy bill? £4.99pm for what 70 years? plus the actual charge for usage. I hope they have a smart meter! 😁
Or even 80 years! My maths is crap after a beer or two! 😁
Thanks for watching.
Wow what a huge find. Those generators are big. Great detail. Wow. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
HH pops up on my screen...... I click..... simple! 😁
He he good stuff David and thanks for that :)
My thoughts exactly!
When are you going to post an update to this Bunker I would love to see it.Thanks guys for doing this.
Well it will come but not just yet. Thanks.
Turkish ; mükemmel bir video olmuş tebrikler
The English ; It was an excellent video, congratulations
Thanks Halit
That was just awesome!! Looked like a modern day ceiling light I thought and some of it so clean, wondered if it was being looked after in some way by some one? Loved the vid. Great find again! Always a 👍
it was very humid , moist and dusty in there so i wouldnt know. Thanks Glenn.
Can't figure out how those were still powered. Very good secret stuff! 👍
You and me both!
What color was the nameplate youre thinking of?
@@useitwice Never mind - my bad. I ran it back again at .25 speed, and at 13:47 , the red plate with the yellow half circle clearly says "CO2 APPARAT". I was close :) Still very intriguing. A location would tell a lot, but there are some things we are better off not knowing!
@@paca_bill4863 very close! :)
Thanks for comment and for watching.
@@paca_bill4863 Google tells me APPARAT is Swedish for apparatus or in English this would say fire extinguisher.

@@Strawballs75 Great name
1 of the most epic finds ever! Possibly someone recently purchased this property and slowly wanting to restore it...idk
I really couldnt tell but we are going to show more later i hope. Thanks.
That whole place looked German built and Soviet used. Makes you wonder what was going on there. Great find thanks for sharing.
Not repurposed, post WW2 construction. A nuke age construct.
I am trying to figure it out. It might have been something the Germans started and then developed after the war. It seems like a lot of building activities in the early 50s. Thanks Allen.
That's what you call a diamond in the rough for sure. Amazing explore.
I would agree on that and very glad i could share it with you :)
Turkish ; bu güzel kanalı yeni keşfetmiş olmam üzücü
English ; It's a pity that I just discovered this beautiful channel
Be happy instead that you have hours of unseen videos to watch :)
@@useitwice you are right too
Very glad to read that and thanks my friend.
@@WW2HistoryHunter 😊
Go to the videos list and enjoy. I rewatch them all each year.
This has become a special video, quite exciting to see what is being discovered.
Very special that the electricity is still present.
Interesting place it is Oma and thanks.
I didn't notice any writing anywhere except numbers on the doors. I can't figure why those lights were on either. So are you saying this was a shelter?
I think it is a cold war bunker. Thanks Skimmer.
I like doing extensive research...what is the nearest possible power source, water, etc. Another enjoyable video.
Thanks for watching.
Alot of copper 😃😃😃
exactly what i was thinking
ok and thanks.
Fantastic video buddy great to see history is a stark reminder of our past !!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Cool awesome find thank you for sharing this piece of history with us great job all of you👍.
Would have loved to see where the stairs was at the end of the video led to? Would have been interesting to see and explore?
Next time!
@@WW2HistoryHunter look forward to seeing it.
Thank you bro for all that you are doing to show this
My pleasure
Excellent video, fantastic find. Hope to learn more about that place. Thanks again for your work.
Glad you enjoyed it
Excellent Discovery and Sketchy at best ..... “Run Forest” Thank You for sharing ✌️
Thank you too!
wow, one of your best finds yet !
Thanks 👍
Stunning place and a bit of a strange, abandoned and forgotten, stay safe
Agree a very interesting place it is Iain. Appreciate you watching.
You should check out the make and model of the light bulbs. It would give you an idea of when the last time people were there.
Good idea and thanks.
You need to come explore around the area I live in, South Wales. Old munitions factory and lots of bunkers / buildings still in place over a massive area.
Sounds cool and you never know :) Thanks
Little air compressors probably for the generator many of those big diesels had air powered starter motors.
ok and thanks for watching.
Amazing find. Hope there is a part 2!
Time will tell :) Thanks
There is now
Obviously someone is using this space - and recently, (all the plastic bottles within). It's far too clean for antiquity. Maybe they hid upon your approach. This can happen when entering abandoned buildings and instillations. Caution must be taken to avoid disaster.
Will look into it more later. Thanks.
Wonderful find, although not your usual period, absolutely fascinating. I kept looking for all those "Holy Cows" but I didn't see one!
Glad you enjoyed it and the cows got scared we coming in :) Thanks my friend.
This one is amazing! Thanks!
Glad you like it!
That was incredible! I would of loved to have been with you to explore this bunker.
Thank for watching.
