This Is Your Racing Life host Dr Turf (John Rothfield) catches up with champion trainer Darren Weir, who recently achieved a record 449 winners in the 2016/17 racing season. Originally from Berriwillock in country Victoria, Weir had his greatest victory with Prince of Penzance in the 2015 Melbourne Cup, but he's certainly not resting on his laurels.

Weir has just plead guilty to animal cruelty. He was caught on video using a jigga on 3 horses. A jigga is an electronic device used to freak out the horse to make it run faster. Very sad considering his horseman ship skill. He knew better!
