well put! i went all in on naraka this 2023, and committed about more than a thousand hours - in game and outside the game (watching replays, guides, and videos). overall, it's been an incredibe experience in so many ways. the game will only keep getting better as time.
Naraka is so much fun, i remembered playing it in beta version, and i loved it so much that i pre-ordered it but my PC wasnt so strong to run the game smoothly, after few years i was like wait I have naraka on my steam and started playing it like a month ago and now i m addicted to it, there are so much stuff you can do in the game its crazy that its not really played in EU much as it should be. I seriously recommend everyone to try this game

Although there are spammers that get annoying to die to, I see myself enjoying the aesthetics and character customisation as well as the gameplay. Naraka is by far the best game I have played so far this year!
Got to Solar on xbox with crossplay on. This was the point where i stopped playing because i felt i couldn't keep up with the players as a controller player.
I stopped playing naraka, this game isn’t worth it unless you have a PC. I spectated this pc player in ranked TRIOS, he solo’d the whole match and won. The way he moved and how fast his camera moved was crazy. Going against PC vs Console is just a slaughter. Sure you can beat some of players but the hardcore ranked mode players are near impossible. Their frames are higher and console is kinda laggy. Back to the dude who solo’d trios, he was like some naraka god 😂 man I never seen anyone play like him.

Do you think it is more important to learn weapon combos or the neutral aspect of fights first? And do you have any tips/video suggestions for trying to learn neutral in general?
I don’t have a specific video on how to learn neutral, but I’d say doing customs helps a whole lot, just pay attention to when you stagger the opponent and when you fail. You can also just go into training mode and program a bot to do basic attacks, then do your best to armor through the basic attacks to catch with your own. Combos are what you use to capitalize on winning neutral, so both are pretty important. If you’re brand new, learning some combos could be a good idea just to get used to some of the mechanics. Then as you’re trying to practice neutral you can try to go for a combo each time you win it.

However i do pose a question tho, how do you combat frustration in playing the game? i love the game a lot but at the same time, i do find myself taking a week or 2 break from it. it could be that the fact that i only play trios and depend on matching with randoms and its a coin flip. keep up the awesome content and cheers to NARAKA in 2024!
Learning more about the mechanics and mastering movement/combo is fun and also being able to utilize it in Solos makes me want to keep going! Only sunken 100 hours on it and currently Solar, but tryna balance work/life while tryna grind is hard lmao.

Ping is frustrating sometimes for sure. I really do think the average player doesn’t notice it nearly as much as top level players at least though. And with adding another server potentially splitting the playerbase in half, that kinda scares me lol
My biggest issue with naraka is that there just isn't a big enough active player base. I feel that it needs at least twice or thrice as many active players. It would finally allow us to get rid of bots and fix the terrible progression of facing bots then suddenly players vastly superior in skill and experience, by padding out the curve with beginner and intermediate players.
New players would always be beneficial yeah. There are other ways as well, removing the bot setting, resetting rank, making crossplay mandatory, lowering player cap per game, etc
I hate playing vs players but good thing there's vs bot and those bot really entertain me and will help me better my skill in this game, im on hard bot now and those bots do counters a lot.

I tried it before on ps5 release but all the systems and combos just felt a bit overwhelming to me and I’d end up getting sent back to menu as soon as I got in a game, which really sucked because of the long ass queue times. I’m willing to try it again but I’m not even sure how to start getting good at this game.
As one of the top kurumis na on xbox the game is great but there's only 2 things bad about it its optimization for all consoles is terrible I shouldn't be running 40 fps on a brand new xbox series s and another thing is the skill gap between PC players and console players PC has way better optimization and frame rates and better combos while most combos can be done on controller there way harder to do plus with the poor optimization and sever performance PC players are 7/10 going to be doing better in fights if it was a top PC player against a console player 9/10 the plc player would win. but my rating on the game after all of that is 8/10

I love playing this game, but it doesn't have a South America server, so I have to play in North America server with 200 ping. Take a guess how long it takes for attacks to come out and how I even try to time counters.

it's so unfortunate it's not an mmorpg. i think it really fun game back then even I bought chinese account to get access a week before global launch. because it's Battle Royale, it's boring after you played for a month. it would be cool if they make this game arena battle like 3v3 / 6v6 / 10v10, or go for MMORPG instead of BR.

There aren't many competitive Melee games, arena shooters like Paladins or Overwatch are wrong in not having pure Melee characters with dash abilities that help get on the flanks and fight.
Which gamemodes do you recommend, I tried queuing on SEA servers and couldnt get a game to save my life and about a year ago when I used a vpn to play the mainland china version I would get games instantly. It seems like thats still the case (when i tried queuing see a few days ago and couldnt get a game)? either that or I'm queuing in the wrong gamemodes or I'm doing something wrong do you have any thoughts regarding this?

@Avistii on console(I assume PC aswell) you can turn off the bots it takes a little longer to get a game sometimes though

There is no way to use mouse and keyboard on console. I’m on PC, just playing through the Xbox app instead of steam

As one of the top kurumis na on xbox the game is great but there's only 2 things bad about it its optimization for all consoles is terrible I shouldn't be running 40 fps on a brand new xbox series s and another thing is the skill gap between PC players and console players PC has way better optimization and frame rates and better combos while most combos can be done on controller there way harder to do plus with the poor optimization and sever performance PC players are 7/10 going to be doing better in fights if it was a top PC player against a console player 9/10 the plc player would win. but my rating on the game after all of that is 8/10
Yeah when it comes to players of equal skill level, the better hardware can be a determining factor for sure
I really like for honor and it's unique take on the "fighting game" genre it has. This looks like another unique take on it so I'm gonna give it a shot!
Bots are dope, they are pretty tough until you get better and it helps me know how im progressing, I cant be the only one that thinks like this

I just played a solo game that was full of bots and had a few players. Sucks because I was really looking forward to playing this.
Low rank will have that, if you keep playing and use those bot matches as practice you’ll be much more prepared for the player matches

I love playing this game, but it doesn't have a South America server, so I have to play in North America server with 200 ping.
Take a guess how long it takes for attacks to come out and how I even try to time counters.
200 ping = 200ms = 0.2 seconds delay, which is rough… hopefully they provide SA servers one day

Just played my first game a while ago with random trios and won tha mask, might be because of that settings which replenishes bots. That grapple hook to the ground I did not know that it can knockback enemies, definitely a high tier technology not meant for noobs like me. 5:40 and this man multi-level combo'd that dude like he was playing Tekken

Vastly US based demographics that watch my channel. Lots of Chinese people play, but of course they’re playing from within the US so demographics don’t differentiate that. Nobody is VPNing from other countries into the NA server

it's so unfortunate it's not an mmorpg. i think it really fun game back then even I bought chinese account to get access a week before global launch. because it's Battle Royale, it's boring after you played for a month. it would be cool if they make this game arena battle like 3v3 / 6v6 / 10v10, or go for MMORPG instead of BR.
Came into the game 2 days ago on PSN the biggest blocker for me is connection, I would like to know is it a me issue or is this just a PSN problem. also just watching you play the grapple floor to extend air combo never even thought of that
What is your ping? There shouldn’t be any connection issues beyond high ping if you’re far away from the server

There aren't many competitive Melee games, arena shooters like Paladins or Overwatch are wrong in not having pure Melee characters with dash abilities that help get on the flanks and fight.
Which gamemodes do you recommend, I tried queuing on SEA servers and couldnt get a game to save my life and about a year ago when I used a vpn to play the mainland china version I would get games instantly. It seems like thats still the case (when i tried queuing see a few days ago and couldnt get a game)? either that or I'm queuing in the wrong gamemodes or I'm doing something wrong do you have any thoughts regarding this?
