It’s a specific swap combo tech, I’ll be doing a guide on it soon but here’s a video that mostly explains it in the meantime th-cam.com/video/ifI7AuFNI2s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-760bRsEVHsmGmfm
Hi, I just started playing the game, and right now, I’m not too concerned about combat combos or movement-that’s something I'll focus on later. I’m mostly trying to figure out how the game works, but I’m a bit confused about the weapons. Do characters have their own unique weapon systems, or can they all use any weapon? If every character can use the same weapons, what sets them apart? Is it just the F-button skill and ultimate that differ? Is there a leveling system for each character, and if so, what does leveling do? Does it let you equip better weapons? Do you start with a weapon, or do you need to find them in-game? When you find a weapon, is it random, or are you only able to pick up weapons tied to your character? Your guide doesn’t seem to address this, and I’ve been searching everywhere, including TH-cam, to get some clarity. It would really help me choose which of the five free characters to invest in. Also, are skill trees linked to weapons or characters? Lastly, is it better to use a keyboard or controller? I'm playing on PC.
As I say in the beginning of the video, the guide is meant to help beginners graduate to the intermediate or advanced stages, not to help people who have never played before become beginners. I highly recommend simply downloading the game and playing through the tutorials, and that will give you a decent amount of basic knowledge to better understand this more complex guide. With that said, I do have videos that explain the very most basic fundamentals and game functions, which you can find here: “The FIRST Naraka Bladepoint Guide You Should Watch” th-cam.com/video/8ba9rnpK_DQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0nF6odtuXake0lGf
i've been trying to hit the basic longsword, katana and heng sword combos for 3 days now but i keep missing the final focus vertical because the bot just dodges out of the way. I'm trying to release the focus attack at the fastest possible timing but i can't tell if I'm stupid and overholding it or if I screwed up the grapple bump or if im supposed to overhold it and let them dodge then release to wherever they dodge.
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, for that combo a FPS of at least 70+ is required. Moreover try to grapple once your uppercut starts, which means dont wait for the animation to end
That’s called an inventory swap, where you hold your primary weapon input (1 on pc), scroll up to the weapon mid uppercut, and release 1. I’ll be making a video explaining how to do them pretty soon!
Question: is is feasible to try and punish an attack just by being out of range? Or jumping over it? Like in normal fighting games? Or do most attack just auto track auto advance and hit you in the air too?
Certain attacks and abilities can be spaced with jumping, but jumps have no I-frames so you can’t use it like a dodge. Spacing can absolutely work for punishing whiffs though
what is the point of having horizontal and vertical attacks? if I do a simple 123, for example, is there any real difference between using lmb and rmb to do it? when does it make a difference?
If you’re doing a simple 123 combo then no, not a big difference. As far as more advanced combo chains and juggles though, making use of both is essential. When I’m going over the combos section of this video it should explain when it makes a difference pretty well
@@ChefOfTheDeadalright, thanks! I got another question, why would you do H-HD-H as a beginning of many combos instead of just doing a 1,2? is there a point in doing two initial horizontal attacks in a row instead if just continuing the combo normally before uppercutting?
Only a “starter” attack will allow you to chain into an uppercut, and as mentioned in the video, only H or only V will work depending on the weapon. So that’s it, only the first attack in a chain will true combo into an uppercut, and dodging resets the chain, as opposed to directly flowing into the other attack
Hiya, for some reason I don't seem to have the Matchmaking Settings in my Settings menu... so the Replenish Bots option is not even available... anyone knows why that is?
Hey I'm a bit confused on "holding left or right to cancel the grapple roll" I hold right and my character rolls every time. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? should I be holding right after the grapple animation or before?
The moment that your body impacts the player during the grapple bump is the essential time to be holding it. I recommend in the video that you can start holding right or left as soon as when you fire the grapple. Just make sure you hold it all the way until you’re grapple bump has hit and you’re already charging the focus attack
Thank you for the video but as a new player I am SO lost! How do I "hold dodge"? I think I never did a hold dodge before and when I try it (SHIFT + WASD) it just does not work.
A hold dodge is done by holding down the dodge button briefly, as opposed to tapping it. I recommend you watch my “the first naraka blade point guide you should watch” video first
@@ChefOfTheDead Thank you about the video recommendation, I watched it some times over and over and I am starting to improve. Sadly I still have some scenarios where I try to go in for the kill and then getting my ass whooped (instead of healing myself) and I also sadly still have scenarios where the opponent just attacks me to death, even when I try to dodge but I think those are the things that I will learn by playing sooner or later.
But how does the stagger effect work? Why is it dangerous to mess up a parry? Does a successful parry trigger a stun? What about in the combo state? Can you not dodge out of it if ure on the recieving end or must u have a combo breaker? I wished u had explained that at the very beginning. Been playing Lost ark pvp quite a while and that is also a game where status effects is super important to understand before trying to explain the pvp system
The guide is intended for players with an understanding of basic mechanics explained by the in game tutorials, not necessarily for players who haven’t played whatsoever. I recommend playing through the tutorials and you will then understand these basics and get much more out of the guide. Although, I do answer most of this within the video anyways.
@@ChefOfTheDead Ah okey. Must have missed the part about the parry thing. Was wondering about picking this game up hoping the pvp would be much like Lost ark. So I was missing basic knowledge completely and found ur video difficult to grasp entirely ^^
So what do you do when your opponent's white attack cuts through your white attack? Or their blue attack cuts through your blue attack? Or you parry a charge attack and your opponent's attack connects anyway? From my understanding this should be impossible given the game's combat rules. Yet it happens to me constantly whenever facing human players. It never happens when I face bots. Only humans.
I don’t really know what you’re talking about honestly, but obviously if you’re releasing attacks at the same time as your opponent then they would clank. If that isn’t happening then it would be because of some weird desync or lag
@ChefOfTheDead Then it must be my connection or something because it only happens in PVP. In bot mode, white attacks will clank with each other like they are supposed to. But in PVP, my opponents always cut through my white attacks with their own white attacks. If they charge, I'll counter right at release, and it just cuts through my counter anyway. It is beyond infuriating. Guess I'll just stick to bot mode.
I would practice your timing in custom games rather than bot mode. Timings for players are slightly different than against bots, since bots function at 0 ping
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, so a good PC would actually benefit in game placement (an advise from a player that learns from china tiktok)
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, for that combo a FPS of at least 70+ is required. Moreover try to grapple once your uppercut starts, which means dont wait for the animation to end (an advise from a player that learns from china tiktok)
Thank you for this guide it’s very helpful! If i want to attack cancel for movement with the fan, should I use horizontal or vertical? When I try to use horizontal it just keeps doing the wind gust attack after the dodge
Yeah you have to delay that horizontal slightly if you want to avoid the wind blast, but since it’s sort of easy to mess up you can just go with vertical and be safe
idk how i cant get the grapple combo to work with dual blades how does he like float longer for you, the guy drops so fast for me, and i roll out of the grapple
The bot doesn’t float any longer for me, it’s just about timing and input speed for the focus attack to be able to land. I explain in the video how to avoid the roll, you have to hold your movement input to the side. Try firing your grapple earlier and holding vertical attack immediately after.
@@DjKnightSky23 just watch over the combos and try to match the timing, if your grapple isn’t cutting off the uppercut as early as mine is, you aren’t inputting the grapple early enough. You can queue the input somewhat, so try shooting your grapple what feels like excessively early
My FPS drops heavily sometimes I dont know if its because my pc cant bear the Game, I have FPS settings at 75 and shadows and stuffs at low but stills It freezes much, do you know why?
If you have everything set to the very lowest graphical settings besides post processing, you should be good with no big frame drops. However when it comes to hardware, you should really have the game downloaded on ssd instead of hdd
I wish what those random letters meant in the combo section. That part of the video ment nothing to me since I don't know any of that our how to do a launcher
I'm so lost. And I just found out that I'm starting LITERALLY around the time Xbox 1 support is being discontinued, so I'm hoping it's easier to learn on a weak PC...
@@ChefOfTheDead Good to know thanks, also how do you move backwards and forwards in the same dodge frame ? my character simply does not do that XD Ty in advance
@@dragonofdesteny5767 the “forward” movement after a backwards dodge is simply from the attack. A hold dodge has very little recovery time and lets you immediately flow into an attack, which tracks the opponent in front of you
Maybe listen to that part of the video again 😅. Normally I’d just tell you but you’re like the third person to ask and I’m confused how it’s not clear lol
@@ChefOfTheDead i may habe overlooked something but i habe not seen any Option in game that says i can turn Off bots. I watched that part like 5 times.
I've just heard of this game on ps+, and am thinking of playing it, it seems, by the comments thos is the best video for help, but as I've not played it, I have NO idea what most of this means.. so, I'll be back 🤣
Check back in once you’ve played the tutorial and a couple marches! It’ll all make a lot more sense. Also the game is just free, you don’t need ps+ or anything
Is it normal, that the first games are only against bots, or is the playerbase just that big, that your only matched with beginners for the first levels?
I would Like to play this game but the skill floor it s so high it s not worth it for me.. I did play for only 7 hrs and i couldnt really have fun cuz it s either bots running around you spamming Attack randomly or a skilled player that Will not let you move and just stunlock you to Death. Im sure it s Great after you spend 5 hours watching guides and another 40 building your muscle memory for movement/weapon Attack and combo 😅
@@ChefOfTheDeadwhenever i see pros or high levels playing this game it is on pc and I tried everything you said and pressed the grapple as early as possible and they are still hitting the ground before my grapple hits and the turning off bots part makes me wait like 10 minutes to find a match
@kingky9600 yeah of course the highest level of players and pros are going to be on pc, that’s just how it is with competitive games. I used to be on console myself and I was able to perform grapple combos just fine, so I’m not sure what to tell you really. You’ll just have to work on the timing because I can assure you that it’s possible. You can queue your inputs to an extent, so do them much earlier than you think

With that said, I do have videos that explain the very most basic fundamentals and game functions, which you can find here:
“The FIRST Naraka Bladepoint Guide You Should Watch”
th-cam.com/video/8ba9rnpK_DQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0nF6odtuXake0lGf
As far as the keyboard or controller thing, I prefer keyboard, but if you’re much more used to controller, that’s fine too
i've been trying to hit the basic longsword, katana and heng sword combos for 3 days now but i keep missing the final focus vertical because the bot just dodges out of the way. I'm trying to release the focus attack at the fastest possible timing but i can't tell if I'm stupid and overholding it or if I screwed up the grapple bump or if im supposed to overhold it and let them dodge then release to wherever they dodge.
If the bot is only barely able to dodge it, I wouldn’t worry about it too much, since a real player is not able to dodge as early as a bot
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, for that combo a FPS of at least 70+ is required.
Moreover try to grapple once your uppercut starts, which means dont wait for the animation to end
question, around 3:30, how the hell did you open your weapon bag and swap the longsword for a fan??????
That’s called an inventory swap, where you hold your primary weapon input (1 on pc), scroll up to the weapon mid uppercut, and release 1. I’ll be making a video explaining how to do them pretty soon!
oh, ty very much@@ChefOfTheDead
I dont have the matchmaking settings ? did they removed it ?
Question: is is feasible to try and punish an attack just by being out of range? Or jumping over it?
Like in normal fighting games? Or do most attack just auto track auto advance and hit you in the air too?
Certain attacks and abilities can be spaced with jumping, but jumps have no I-frames so you can’t use it like a dodge. Spacing can absolutely work for punishing whiffs though
Holy shit this was useful and exactly what I needed to start playing.
what is the point of having horizontal and vertical attacks? if I do a simple 123, for example, is there any real difference between using lmb and rmb to do it? when does it make a difference?
@@ChefOfTheDead I see, thanks for explaining!
I feel so overwhelmed by all this but Ill keep trying, its scary that this is a beginners guide, makes you think what advanced and above is like
Well it’s a guide for beginners, that want to become advanced, so it’s kinda both
Like if you get down everything in this guide, you’ll no longer be a beginner
Hiya, for some reason I don't seem to have the Matchmaking Settings in my Settings menu... so the Replenish Bots option is not even available... anyone knows why that is?
I mentioned that it’s only there if you’re on console or the pc xbox app
@ChefOfTheDead oooh I missed that part, thank you 😊
Hey I'm a bit confused on "holding left or right to cancel the grapple roll" I hold right and my character rolls every time.
I love how this game plays, its very overwhelming tho
So I was missing basic knowledge completely and found ur video difficult to grasp entirely ^^
hello why i cant find the replenish bots when matchmaking times out are they change it already?
Timings for players are slightly different than against bots, since bots function at 0 ping
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, so a good PC would actually benefit in game placement
(an advise from a player that learns from china tiktok)
When i hit the grapple he's already almost on the ground and i can't hit it earlier, did something change?
Nothing changed, no. Make sure your timing looks exactly like mine, it can’t be slower or it won’t work
naraka is also a game that requires high FPS, for that combo a FPS of at least 70+ is required.
Moreover try to grapple once your uppercut starts, which means dont wait for the animation to end
(an advise from a player that learns from china tiktok)
Thank you for this guide it’s very helpful! If i want to attack cancel for movement with the fan, should I use horizontal or vertical? When I try to use horizontal it just keeps doing the wind gust attack after the dodge
Yeah you have to delay that horizontal slightly if you want to avoid the wind blast, but since it’s sort of easy to mess up you can just go with vertical and be safe
@@ChefOfTheDead okay good to know, ty!
idk how i cant get the grapple combo to work with dual blades how does he like float longer for you, the guy drops so fast for me, and i roll out of the grapple
The bot doesn’t float any longer for me, it’s just about timing and input speed for the focus attack to be able to land. I explain in the video how to avoid the roll, you have to hold your movement input to the side. Try firing your grapple earlier and holding vertical attack immediately after.
@@ChefOfTheDead ty for fast response im damn near raging idk how my input could be any faster fr im on keyboard and mouse
@@DjKnightSky23 just watch over the combos and try to match the timing, if your grapple isn’t cutting off the uppercut as early as mine is, you aren’t inputting the grapple early enough. You can queue the input somewhat, so try shooting your grapple what feels like excessively early
hi. 22:30 how to do the staff/spear mvmnt tech plz?
All it is is hold dodge + uppercut, repeat
My FPS drops heavily sometimes I dont know if its because my pc cant bear the Game, I have FPS settings at 75 and shadows and stuffs at low but stills It freezes much, do you know why?
If you have everything set to the very lowest graphical settings besides post processing, you should be good with no big frame drops. However when it comes to hardware, you should really have the game downloaded on ssd instead of hdd
@@ChefOfTheDead what is that, you mean on C disc and D disc stuff?
@@RAVEN-iz2xd yeah sort of, the game runs far better on a solid state drive (SSD) than a hard drive (HDD)
@@ChefOfTheDead thank you, I fixed It
why is auto face scan for players disabled i want to scan my face and i can't anymore
Thanks man
I wish what those random letters meant in the combo section. That part of the video ment nothing to me since I don't know any of that our how to do a launcher
I explicitly show what they mean on screen
This is a good video and good tips.
For some reason i have delay in changing weapons 1 and 2 and that change you do with the bow is not possible for me
You have to animation cancel with a dodge, crouch, or jump, notice how I mentioned the dodge in the video
You helped me a lot. Preciate ya ✅
Guys, tell me the bloody sport mode is an event mode, if not, under what conditions does it open?
Currently not opening at any time. The only way to play it is in a custom match.
I'm so lost. And I just found out that I'm starting LITERALLY around the time Xbox 1 support is being discontinued, so I'm hoping it's easier to learn on a weak PC...
i dont have the turn off the bots just starting the game is that normal ?
I mentioned that if you’re on steam you won’t see it
@@ChefOfTheDead ohh my bad ty
what exactly does "hold dodge" mean ? just press dodge and dont release without direction ? so far you didnt mention that
Hold dodge just means holding it briefly rather than tapping it. You can test it out pretty easily in free training to get a feel for the timing
@@ChefOfTheDead Good to know thanks, also how do you move backwards and forwards in the same dodge frame ? my character simply does not do that XD
Ty in advance
@@dragonofdesteny5767 the “forward” movement after a backwards dodge is simply from the attack. A hold dodge has very little recovery time and lets you immediately flow into an attack, which tracks the opponent in front of you
@@ChefOfTheDead ah that makes sense, ill try that out
i dont seem to find the option to turn off the bots does anyone know more than me. if yes please help
You’re looking at 2:09?
@@ChefOfTheDead that should be the part yes.
Ok so.. are you on console or playing through the xbox app on pc? Or are you instead playing through steam?
What do HD, CV AH mean in the combo part?
Hold dodge, crouch vertical, aerial horizontal. All the abbreviations are laid out at 14:49, and I say what they mean out loud as they come up.
@@ChefOfTheDead my bad I missed that
Is there a button for instantly shooting your ranged weapon without switching from melee? teheee
Without switching from melee, no. You can shoot almost instantly after switching if you animation cancel with a crouch or jump though
Your first few games are bots, that’s how it goes with new accounts
@@ChefOfTheDead thx for the answer.
Do I need teamates to play this? I mean am I gonna be facing premade duos or something?
It plays like any other BR. Coordinated teams will usually do better than random queue teams, but you can always just play solos too.
Pls how do I download it on my pc
Steam?
Ah great, I started playing around 2 weeks ago
Keep it up!
When I play Naraka, it feels like I am playing Grand Chase in 3D, it has similar principles when fighting
Hopefully that’s a good thing!
dodge is shift or c?
Well by default it’s shift on PC
@@ChefOfTheDead ok thankyou
I would Like to play this game but the skill floor it s so high it s not worth it for me.. I did play for only 7 hrs and i couldnt really have fun cuz it s either bots running around you spamming Attack randomly or a skilled player that Will not let you move and just stunlock you to Death. Im sure it s Great after you spend 5 hours watching guides and another 40 building your muscle memory for movement/weapon Attack and combo 😅
How to gets skins ?
Battle pass, spectral silk store, buy with gold, event rewards, etc
can u ahave auto aim on?
I’m not sure what you mean by auto aim, but melee aim assist for sure
There is no way Controller can do grapple hook combos the grapple hook never hits before they hit the ground
Making that statement when there are hundreds of console players doing these combos with total ease is hilarious
You can queue your inputs to an extent, so do them much earlier than you think
it was an honor to have been killed by you in solos :')
me and my friend downloaded this as a joke but were actually enjoying it so much. only annoying this is the fact 80% of players are bots
Definitely do ranked as opposed to quick match and once you rank up a bit you’ll be seeing more like 80% players instead. Glad you’re enjoying!
@@ChefOfTheDead yeee for sure gotta get to level 50 first and its diff to persuade him but we'll get there hahah
What the actual hell am I looking at.
The clips are like watching an Olympic athlete bully highschoolers.
