A player gets tackled and holds the ball like league and then 3 or 4 seconds later the breakdown arrives. Its like they have just added the breakdown on top. I noticed even some league sounds in the game like the buzzer.
One thing i will say is the general visuals look very good and the atmosphere, they get the gameplay right in the coming months and I truly believe it will be a very good rugby game.
Need set plays, also need to be able to select different deffence format (wide / normal / flat ect) Also need to be able to put flyhalf in pocket for drop kicks.
Great insight from you bro, sort of feels like features are locked especially on defence and breakdowns. The stats of the players are clearly all averaged out with forwards with same pace than backs. As @bearsgamer says with your RLL4 knowledge your insight would be great

Add ware n tear where players get injured and affects their stats where you choose to sub or keep eg elbow injury affects fending etc,…rucks and malls more thought put in to the mechanics!!! Few good options off lineouts!!! Hope they read this lol

The thing I like about rugby league live,Madden and Rugby08 is that nearly anyone can play it. Rugby is a complicated game I get it, but making rucks,mauls,scrums etc even more complicated will drive people away. Rugby games in recent times have been terrible in terms of their controls and gameplay . This is exactly the same
@Odd1x People complaining that they focused too much on licensee but this is honestly more than we've ever gotten in a rugby game since 08 so it's definitely a welcomed step in the right direction.
They reused animations from the rugby league games, they didn’t even have the decency to add new animations. We are in the year 2024 video game companies can’t keep getting away with this shit man 😭.

Far out man, these fullas need to put the effort into the gameplay and flow of the game rather than running around getting scans of all these players. I would way rather nice flowing gamplay with semi realistic player movements/animations rather than all these licenses.

There's definitely elements from older League games. Alot more than what I thought

PC Rugby 08 with mods is still the goat. The og Rugby Challenge (and 2 with the right sliders) was prob the closest weve gotten to matching it.
