4 musicians creating something extraordinary. You have Roger's bass laying a solid foundation. A footing for the others to leap into the sky from. Nick's drumming carries the momentum of the music and drives the others to lift their abilities. Richard's organ is all the words you can use to describe heaven. It's that background texture that makes everything that the band do here feel ethereal. And finally, David's guitar work here shows the passion that makes Pink Floyd exactly what they've been known for. The way the guitar sings alongside Richard and then accompanies Roger and lastly matches Nick's subtle intensity with his vocals. Safe to say, i will always come back to this video to experience this ride again.

Anyway, this Pompeii stuff is a wonder of the world. Thanks to you all.
one of my best loved Floyd videos
Evidently :')
The best one to me.
The Wall is good too but is kind of music
I mean other kind of music
yes, absolutely amazing!
Pompei is magic!
when he said "AaaAaaaaaaA", i felt that..
Goosebumps shot straight to me
Straight the fuck up
Me too
One of the greatest, unattended concerts ever. And I mean that sincerely. Probably one of the greatest recordings in misc history. And where they did it made it all the more important. This is deep music for deep people.
Something about this song is you have to listen to the whole version. Not just 4 minutes of it. Its like reading only half a book. And if you read only half a book it doesn't make much sense. If you listen to the whole song it creates such a bigger and more satisfying feel to it. Its what makes Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd.
EXACTO
Actually my favorite album of all time. I was 14 when this came out. All my friends were listening to the pop stuff and they thought I was crazy.
You made and stuck to the right choice

God, I love this song. Piper's at the Gates of Dawn', Obscured by Clouds, Meddle, A Saucerful of Secrets, are all just perfect. Ummagumma is also great. Those albums never get old.
U don't need drugs to enjoy Pink Floyd, u need Pink Floyd to enjoy the drugs.
True

I was in college when I first heard Saucerful on this Pompeii video and I was amazed that you could get so much emotion from a single word
Questo pezzo è di una Potenza devastante.
Epico, mistico, magico
Tutto il disco A saucerful of secrets e' bellissimo. Seppure fossero ancora un po' " grezzi"
videos and music are fascinating . Every time I listen, I cry.

Rick Wright, the most underrated and the best key board player in the world, and the one who now rules the Heaven
Not only can dude play guitar, he's got a voice too! -- beautiful, soulful, before auto-tune.
Darkside Johnny sorry are you idiot? Or it is humor?
@@raydrinkswater alot of musicians today use electronic voice enhancements. Back in floyds day that didnt exist. Not taking anything away from todays musicians, just different eras
This is a song that is not actually capable of being played without a one Mr Richard Wright, R.I.P You shining star of wonder and glory. You legend.
Yes richard is the soul of pink floyd and syd was the mind
Pink Floyd medicine for me .
This is the last part of saucerful of secrets, which is called celestial voices, I remember when I listened to it with my friends, I remember when I was happy.
Lmao, when you were happy?
Such a trippy song indeed
Pink Floyd is another level of music you can enjoy listening is way they're called geniuses
Yeah! It sucks that my best friend hates Pink Floyd “because they just play the same stuff over and over again”.
this Pompei concert is by far the most epic in all of rock history
Rick Wright we miss you.

Oh my God very heart touching song I'm crying right now
I GET A RUSH LISTENING AND WATCHING THIS PERFORMANCE, ITS A SHAME WE GOT TO GET OLD. RICK WRIGHT REST IN PEACE 1943-2008
when pink floyd was pink floyd and not roger and his employees. Masterpiece. Best version.
Carlos Balestretti .... someone had to keep this goin
There were never as good without him!
After the dark side of the moon , waters was kinda the boss of them all
I approve !
If I could super like this comment I would
When David said "ahhh"... Ah felt that
4 musicians creating something extraordinary.
I love the ultra-laid back drumming of Mason in this one.
