There is a cycle or love and death that shapes the lives of those who chose to travel in the company of Animals. It is a cycle unlike any other. To those who have never lived through its turnings or walked its rocky path, our willingness to give our Hearts with full knowledge that they will be broken seems incomprehensible. Only we know how small a price we pay for what we receive, Our grief no matter how powerful it may be is an insufficient measure of the Joy we have been given. I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so hard losing a dog that has been part of your life. Just remember all the fun and joy. The shop is looking great.A bench that you can mount your saw and planer to will make a huge improvement. Also remember to keep hydrated in the heat. And be fire smart .

Sorry to hear about Nootka. She was the 5th dog that I follow on TH-cam in less than a year. One person lost his black lab, got a puppy and then the pup got sick and passed at just 5 months old. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Hello from Polish. We also have a lot of heat, almost 34 degrees Celsius. Every day we are hit by torrential storms causing great destruction and flooding. Warning alerts come in daily. Yesterday 12.07.24 at 18.00 a storm started and it rained until today until 11.00. My village turned into a big lake. The fire brigade is still pumping water out of flooded yards and basements. I like you in your videos, but you get the biggest pluses from me for your love for your pets and for taking care of the surroundings of your home and the house itself. Lots of health for you and your pets🥰🥰

Hi Katie and Greg, great to see you again! As usual Katie, I enjoyed the opening random shots of the animals, particularly little Steven! Great editing and music selection, very pleasant to watch. Like you, we too have had a heat wave here in the Central Valley, Ca. We've been running from 107° f - 112° f for over 2 weeks now and it's getting very old. Have to just keep moving slowly, stay hydrated and minimize the time in the sun. I loved watching you jumping and hopping out in the grass teaching Steven to do the same and really enjoyed seeing him in Gregs lap on the tractor. That little guy is lucky to have so much love and attention. The new barn/shop area looks so good - what a transition from a mere few weeks ago. You guys have done a terrific job and should take great pride in what you've accomplished in a short period of time. I'm sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with the water. I had hopes the new pump would resolve the issue and it seems now there may be bigger issues than origionally thought. I'm confident Greg will get it figured out and resolved. Katie and Greg - it was heartbreaking to hear about the loss of the big black dog that was such a special part of your lives. The music and pics were a touching tribute to her. It never gets any easier. My last experience was a while ago now and there isn't a day that I don't miss her, she was literally the best dog I have ever had, and there have been a few. The thing is the sorrow disapates in time and you can draw on the memories and enjoy and appreciate them for who they were and what they meant to you and it really is a beautiful thing. Hello, We said good bye to our sweet Hazel a year ago. A few weeks ago we got a new dog, Betty, from the local shelter. She's about 1 year old. Our homestead feels complete again. Dogs are the best!
