Thought of you right away when I heard the synth-y sounding bass. What a cool coincidence though - this was shared on fb by a friend of mine, I watched it and just thought to check the first couple of comments and there you are:D

I ate at a little Korean joint that was right next to the Blue Whale, and had no idea at the time that it was the type of venue that Mark Guiliana had played. There was nobody in there at the time, but I remember the blue lights. The place is tucked into a corner of a balcony of a little shopping center.
Such an awesome show This camera guy is one heck of a Guineas 🤓 Always one step ahead of time facing the camera at the right guy at the right moment.. 👽Or just some how helps creating those unpredictable moments 🤭
Adam Neely coaxed me here! Incredible performance, but I'm calling it.......after Adam highlighted the date, TDAT (The Day After Trump), makes sense to place some loose stands and cymbals around and just see what decay and chaos you can create alongside the musical performance. Either way, who cares, really enjoyed it as a whole! :)
It may seem hard, but you can tell the drummer is legit. Him trying to change the cymbals was intentional-the cymbals falling was not. That keyboard thing happened to me once before while performing live. I instantly felt like crawling in a hole and dying.i dont trust 2-tier stands anymore
Deantoni parks called, he wants his style back... nah this is sick but def check out deantoni I would say he's the true pioneer of this kind of playing
This is like science experiment with surprising side effects. Binding something fundamentally chaotic in to a form starts to unravel the surroundings. Music not only moves, it can remove! Dig?
this is goddamn awesome

ridiculous
Adam we came from the future
Is this sungazer? (Btw I love both this and sungazer)
Not as awesome as "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" in four keys at the same time
great, now 600,000+ people know about this lol thanks Adam
which is awesome =)
Pro tip: Make sure the falling cymbal and the falling synth are in the SAME KEY.
Don't forget about the falling cymbal stand. It adds a nice texture.
made my day :D
Xd
I like how the keyboard only breaks when the cameraman pans over to it
*You Can't Tell Me This Isn't Performance Art*
They're all so technically skilled, I almost feel its intentionally falling apart to mimic the feel of the piece.
Absolutely.
Drummer punches the drum at 07:26 like it's all meant to be an intentional trainwreck from the start.
At 04:10 the maker of the film switches to filming the keyboards, which just happen to collapse at that very moment. Yes it is staged.

this video has had more influence on my drumming than 3/4 of the records I've listened to
Sounds like the carpenters next door building a house.
Frank Booth “Drum Tricks”???...... o.k... 🤦♂️
In a good way tho
This would be the final boss in a video game.
2017, the year everything falls apart.
Music keeps going tho...
so true
hello I come from the future to tell you it doesn't get better in 2020
This comment didn't age super well haha
such a great show…I was standing in the back…thanks for sharing.
If my band did that we would not finish the set. WOW. The show must go on!!!! love it..
His hi-hat work is so god damn tight. It sounds like a drum machine on a trap song.
i was thinking that too
The hardest part of emulating trap hats with a real kit is making it sound exactly like an 808. Besides that you just need a clean double stroke roll.
This is the most fallen apart yet put together piece I have ever seen. Bravo!
Dudes obviously have some mad skills. So what the actual hell is going on? it's like chaotic evil took precedence on the stage.
Off topic, but "Diet Guitar" is one of the best names I've seen on TH-cam.
EclipsedArchon ha! thank you
@@thebreakfastmenu well now it’s equally memey but slightly more chaotic
Creative Chaos.
Love the way Mark gets into the raw sound of this little kick drum ;).
i feel like this is on purpose to add more chaos to the music

@@Avatar7x7 I don't disagree with you but you type like a fucking boomer and it makes me irrationally angry.
I love the weird drum groove
every thing falling appart omg, sounds amazing still!!!
I must say this is simply great and beautiful music
haven't seen that kind of hardcore Jazz for a while. Thanks a lot! =)
Spectacular. Breathtaking.
This is wonderful
it's look like " end of the world" party!!! awesome
still love it!!
Adam Neely asked me to come here. This is so chopsuey!
Same here, man!
This sounds nothing like SOAD
Mark is brilliant I friggen love him!!!
now that's what's called being in the moment
i bet everything here was meant to happen. goddamn amazing show
OMG i loved it!
1:44, 3:13, 4:16 how much shit can possibly go wrong
Made on purpose ? Maybe ? If not thats very funny
Yeah, jazz musicians normally throw instruments on the floor..
Amazing, great.........
amazing

Trash metal elements at 1:46; 3:12 & 4:16.
The greatest drummer of our time
can I have a whole album of this? it's seriously incredible
thx Adam s2
mark is amazing. i just wish i could hear his talent more with straight ahead gigs. he's such a brilliant mind.
The chaotic frequencies compromised the structural integrity of everything around! I'm still thinking this was performance art.
dayum I thought the three in the back were bots at first. this is the most insane video i've seen. i want to jump in there.
DOPE!!!
Such an awesome show
This camera guy is one heck of a Guineas 🤓
Always one step ahead of time
facing the camera at the right guy
at the right moment..
👽Or just some how helps
creating those unpredictable moments 🤭
That bassist is massive holy shit that p bass looks like a toy lmao killer tone too
a beauty
why tf is everything falling?
My camera was like sniper fire that night--caught every random crash and fall!
Hah yeah it seems staged
Part of the arrangement.
I initially clicked cause I read “w\Jeff Beck”.
I’m glad I did.
@ 4:16 - The Lost Chord..so hip it made that keyboard collapse.
Can I get tabs?
“In a musical trainwreck, nobody gets hurt.”
The chaotic energy of this event spawned 100 gecs
I like
anyone know what album this tune is from?
My fav part gotta be Kaveh Rastegas face at 4:21, just taking in the chaos as it comes
Does this tune have a name?... Or genre... What is this??? It's beyond words.
It’s just experimental in my eyes. I think it sounds great.
little dude in the back is mapping it all.
Was this on purpose?
Pedozzi improvising when the set literally falls apart. this is magnificent
Part of the arrangement, yes.
Sick drum fill at 5:06

the stuff after 5:00 kinda reminded me of "Ecdysis" from Flume
What genre would this be called? It’s really cool.
modern jazz/experimental electronic?
ody vinty* Thanks, I’ll definitely look more into it.
Check out anteloper which is basically a band but it all sounds roughly like this.
@@apothecurio Cool, I’ll have to check them out!
Came here for 3:13 and 4:16
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON
this is so insane its actually brilliant
This is wild, nothing more to say about that
The Duppy Gig.
It's like the night itself was high.
This is my brain at 3am.
best song ever
This is funny af
wtf is going on hahaha love this
STREPITOSO
Just waiting for McRide to show up
lot of unreal stuff happened in this
A nagmificent fustercluck!!!
Was this done on purpose? Im talking about the instruments falling apart lol
The arrhythmic beginning sounds like speech converted to MIDI.
gig of destruction... XD
Holy crap thTs great. Talk about transcending your instrument.
Time to go practice...
mind your own...
The gig of doom.
This is Spinal Tap.
When you tell the band it's just a blues and they run with it...
It may seem hard, but you can tell the drummer is legit. Him trying to change the cymbals was intentional-the cymbals falling was not. That keyboard thing happened to me once before while performing live. I instantly felt like crawling in a hole and dying.i dont trust 2-tier stands anymore
Don't do drugs. ;-)
WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE THEY PLAYING??? Sounds like a busy day at Discount Tire!!
Mom : you like this ?
Me : yes
Mom : no

Beautifully said
"St anger bass drum"
Even if everything technically had gone as planned... would it honestly have sounded any better?
Intense music. That splash cymbal being beaten to pieces @ 1:44-47...
What's going on hahahaha
found this because of adam neely, i love tis beautiful trainwreck, this is so fucking cool.
Sounds like he is just sound checking his drums for a while...
I hear metal machine music
😂😂😂😂😂😂ha ha ha!!!
Come for the music. Stay for the falls
Wow, I couldn't tell from this video if Mark actually knows how to play drums, but just saw him in another video and he is totally legit.
This is like if you somehow put a cursed image into video form
I think I am starting to believe in ghosts .... evil ghosts ..... maybe troll ghosts.
I love how the bass is working just fine but just plays gibberish. Fucking awesome performance overall
