Nightwish is such a special band, they mean so much to people all around the world. I´m so excited for the next album. I can´t even imagine what they have planned :D When the time is right to get back touring, it will be total magic as it always is. I seen them 5 times on the Human Nature tour and each time, it was impossible not to feel the joy shared by them all on stage. The spirit of Nightwish is strong, it will live on and I will be there in future when the time comes. But first, Kitee in June :D
Nightwish have been touring pretty much constantly for the last year with just a few short breaks every so often. I think they've earned a rest and some time to be with their families. And remember it's not just the band - there's the whole crew to think about too. I'm sure they'll be back. And if in the meantime it gives Floor the chance to do some more solo tours (especially to the UK!) and maybe even release some more music herself, then great!
I'm bummed about Nightwish not touring to support the new album, but I do understand they've been touring non-stop since they were allowed to play again. I get it.

That's too much water under the bridge, and inevitably it must have brought some tensions and exhaustion within the band. All things considered, the decision to make a pause seems quite apparent. Hopefully, this will be for the best. But it seems that Floor (as well as the rest of the band) didn't have much saying in that decision...
For me, the best thing about NIGHTWISH is..my discovery of FLOOR.💫 I love NIGHTWISH, but.. life goes on. Who knows what will Eventually happen in the future.
Well I think that little bundle of joy in her belly supersedes even our beloved Nightwish so patients is a virtue! It just makes the animosity that much sweeter!🌹
They're just taking a break after very hectic Covid19 years and a delayed Human Nature tour.. 2024 I'm sure they'll be back with concerts.. It also gives Floor time to spend time with her new baby etc.. It all makes sense..
I doubt they would announce this if they were just going to be back next year. Also, did they not say that they would not do a tour for the next album, which will probably be released near the end of this year or at the beginning of the next? Maybe I am misunderstanding.
Theyll be back on the road by mid 2025 .....there just finishing a tour for a album thats 3 yrs old because of the pandemic.......now they have to jump in a studio record the new album , release it and normally you would tour it but just coming off a tour thats impossible to do .....theyll take a year off , get bored with sitting at home and start the tour for the new record
honestly it wouldn't surprise me if Tuomas was already working on new stuff. They'll surely continue creating and once they are ready they'll have lots of new material to share on the next tour!
This exactly. We also must keep in mind that 2026 will be their 30th anniversary. They might as well secretly be making plans for something REALLY big to come in terms of live concerts.

I can only wish that its a planned break, only to rest a bit, and find some new inspirations for Tuomas. This mans mind HAS TO reset some day so we can get another level of his awesome imagination. I think he may be burned out seriously especially after hard 2 years of covid, and then the speedy H |:| N Tour. I hope they will survive as a band, as a team becoz there is no band in this world similar to them. They are AWESOME !! And they need to be with us as long as they can. After listening to them for about 19 years I finally seen them live last december 2022 and I WISH TO do this again n again as long as they're around. I think Tuomas hasn't run out of ideas yet. I predict we'll see a new Auri album soon and hopefully a tour from the too. An Auri concert would be a much lower key event than a Nightwish one and maybe less stressful for Tuomas, Troy and Johanna. Nightwish will be back though.

Yes this July. This summer camp undoubtedly will be different (faster) as the songs to be recorded have already been known to the band for months and run throughs happened during the tour.

I think they got on each other's nerves a bit. Not all together, but I think at least two. Because the way Floor speaks, it wasn't planned. Either that or there are problems with management. Maybe the same reasons that Marko gave in relation to the music industry and that there wasn't enough money for the band in the end.

Floor wasn’t too impressed with the Nightwish management this year, apparently they don’t read their emails, she had commitments in the Netherlands which led to a rushed flight to Japan for the far east tour. But from the sound of this, she isn’t entirely on board with the touring break Nightwish have planned.

No, that is too easy. As a grown up you can be disappointed about a decision but considering all aspects come to agreement with it. Wishing it would have turned out differently.
I have (and had) a feeling that Nightwish, at least with Floor, was done. She's getting much more popular and known as a solo artist, and when Marco left, I got the feeling that it might be due more to his relationship with Floor than burnout. Notice Marco didn't stop performing, he's been doing a lot. Marco was a huge part of the band especially live, and basically NW is now a backing band for Floor. In concert she's the focal point of everything. The bass singer doesn't sing and Tuomas and the rest of the band is in the background. I could see them asking Tarja if she wants to come back, but I don't see that happening either. She left when she felt she was too big for the band as well. Touring and live performance is what keeps bands alive these days, since record sales are tiny compared to in the past, and they usually make a small percentage of what is sold.
i think they are coming back.but when they are back they may not have the same linup. if nightwish are breaking up i would be sad that i only got to se them live one time😢😢😢
