NOT an F50! - adidas F50 vs Speedflow Review

- I have the NEW 2024 adidas F50 in hand a few days before release. So, I thought I would do a comparison review to one of the greatest modern adidas speedboots, the X Speedflow.
This isn't just a random boot vs boot comparison, this is intentional as this new 2024 adidas F50 seems to be more X than classic F50, and not just any X, there is certainly more than a hint of X speedflow about it. Not only that, but there are certainly areas of improvement from the speedflow as well, the upper texture certainly stands out to me as the biggest plus point.
So, if you're considering the new 2024 F50 from adidas, and let's be honest, who isn't, then check this out to see how it stands up next to one of the best adidas speedboots, maybe ever, in the speedflow.

There will be small silicone dots on the toebox, the F50 logo and 3 stripes embossed on the upper at the official version ! Not help much with touching the ball, but they makes the upper more structure
They are nice on feet, not soft as the Speedflow, but still barefoot feel with more responsiveness 🎉
And I also agree with u, they’re more X than F50 back in the days

The outsole is super interesting cuz the longer studs spook me for turf but the flexibility and free feel is exciting so it’s like what were they going for

There's still a few pairs around from resellers, definitely worth looking at Instagram sellers. I have 2 pairs. The pair in the video I got at a good price just because they had a Scottish flag on them
Hmmm, if you are to pick between the speedflow.1 ag and the furon v7+ ag, which one would you pick?
Tough choice. FG the speedflow would take it, but AG, either one would be fantastic

I'm hoping for a (decent) AG version, today many matches are played on AG pitches, I need a good sole (in all the .2 or .3 versions of F50).
There will be an AG. Not sure what it will be like on the .2 or .3 versions but youll get an AG option for sure
id love to see a combarison of the laceless f50 vs laceless speedflow they look so similar but are they as good
I don't actually own the laceless speedflow anymore so unfortunately I probably won't be able to do that comparison unless I happen to pick up another laceless speedflow.
I've heard a lot of people saying they want an actual tongue instead of a one piece upper. Do you think it really makes a big difference?
Yeah I think the adjustability and the overall fit and feel of the boot can be very different with a one piece and a floating tongue. As you can see in the video, this is kind of neither of those options.
Bringing back the F50 line does not necessarily mean that the new model must be made identical to the old F50s, I think it is wise of Adidas to have taken the best silo of the Xs - the X Speedflows's details and put it in the new models. It shows that they do recognise that people loved the Speedflows, and more importantly, it shows that they have learned from the past.
Yeah as I said in the video, I don't think it's a bad thing that they've leant on the X line to create the boot and then used some F50 elements and a little F50 DNA.
@@BootWizard I would still be so happy even if they called it the Speedflow 2. Since how good the fit and feel the Speedflow was, now we got the new tongue which may make it fit even better, but the upper seems not so soft as the Speedflow was.
@@HungPham-ms6st I think it's too far away from the speedflow to be a speedflow 2, the lack of carbitex and the toe tilt being taken away just to name 2 things that you would need. It could definitely be an X, but I think it wouldn't pass as a Speedflow successor in name.
The F50 looks alot more narrower in the midfoot / lower midfoot🥲 hopefully they aren't, as one of the benefits of the speedflow/crazyfast was that it was a speed boot which weren't exclusively for narrow feet.
Bare in mind that the F50 I'm showing you here is a full size smaller than the Speedflow and only a size US6.5

On its way, a lot of other releases to cover at the same time, it was going to be last week but the F50 launch pushed it back. I'll aim to have it out 2 weeks on Friday provided there's no other big drops to cover and depending on when my carbon puma ultras arrive.

@@thirteen8621 haha, well I have to very very strongly disagree with you there. Speedflow for me might be my favourite ever Adidas speed boot. Crazyfast+ is still very good for me, obviously I said so in my crazyfast review, but I think the speedflow is clear. Everyone likes different things though.
