As a Skyblivion dev i'm not worried about our project being affected or removed, Bethesda really isn't a company that has done anything like this, unlike other studios. On top of that regarding the Remake rumor itself i've been told by someone else on the team who's deep in the Bethesda modding scene and who's opinion i greatly trust that the Official Oblivion Remake is "most assuredly NOT a real thing".
@@Keyecomposer Thank you for this, it's fun to speculate on these things and I certainly hope Bethesda doesn't do anything to your project. I trust your sources much more than the "reliable sources" the remake rumors are based on. I look forward to your mod coming out and thank you for the effort you all have been putting into it
Yeah, idk where are all of these unfounded "Bethesda is gonna nuke Skyblivion" is coming from either, I find it bizarre considering other large mod projects have never been touched, I can't think of once instance where an asset in Morrowind was directly used in Morroblivion? and due to the conflict they had to change it, it was Dwemer armor I think? which is why Skyblivion has to change everything asset wise for legal reasons, but using Skyrim models is fine as that is the mods base.
One thing i noticed about the faces in oblivion and those in skyrim/skyblivion is that oblivions faces are so much more emotional. Theyre ugly, definitely, but they do show emotions a lot better and it also works with the persuasion game. After seeing that i was a bit more appreciative of Oblivion's faces.
@@urai9438 yeah, it would be fun if the perks for different skills were things you could select and not necessarily have to earn. There are some really cool perks in Oblivion that you might never know exist because you have to actively pursue a skill to get them
I've been saying it for a few years. Bethesda will take notice of all the people who are excited for the mod remake of Oblivion, Skyblivion, and Bethesda will see the financial opportunity for a remake because of it. They will make their own remake and send a seize and desist order to the skyblivion modders, forcing them to remove their LONG awaited mod from the internet. Or as I like to call it, pulling a Nintendo. Looks like the ass holes are even going to try to rush out their own remake at the same time lol. If they successfully release Skyblivion be sure to download it ASAP cuz I do worry it may disappear.
@@deviant_ghost Yeah, I honestly think it would have been a win for Bethesda to buy Skyblivion and just make that the remake. Even though there are probably a billion businessy and legalese reasons not to
@@FalloutUrMum Skyblivion wouldn't wanna be bought by bethesda. Especially regarding their blunder with starfield, the soulless, emotionless game it is. On top of their recent monetization practices (Scummy, especially Fallout 76 & creation club.) I feel like it'd be a dumb decision. Especially since emil loves to really emphasize the two S's in K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple, Stupid)
The remake is made by a completely different studio. Its just technical work. I am glad they are making the remake on another engine, their creation engine is becoming seriously outdated. This remake is a pilot to make future games on UE engine. THey have to start somewhere. So from my point of view it is a good step forward. They are trying to make changes. Just remeber how everyone complained about Starfield- loading on every step, no innovation, nothing that new. They first need a new technology to make a truly new game. The Oblivion remake is just a first step to move to a new technology and it should not interfere with ES6 development.

Yeah I think leveling would be cool if it was like fallout 4, but then I want a base stat thing to stay (health Stam magic) plus a perk.

stop-create new things.
Im not excited for it at all. Waste of resources. They should send all of that money and manpower at ES6
Theyre clearly reaching for money to Keep développing ES6. Starfield was a flop and surely cost a lot of money.
@extremeanalogmusic6296 here comes skyrim special edition 30

@@GES1985 I'm concered that ES6 has an excessive scale tbh. Too big for itself, like Starfield
