Clear, concise, and dynamic video of one of my favorite Journey songs. Can’t believe how much easier it is to form the F chord using the capo. Thank you, Lauren!
This doesn't happen very often for me with guitar song tutorials, but I got chills during your chorus demo. Just like the real thing! Thank you, Lauren, for yet another add to my playlist.
Said it before, and I say it again: really great and fun stuff your tutorials! Loved the pickdropping part! Makes me feel less alone in that department...
My God Lauren, It´s very difficult to change from C to F Chord On 7:46 of this video....lol.... but I´m trying to practice very slowly., the pick "screcth" on the strings sometimes.... But I´m facing it like a challenge ! Thanks for the lesson and I´ll let you know when I achieve this !
Hi, I started to learn guitar 2weeks ago and I followed your tutorials. It's really amazing. For this song, I don't have capo available at the moment. Can I still use same chords and strumming technique. Thank you
Ohh mann..that was Awesome I always wondered how that song might be played,I thought you might play individually the notes, but rhythm wise just to have a good campfire song, before my girlfriend attacks me,I can play this for my friends around the campfire before I retire for the night..Awesome Bateman!!!!🥰🥰
Hi Lauren, I’ve just started learning guitar and I’m using a small wooden chair to sit on which feels to low down for me. Would getting a musicians stool help with my cord learning and strumming?
Not a problem. Barre chords isn't something I usually teach until someone has been playing the guitar for about 9-12 months. I consider barre chords and intermediate skill. They will come with time and I teach them in a very specific way.
@lizzieevans297 You can make a capo. Use something like a pencil to barre the strings, and a couple of sturdy rubber bands to hold it down. Good luck!!

Great instructional video!! I only wish you played the whole song through so I could hear the pieces all together and so I could play along.
Yes, I get hit with copyright when I do that. So had to stop. But I may bring back my play along lessons.
Great job!! I have to ask for a request please! Anymore-Travis Tritt with the picking parts. I'll love you forever
Very cool. I will add it to my list of songs.
@@LaurenBateman Thank you very much. I have alot of it I think except the order of picking parts
Nicely brought forth into a realm that even I can comprehend.

Third finger is a pivot point for C and F. Or just play the Fmaj7 to get it going until your Barre cord becomes better.
Such a fantastic lesson and great tune! 👍🎸😎
Thanks!!!!

It would probably be a lot more comfortable for sure.
