Finally, after over three years, another good funny episode featuring new dirty tricks! Axes and Aerobics, I love it. Well done! I had almost given up hope. PS: I miss Tim's incredible public safety announcements and the merciless craziness from the early episodes. Revive all the great characters you created back then. The Kia-car advert, then, I think it was your first Netflix ad, where Josh wants to drive to the video shop and Ryan steals his car-distributer, Ryan's Hulk Hogan like character and your very first dimension zap clip with Josh, Emily and Tim, Ryans Bat-man, Ryan on a rampage with little Emily instead of writing his scrips and Emily's scary over the top obsession with weapons are all brilliant and unforgettable, … or to use your language: "terrible and beautiful moments of film history" and one can't get better than this in the movies. Even after all those years I am still haunted by those of your videos in my nightmares in a good way. Emily or Stark just staring and saying nothing freaks me out every time. However, It seems you improved your technical skills at the cost of your scriptwriting and storytelling. Trump says: Sad! But I think this Justin has potential once he's found his footing. Let him rage. And remember the advice, my fellow countryman Billy Wilder gave you about the three most important things you need for a good film. PPS: Is Kessler still after you for burning all his money on that fun fair bouncy castles? If so, you deserve it! … but we still want you to somehow escape. ;->
1.Making ur room look longer (by moving ur actor to the edge). 2.Faking 180° rule (by not moving the set, lighting and camera, move the actors) 3. Reverse clip in post. (Sometimes its dangerous to hit something which is not safe. Best way to overcome that is to reverse the action in shoot and reverse back it in post) 4. Fake sweat. 5.whip pan (fast movement transition)
Before I even start a new project for my channel I just rewatch the videos you guys post! if it wasn't for you guys I would still. be shooting all my shots in wides and using auto focus for every shot. Much love film riot!
I'm in the middle of shooting on my second live-action short film right now and I just wanted to let you guys know how much you've taught me over the years. Keep at it, you're an insanely talented bunch.
We teach filmmaking to children and this is awesome! We're really looking forward to implementing these techniques to a degree when working with our students. Thanks for sharing the knowledge & we've definitely subscribed!
Wow. All of those are actually really good to keep in mind. While I kind of knew all of them, I absolutely underestimated how practical and helpful they might be... Thanks for this!

Echo Productions I know, I'm really into filmmaking too. I haven't done much yet, but filmmaking just excites me. Possibly because it gets both my technical side and my creative side.
Hey guys, great episode, this one along with a few others, "Dolly vs Zoom" and "Basic Lighting" for example are the type of instruction I really appreciate as an amateur filmmaker... Thanks much, Moses...
One question, how do you approach the end of the preproduction till the begging of the actual day of production. Do you have meetings with the cast and crew for organization and planning or what is your process? Thanks!
I can't believe I've been watching you guys for 7 yrs, and I'm finally shooting real tv shows, and documentaries now. thanks guys.

Love that reverse trick. Definitely getting some use out of this on my channel.
That reverse shot really helps me in my project. I'm lucky that I watch this video before shooting. Thanks a lot
As a professional video editor, reversing a shot, or even flopping it, is a technique I use a lot. These are fantastic tips!
1.Making ur room look longer (by moving ur actor to the edge).
2.Faking 180° rule (by not moving the set, lighting and camera, move the actors)
3. Reverse clip in post. (Sometimes its dangerous to hit something which is not safe. Best way to overcome that is to reverse the action in shoot and reverse back it in post)
4. Fake sweat.
5.whip pan (fast movement transition)
Justin Robinson workout montage was amazing. Laughing out loud alone in my office. Thank you for that
The color grading in the VHS bit is incredible, it looks like it was actually shot on 35mm. It'd be awesome to see a video on that
Before I even start a new project for my channel I just rewatch the videos you guys post! if it wasn't for you guys I would still. be shooting all my shots in wides and using auto focus for every shot. Much love film riot!
