No cap, it was really difficult to make this video because I was trying to group properties together and it just didn't flow very well. Regardless, I'll add some more info here because it's easier: 1. Longevity is going to be the same for all switches, and they're not prone to damage over time. 2. There's no real need to spend more than $1/switch when they will sound fairly the same once you hit the 0.50/piece mark. 3. Every switch has their own features so it's really up to you if you think a feature is worth the price - this is just an opinionated video based on personal experience and basic switch knowledge. 4. Lube your switches and springs and everything will sound good!
A lot of stock switches like tangerine have stock lube on it. Tangerine has a light oil all over the stem that wears off quick but still leaves oily mess all over it. Similar to these alpacas. On the other hand the novelkeys cream came unlubed without the annoying oil all over it. That's why I never judge the stock oiled switches with the unlubed switches. Doesn't make sense to do so.
I’m relieved to hear that you also sometimes feel like linear switches could sound similar - I still think creams sound very different from gat yellows, but gat yellows can sound similar to other switches. Your comments on tangerine made me wanna try them out. Also super agreed with how stock creams feel scratchy. I was super scared but after lubing filming breaking it started to feel awesome. But honestly I would love switches great in stock even though I’m still gonna lube but hopefully I don’t have to film because it’s just pain in the ass....
Bhai itne paise mai, Custom built Mechanical keyboard ayega with lubed switches, Aluminium chassis, Key stabilisers etc etc. aur paisa bachega usme ake Logitech pro x Superlight mouse aayega.
I know that it's nitpicking not really a criticism, (good video IMO) but I'm peeved by how you pronounce UHMWPE. There's no concensus how to pronounce it but i think the better one I've heard is Uhm-Wipe
I don't agree with your statement that lubed and broken in switches will have the same sound, since youre using unmodded (accoustic wise) gmmk pro, that board is so muted that almost no matter what switch you put on it it'll sound the same, after you use PE foam mod on that board you'll start to hear the sound characteristic of individual switch
I'd much rather they continue to pay attention to the smoothness and sound aspect of the materials because the durability is just fine in my opinion. They'd probably sacrifice in one aspect or another trying to make it more durable by going with a more elastic or denser material. Might need to pull up more and clamp less. Only time I've had an issue was when the plate was too tight and I've had over 40 different sets of switches over time.
@@rks5457 On my Redragon K530 the right shift switch was actually glued to the board. They put a clear glue on chips on the bottom of the PCB and some glue leaked up the switch hole and it glued the switch in. Bad quality control on Redragon's end.

$1 per switch is no need? say this to the r/mechanicalkeyboards community you will get murdered :D
@@sensuku Oh I know LOOL never said no need, just not "necessary" for a good time
Way too many switches on the market. But the best bang for your buck IMO is the Akko CS switches.
I second this
I third this
too*
I have a Akko keyboard coming soon, so I'll see if you're right about that.
@JayzBeerz, have you tried Akko Ocean Blues??? I am really interested on them.
@@CMChaino using them now and they are great. comparable to the panda switch IMO.

Stock is always better haha, unless we're talking about the tangerines 😂 creams are the only exception for sound, so good!
first video and I love it keep up the good work

Haha I just pronounced it that way to get as many of the letters as possible. Besides, another name for it is HMPE, so it just made more sense to me.

These switch housings need to be more sturdy. I seen to many break or bend when you try and pull them.

Break-in time: You need to use the switch for a certain period of time before it works really smoothly
