This games' Champion's Road was the one that took me the longest out of all Mario games. Normally, I get to the level, and I either beat it that same day or the next one. This one kept me occupied for almost 2 weeks, with at least an hour each day dedicated to it alone. After I beat it, I did it again for each character - and was done 2 days later... once this level is conquered, it's not as imposing anymore and you get much more confident in your approaches, instead of trying to preserve resources for whatever may be next. Great work getting it done right there, SmallAnt!
@@KazeMemaryu it's was really hard for me probably because I was just a little kid. I did champions road a couple months ago and the perfect run was harder for me
Champion's Road lives rent free in my brain. My friends and I played through this game together when it first came out. It was chaos. There was a LOT of shouting, laughing, swearing, and betrayal as the four of us clawed our way through the game. I think I was Peach. Then we beat the main game and they teased post-game. The moment they unlocked my girl Rosalina, I locked her in immediately. But Champ's Road was a gauntlet. Each of us struggled on something, but excelled in something else. One of us was really good at rhythm blocks, and I was pretty good at the first couple bits. I think our Luigi player was really good at the vertical section and water section. So - for once in the entire game - we communicated. We'd all bubble except one or two of us, and let them take care of a section, then swap out. It still took forever as we worked out a strategy, but it was really fun. I have fond memories of this game. Definitely one of my favorites, if only for the multiplayer experience.
