- Hi again. This time, our opponent will be Kaern. I decided to try the Sentinel class, but this time using the great hammer. The boss itself is quite interesting, but using the hammer was even more fun to fight. The Sentinel class allowed me to use the Bulwark's Shield and Crystal Greathammer
Items used:
Drake Knight Helm +5
Ascended's Cape +5
Drake Knight's Boots +5
Onslaught Aura
Crystal Greathammer +5
Bulwark's Shield
Augment Plume x10 (150% increase damage)
Stats: Level 100 Sentinel
VIT 56(+27)
STR 15(+45) (For equipping the Bulwark's Shield and Crystal Greathammer)
END 15
HST 30

Man they totally changed everything in afterlife. Good work. Im wondering what is in your opinion the best and more easier build for these heroic battles? With soldier always being the second class of course. I subbed too btw!
was Kaern buffed in afterlife? I thought I was overleveled when I decided to battle him(mainly cuz I couldn't find him) and damn does he tank now, heroic is even more more of a pain in the ass, I don't remember OG heroic kaern being this much of a damage sponge
In my opinion, yes. He has 33k health on Heroic Difficulty.

Heroic Kaern is not much buffed compared to other DLC bosses.
I miss his final phase which is basically free hits.
Those horrid ice bombs traumatize me in afterlife, forgotten gaian is aggrivating in heroic

errm, i kinda hate this Kaern boss, just as much as those Karens, especialy when he do the "multi b*tch slaps" move 0:34
That slap could be his major weakness. It's an opening for parry-counter and It's not hard to be parried.
