when i saw this movie when i was a kid,for some STRANGE reason i thought there were going to be an RPG game that allows the players to create their own avatar character and interact with the characters and be apart of the story itself like Jake did

Even though I think Avatar may be one of the most overrated movies of all time, Disney has REALLY outdone themselves with this park. The scenery is incredible and truly looks like you're on Pandora.

There's something about the slight incline of the last part of the queue that really sells the illusion. I don't think people talk about that detail enough

Looking at this reminds me of two other attractions,both now closed...the first was Triceratops Encounter at Universal. On your way to the backstage paddock where the triceratops is kept,you pass stations very similar to these,and it always amazed me how much detail went to creating them.
The other...and this may sound like an odd comparison at first...was Disney's Body Wars.The ride itself was great but the queue area was BEYOND boring. There was literally nothing to look at but blue-lit walls,and that made the long wait in line even more unbearable. Considering that the backstory for that ride was that of a medical miniaturization company,you'd think the Imagineers would've come up with all sorts of fascinating displays for the queue...but they didn't. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that was a factor in the ride,and that whole pavilion being shut down.
The queue had nothing to do with its closure. Loss of sponsorship and ridiculously low rider count caused its closure. Body Wars was basically a walk on when it closed. Also, the queue wasn't completely devoid of themeing, there were the dermatological cleansing stations and TV monitors. Not great, but not completely bare either.

Just waited 4 hours to ride this ride. We met some very nice people in line that almost feel like family we together so long. The ride is 4.5 minutes after a 4 hour wait. Trust me, not worth spending 4 hours of your life. Constantly, thinking of how that time could have been better spent. It was cool but NOT WORTH A 4 HOUR WAIT
