  • #ad In this video, we talk about the 3 stages of LIFE IN CANADA in the first 1 year
    1. First 100 days - just landed, getting a job, moving into a basement, bank accounts and govt docuementations
    2. Next 3-6 months - getting a car, long term accomodation, building credit score
    3. Next 6-12 months - making friends, planning for a house, side hustle
We will also like to Thank @BMOCanada for sponsoring today’s video #GetMoreWithBMO

We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and moved to Canada 3 days before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent and unauthorized immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of NOTHING; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. After months of research and our own experience of applying for a Canadian PR, we came up with an e-book series & this TH-cam channel which would include - errors to avoid, perfect sample documents (my own) and alternate ways of immigrating to Canada - 100 pages of absolute goldmine between these 3 e-books - no filters, no premium versions to these ebooks... everything is out there FOR FREE, for you to read and execute the process yourself! All we are doing in these ebooks is sharing our experience of applying for PR ourselves / structuring and pointing you in the right direction via various different resources that are available on IRCC's official website. The TH-cam channel will compliment the e-book and add some personality and entertainment to the entire process :-)
Volume 1: Step by step express entry process from know nothing about immigration all the way to getting an invitation to apply (ECA, IELTS etc). Download here - www.potatotalkies.com/

You said in the video of "First 100 days in Canada" at 2:40 that we should move to downtown Toronto as it would be easier to do the mentioned tasks but what if someone wishes to move to Kitchener directly from India. Won't they be able to do those tasks in Kitchener, Calgary or such places if they wish to directly land there?

hello sir, What's your say on Calgary?? as in I've seen many people eventually move to Calgary/Edmonton after 2-4yrs in Toronto for a family life.. and I'm personally more inclined towards Calgary as I'm not a hustle-bustle city person but prefers some calm relaxed life...(I'm from Goa, India)
Will it be wiser to land in Toronto, get a job, settle down and then make move to Calgary OR directly enter Calgary and start the hustle thereitself??

Doctor of optometry is a very competitive program there are ( I think) 2 schools offering the program, UW and McGill in Canada. Optometrists are paid by the government and through direct billing depending on the size of the practice. Some optometrists offer examinations and eyeglasses/frames sales. The success of an optometrist depends on the market and saturation of the market.

Navjot, you mentioned having FOMO at age 34 when your friends are buying detached houses. Do you and Simran have FOMO about not having kids yet when you see friends and family have kids? Also, how do answer parents, society, friends when they ask you about not having kids yet? Most days I am fine but once in awhile I get FOMO when I see my nephews and nieces and/or feel pressured by society since it is not acceptable in our society to be a childless couple. My husband doesn't seem bothered by above. Would greatly appreciate your view Simran as a wife and your view Navjot as a husband. Thank you kindly 🙏👍

Well, sometimes - we need to make your peace with everything that happens to us / own our decisions.
As for the society - who cares what people think and say about your decisions and your life. You are having a kid for you - not for anyone else - and if someone has a problem with our decisions, we just ask themselves to make one of their own ;)
I know it’s easier said than done, but I am sure that’s how your husband thinks and therefore doesn’t seem to be bothered by all the chatter :) just so you know, this is Navjot here - so it’s a guys POV.

I don't want to be rude here as I always love your content, but now the videos are getting repetitive. The similar things you have covered in 2 or 3 videos.
