    Central Oregon is so far my absolute favorite area in the US. Hope to visit it again soon! Blessings from Norway 🇧🇻

    I also think the airport is cute. Perfect description. I love the wooden rocking chairs in the arrival waiting area.

    Smith Rock is actually in Terrebonne Oregon. North 14 miles away from Redmond ....

      Yeah but I had to put something on the thumbnail and it's just such a great area.

    I lived in Madras for 4 yrs. As far as I'm concerned, anything that's east of the Cascades...sucks. I couldn't wait to move to Salem.

    Great videos! Could you possibly provide me any information about renting options in Redmond? Or the feasibility of buying a home and finding quality renters to help offset huge mortgage costs?

    • @KrommRealEstate
      @KrommRealEstate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Renting is equally as tough right now. There's just a bunch of demand, this could cool though by mid to late summer. Shoot us an email!

      @oregon32nursenurse43 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Jf- quality? Not in Oregon. We have a rental and our renters decided they weren’t going to pay rent “because of covid19”-😳😳
      Kate brown said they don’t have to pay rent until September 2022 because they filed for federal assistance........

    • @SagebrushRambles
      @SagebrushRambles ปีที่แล้ว

      @@oregon32nursenurse43 As a landlord you could have applied for a federally funded landlord assistance grant. Oregon was one of the states offering it. From your snarky comment I wonder if you applied, received it and still bitch about your tenants.

    Loved the video and seeing Redmond for the first time. You said the town is mainly for families but are there 55+ communities? Also we are active in pickle ball. Are there community courts there? Thank you

    • @KrommRealEstate
      @KrommRealEstate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be honest there are not many 55+ communities in the area at all. As for pickleball, I don't know if there are many courts in Redmond but there are a bunch in Bend.

    • @SagebrushRambles
      @SagebrushRambles ปีที่แล้ว

      The waiting lists to get into any 55+ communities are 2-4 years long. I would get moving on that as soon as possible if you haven't already.

    I'm a senior and I've lived in Bend where my family was one of the founding members so I was told and we have a street named after us And Terribon and went to school in Redmond. I've been watching your videos of both towns and from I have seen they have changed a lot since1976 and I've been considering on moving back but it only a thought. However I love to see more of both towns to see how much they have changed.

      Those are few and far between, but they do exist. We have a great agent we work with who's an expert at owner financed. When you get here, reach out to us and we'll get you set up.

    Could somebody out there tell me what monthly real estate taxes would be on a half-mil$ typical house in Redmond ? Are we talking about paying State of Oregon over $1000 a month for property/real estate taxes ? Thanks

    • @KrommRealEstate
      @KrommRealEstate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey B B
      While taxes do vary on every property. An average Redmond house... I would guesstimate around 3k per year. On our side we can see the taxes on every listing.

    • @carolm3768
      @carolm3768 ปีที่แล้ว

      Houses go for $400,000 and up...with $3500 per yr tax. It's not cheap to live here though, I was from NY, been here 22 yrs now. Great if you A'RENT trying to make money ( unless ya have a good job or pension). Might not invest just yet, as Prland has been torched...we are waiting to see if we're next. Lots of folks moved here, because of issues in Ptland. Keep your eye open though!

    • @KrommRealEstate

      Actually east of the Cascade region is pretty conservative. This "Idaho" movement is real. Lots of veterans in Redmond and a great food and music town.
