Troubleshooting a skip back issue on a Pioneer Elite CLD-53. Playback of laserdiscs and CDs was affected by bad capacitors. This video shows to how to find the bad caps and replace them.

I wonder if you have an in circuit ESR tester if that would've shown them up as bad (as i know its hard to test uf in circuit). Also was the Supercap bad too or just replaced as a precaution ?

Thanks for watching! Yeah, I need to get an ESR tester. This one is pretty basic. I was not able to verify if the Super Cap was bad or good because my tester doesn’t go up that high. I’ll keep it around and test when I get a better tool.
