We take a closer look around this contemporary beach house overlooking the Great Ocean Road in North Lorne. Home to Jack and Milly from Great Ocean Road Builders this house was a labour of love and their first owner-builder project. Designed by Josh Crosbie Architects, the house was built over four levels and sits comfortably within its bush landscape. Contemporary black angular forms and sharp lines shape the exterior but it's on the inside that this home really comes to life.

Such a stunning home. Well done to Jack and family for creating such a beautiful space. I adore the windows but wonder how you keep the house warm in a Victorian winter. The fireplace is epic but how do you warm the bedrooms... those windows must get cold and didn't spot any heating??
We have panel heaters in the rooms, which give off a great warmth throughout the season, and the fireplace does the rest. Windows are double glaze E Glass therefore they keep the the warmth in over winter and the summer heat out.

This video is a fail though.
Fire the videographer
They used incorrect light and filter settings for every shot. This is seen by fact that perhaps the most powerful aspect of this house is the views, which were completely whited out as if it was a snow storm outside. Even in the outdoor drone shots. This could have been fixed in post edit also.
This fail in light and filter settings has not shown the magnificent and majesty of this house.
Please edit, repost and apologist to your viewers.
Beautiful home but noticed it’s only the Australian home content that still uses the term “master suite” after the BLM movement, perhaps worth considering the term primary/main etc to avoid associations with slavery (being in the UK maybe this was discussed and adapted a lot more for us)
It looks like interior from Sweden from 1980's. Honestly. Americans got used to drywall so they have no clue what other options are out there. This is not luxury interior. Dont' be fooled. It is just OK one.

How did Americans get dragged into the poor aesthetic choices of an AUSTRALIAN family?! I am American and this is not where near luxury. Looks like a creepy 70s home porn basement set. lol 📹📼📺
6 people on the ground floor sharing 1 toilet/ bathroom, is bad design for such a house, there should have been a separate toilet on this level to make things more comfortable, and the " powder room " has poor ventilation and odour shielding, the narrow corridors are not the best, and in the event of a Bush fire in the hills,good luck to the occupants
2 kids share the 1 bathroom downstairs, the additional rooms as just for visiting family or guests. Thanks for watching
Hi thanks for you input, We have 3 toilets in the house all with ventilation, so we have had no issues, not sure how you get that perception from a video. Timber can also make corridors seem more narrower then perceived. We had this discussion in design, hence why the main hallway is plaster, though my family of 4 seems to all be able to fit standing altogether.
