Aw, what a great man Clive is. His kindness comes right across. I've always wondered how to whistle like that, and following Clive, I actually got it. Well, a small whistle sound, but hey, it's a start! Will keep working at it. Thank you, Clive, for the instructions, and thank you, Jeff, for sharing this great video!
And it's a shame that the International Al Jolson Society kicked him out as a tribute showman from performing at their annual conventions for wanting to perform in blackface as Jolson did..."because we don't want to hurt anyone." Stupid.
Wow. In 2013 Clive was 78 years old. Al Jolson passed in 1950 at the age of 65. 63 years earlier. Clive was 14 or 15. Wow. I am 59 and just finding out about Clive. Wow!!!

Clive, Clive Clive!!!! I just cannot do any type of finger whistling...I don't know why but I cannot. I'm either a blithering idiot or, because the inside of my mouth is so small and I have excess bone in the roof...there's simply no room for the air to come up and over my tongue and fingers! Maybe women weren't meant to do the old schoolboy whistle to begin with!!! I don't know what else it could be. I must tell you, however, that I have enjoyed your singing even more than I did Jolson's...and the fact that you are so handsome, even at the ripe young age of 78 is such a bonus! Thank God you don't have the terrible nasal tones of "Jolie" and that makes your voice so much richer...you are a true and resonant baritone. Bless you...I'll keep practicing though!!!

I keep watching and watching and watching and can’t believe how good you can whistle like that. I can hardly whistle but I am a pianist and I can play it by ear, but I cannot whistle I’ll keep watching and you do not look your age; in addition to that you look like a movie star ⭐️

Remember that Jolson Sing-alike contest in Boston, hosted by WERS. Met you again in Plymouth MA at your theater performance there. What great memories.

web cams are really cheap and most digital cameras have movie taking capability's , If we don't see you whistle, how would we know it was you? So I think it would have to be videoed,

Try whistling while laying down. I know it's an odd suggestion, but it was easier for me that way. It might help.
Only camera phones and I can't borrow that.
