  • I know you all have been asking for this, so here it is! My UPDATED hair care routine! Also, our LASH NEXT DOOR mascara is IN STOCK! Click here to ORDER YOURS before we SELL OUT! ▶️ www.brooklynand...
    Today, I'll show you my whole process and the products that I use! We have 6 GIRLS in the house, and while most of us use the same products, and I’ve taught the girls all my secrets, this routine is specific to me and my hair! (It works best if you have medium to thick straight hair.)
    Feel free to tag your own photos of your routine or products with: #CGHHairCareRoutine
    Again I’m going to stress how important it is that you understand that about 60% of your hair health is due to genetics, and the remaining 40% or so depends on how you take care of it including diet, sleep, etc. Since we cannot do much about the first 60% of hair health, you really need to find what combination fits for you for the remaining 40% to put your hair in the most ideal, best-looking condition as possible.
    Here are a few things to consider:
    1} Drink lots of water
    2} Eat healthy, including plenty of fruits and veggies
    3} Take a multi-vitamin {and drink milk}
    4} Get a good night's sleep and exercise often
    5} Regular hair trims {to eliminate dry, damaged, or split ends}
    Below is a list of all the products mentioned in the video (in order of appearance) with shoppable links!
    * HEAD AND SHOULDERS OLD SPICE PURE SPORT 2-IN-1 ANTI-DANDRUFF SHAMPOO: I can use any shampoo and conditioner for my type of hair, but currently I’m just using head and shoulders!
    rstyle.me/n/c5d...

    rstyle.me/n/c5d...
    * TEA TREE ESSENTIAL OIL

    Hi Mindy! I love your videos! Buuuut using tea tree oil for lice prevention is a common myth. I actually work in a lice removal salon and the only proven preventative for head lice is mint. It can be any kind of mint spray, mint oil, or mint shampoo, but mint is the only known preventative. Clients come in all the time shocked that they got it because they use tea tree every day. Sorry for the bad news, but I hope this can help you and others in the future!

      Hey, I had lice for months and tea tree got rid of it. I know you want people to pay you hundreds of dollars to get lice removed but some people don't have that much money. Plus I've read many scientific study's showing proof that tea tree helps

    • @saraha5522
      @saraha5522 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I once got rid of lice with henna. You keep henna on for hours and the lice suffocate. I also read you can get rid of lice by oiling your hair very thickly with a natural oil like coconut oil and leaving it on at least 2 hours, because apparently lice can hold their breaths for over an hour but not 2.

    You have changed my life I used to make my hair a wet as possible when putting my conditioner in because I thought that was the right thing to do but it really makes sense to get your hair dryer before putting it in. I usually have to use so much conditioner but I used the tiniest amount and it worked so well. I didn't get really notty hair like a normal would and I didn't wake up with a big beehive after bed my hair was nice and smooth. So thank-you so much again xxx

    So I use a two-in-one shampoo and conditioner, its in a circle like contanter too. It works very well with my texture of hair, as I have both very wavy and very curly. As some stylists suggest, I cannot comb/brush my hair when its dry. I love your family and channels!! 💗💗

    cutting the bottom of your hair (aka the dead part) won’t make the roots (the living parts) grow faster? that doesn’t make sense. it keeps your hair looking healthier and less damaged, but it definitely won’t grow faster.

    I have dryer hair, it is kind of straight but kind of wavy. It's a mid length, blonde, and I'm trying to grow it out. It usually gets pretty frizzy. I have found an amazing hair mask that I use once a week. It is two egg yolks and two tbsp of olive oil. I apply it to dry hair, leave it in for 15 mins, and then I rinse it out in cold water (if you use warm or hot the egg will cook into your hair). This mask works sooo well. I have never been able to find something to anti frizz my hair. But this works amazing

    Another shampoo and conditioner that contains tea tree essential oil is Giovanni tea tree triple treat. It’s like adding tea tree, peppermint and rosemary essential oils without having to actually add them to my shampoo and conditioner. What I usually do before I turn off the water and finish showering is to end it with a cold rinse for a few seconds.

    On the splash vs submerge debate I read something a few weeks ago when looking for remedies to dry skin that said our skin and skin oils aren’t designed to deal with the intensity of the shower head so putting your face under the stream can strip your face of natural oils and cause drier skin.

    I’ve been struggling with my hair since I’ve had my son back in 2016! It’s grown so much, I love the length but it felt so lifeless. And honestly was a drag to deal with after I showered. I have thin - fine hair and it was just a NO GO! I am pregnant again with my second baby, about 14 weeks, but my hair has been driving me insane! I’ve been dying to just chop it off and FINALLY I have great feeling hair. I did these steps today and I’ve never had my hair feel soo good! Love these steps!!

    I use a dry shampoo which is brown so it doesn't leave the white residue but I imagine it would work the same way as the bumble and bumble spray. It's from a UK brand called Superdrug so I'm not sure if you could get it but there may be the equivalent available!

    I use Chi and it works so good! I have really fluffy wavy hair but it kinda thinned out because I used to use heat on it like everyday but I’ve stopped using heat completely and the Chi shampoo helps restore the shine and follicles in my hair and makes it super soft! Their keratin spray also works wonders! 😍

    Hi Mindy! I don't know if you will read this. But i wanted to tell you that when i saw your video i was a little skeptic because i was told one that brushing your hair wet could cause breakage and also because I did ti once, and i had a lot of hair fall. But i decided to give it a try, and for making the fall less possible, I untangled my hair before going to the shower, and after that I did everything the same as you but with a little more time with the product( I received a call jajaja) and with different products! And OMG, my hair next day was still wet, but when it dried it was soft and with so much less frizz, it felt like soft and healthy... it looked like i han iron it! it was amazing! thank you so much.

    Trimming your hair sounds like it will work but it actually doesn’t, your hair grows from the roots out not from the ends so trimming it wouldn’t help it grow because you are cutting the ends off. But trimming your hair gives it a healthier look.

    • @huppelhupje
      @huppelhupje 6 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Winnie Durham well it does work by growing it longer, the ends will break if you let it grow and not letting it cut by time. Their rubbing constant against your shirt and thats not making it better.

    Hi Mindy! I used some of your tips today and LOVED them! I have a quick tip that you may wanna use too! Instead of using a regular bath towel to wrap your hair, have you considered using a microfiber towel? It's supposed to help cause less breakage to your hair. I recently made the switch and noticed a difference! The brand I use is from YYXR from Amazon and it was only 9 bucks!

    Another great tip is to put dry shampoo in right before you go to bed but to not blend it into your hair. Just let it sit as you sleep, and in the morning your hair will be oil free. This also gets rid of any white residue.
