Thank you for the interesting comparison. I’ve been running an Anfibio Multi for a few years and have been extremely pleased with it. For the money Nokta Makro stands up pretty well.
Used to own the Nox 800 but took a gamble and bought the Legend to replace it nearly a year ago now. Best thing I ever did. Personally I think it is definitely on a par but for me I just instantly bonded with the Legend, I absolutely love it. New subscription will be added after stumbling upon this video 👍🏻
Somewhat same here. I've had both the nokta impact & Racer 2 for many years. Got the Nox 800 around a year ago & I just can't get excited about using it. I'll immediately admit that I havent given it a fair shake yet, but its hard to when the Impact just fits & feels so good to me.
I bought the Legend after I found out it was pretty much on par with the Nox. The only real difference is the build quality of the Legend (The Nokta Legend is built much stronger) and the price, which I find laughable because I paid $550 for my Nokta Legend with the full carbon fiber shaft and wireless headphones here in South Carolina, and a friend of mine in Newfoundland Canada paid $1500 for the Equinox 800. Bad rip off!!!
Really enjoyed your commentary on both. Undecided between both it's helped ish😅. I'd be interested in what you think on a beach. Thank you I actually enjoyed a review..
Is it just me or is that Nox ALL OVER THE PLACE with the numbers compared to the Legend? I was going to save up for a Nox 8 or 900, but I found a good deal on a Legend, so I went that route. If this video is any indication, I’m glad I went with the Legend.
That was interesting I think the tone on the legend was brighter and more likely to stop me. It does show its a good idea to go round a target to try and make a decision to dig or not.
The ferrous check does NOT tell you not to dig it anymore than the negative numbers on the NOX tell you not to dig the target. They're an indication and neither works at all on deep targets. It's just information to be used.. If you're in a place with deep keepers.......you dig anything deep to be sure because the soil interferes. It's plain to see when you swing over a flat uniform coin from two different angles and get two different results how much of an effect the ground actually has. Does this Legend have the 1.11 update? It should be giving you a higher number on the masked target to match the tone. Or so it seems from other test videos I've watched.
I really enjoyed this test video. Well done!!! Lots of great machines out there right now to choose from. I purchased Nokta Legend early December 2022 after using the Simplex+ for three years with much success. I think that a lot of success comes from just knowing your machine and getting your coil over the target. And you can’t rule out intuition!!! Now I just need to wait for the snow to melt here in the Rocky Mountains so I can start using my Legend 😉 subscribed!!!
Comparing an $500 (+-) machine to a $1,000 (+-) machine, I personally think the Legend held it’s own. They both seem to have their pros and cons. I want a Nox considering the price point, I’ll probably buy the Legend.
It wasn’t a a reflection on price, it was just me testing two of my favourite machines. The Legend definitely holds its own against the Equinox, both great machines.
One thing not mentioned is that the Nox 800 is notorious for leaking if hunting in the water which anyone who knows electronics is a death sentence if that water contains salt!!!
I am just about to buy one or the other so that’s why I’m watching this review.Unfortunately when you get a signal and you start talking I can’t hear a word you’re saying.sorry
For real world U need to test under the same conditions,. Where only the machine is changed, and it should be in a factory default mode. Changing settings is not a like for like test. Find a target, check from all angles, mark the spot then use the other detector and then compare. Dig it up and see which was mor indicative of a good or bad target. Pre buried is a useful "ok" test, it's not real world.
And is that a Hot Rock 2:50 something that is being put in the ground with the Target Signal and if that is then what is really going on with your test results and then the jumpy VDI on both sides of the Detector's and the Legend Detector hit the Target Signal but it's so noisy and Even when it wasn't even close to the target and then the equinox is quiet when it wasn't even close but the jumpy VDI is telling me that there's something else in the ground besides that Hammy and Both Detector's know that and are responding to that.... whatever the rock is..... ???????
I own both And can tell you that the legend is way better on the beach than the equinox I had a lot of issues with the equinox and water my Box had leakage had to send it back to the factory twice And I do agree with you the legends build is like a tank I dragged the legend across the woods with no worries it's extremely tough I ended up giving the equinox to my son
Let me save you some time before you waste 20 mins of your life watching this video. He liked them both for different reasons and couldn’t choose one over the other. So if you are trying to decide between the two, you know as much before watching as you’ll know after.
Or...watch the video so you can see why he liked each for different reasons. It might well turn out that one or the other detector has some functionality that suits the viewers personal needs more. I think it ironic you bang on about wasting time when it is actually your comment that serves no purpose, rather than the video.
@@gregnorth1982 i did watch the video and that’s why I’m saying don’t waste your time. I own them both. I can tell you which one is better without making a video. The Legend is basically an Equinox that doesn’t flood under water. Performance is equal. The build quality of the Legend is better. Legend should be your choice if you are undecided between these 2 detectors. There, 20 mins of your life you can spend doing something useful. You’re welcome.
@@jboat571x9 I know you watched the video. You implied that in your first comment. My point remains the same, I'm suggesting other people can watch the video and see if the points help narrow down their search. Regardless of whether the op couldn't choose one over the other, they made good comments on both detectors strengths. Your original comment was unnecessary and rude.
@@gregnorth1982 my point remains the same as well. They are the same detector except that the equinox has known major leaking issues when submerged while the Legend does not. If you want a detector that will perform the same but you’re ok with inferior build quality, then go with the nox.
@@jboat571x9 your point remains the same? Your point in your original comment was that the video was a waste of time, nowhere did you add anything helpful about build quality. The whole point of my thread here is to suggest you not pick holes in the original video pointlessly. Try to be more helpful rather than wade in and insult people. As for the waterproof nature of the equinox, it was an issue at first and nokta made a big song and dance about it. Minelab had to respond so they changed build process and addressed this issue. Not to mention the 800 has since been replaced with the 900 which, from experience, doesn't leak. Also, what if the user has a selection of coiltek coils already? What if the user prefers the minelab interface? They're both incredible machines, and some users will prefer one over the other but for the most part there's not much in it. That's what the video shows us. What features might suit us personally is down to us after watching it. Ultimately, have some respect for the video maker who took the time to make a side by side comparison, rather than just arrive in the comment and tell us all not to bother watching it.

Very well done video. Definitely impressed with how the legend preformed here.
Glad you enjoyed it
Was going to buy the 800, definitely going to buy the legend, seems better, thanks for video

Great video. I'm from the states. I have a nox 800 and just ordered the legend. But I have used the legend. Great machine finds stuff deep.
Yeah they are both great machines, the Legend hits hard on the medieval hammered coins. I enjoy them both.
If you had to buy one machine which one would you buy?
Im in Mn with clay and black dirT
Well the nox 800 is a great machine. But is right up there . great machine for the money legend.
Last find with the Legend looks like a mantel clock leg or something
Totally agree with the clock... I'll give it another 10mins and an hour passes
It’s easy to lose a few hours without even realising.
You should have used one to find something in the field and see if the nox could read it also.
This is the best test ,,,but many people won't do it

It's true, getting to know your machine is key, knowing it and being lucky. Good luck with it

great video but I have to say with the Nox I wouldn't have dug a signal at the beginning! on the contrary the Legend much more stable!
Look at that wobble on the minelab shaft.
Make a Minelab Equinox 900 Vs Nokta Legend!
That will be coming soon 👍
Enjoyed the demo's, a good unbiased appraisal of pros and cons . love the pinpointer which make is that ?
Thanks for the feed back. The pin pointer is a Quest Xpointer Max.
On the George the 3rd where the Legend showed ferrough how do you know that there wasnt iron down there deep?
Nice vid mate..thinking of the legend as its cheaper of the two...👍🏻
What brand pinpointed are you using?
I have quite a few but I mainly use a Quest Xpointer Max.
Thanks for the video, subscribed

Quest Xpointer Max
Pls do a test to a large buried object on its maximum depth cabapility

Can a legend break through rocks?
Volume to low. Wind its louder than voice 😭
💸💸👏👏👏👏 legend

Yo me quedo con el legend
You didnt decide, so thumbs down. Own both. Like the nox better. see how easy that was
OK derek
