I also appreciate the new double axe morph from sword being worked in and back. You have an extensive knowledge of the weapon. I have been playing since the weapon came out and rarely see such strong use of it to this extent. Excellent run and good luck on future runs.

After farming for like 200 hours, you should find something good, am I wrong? Also I like this charm, but I want a Wex 2 with a lvl 2 slot, but I can't find it!
@@Benjiboi your wrong. There is a group of us yet to see 2 Attck, wex, crit eye or boost. Slots are rare to. I happen to be at exaclty 200 hours. Con 2 on the other hand im drowning in. Shame I despise using bow. Great video Ive messed about with all the weapons now. Time to return to my favorite and start the serious grind.
This weapon is a whole new thing in Rise but you use it like a total Kamura god. Love how you change between modes to gain ground, evade and be offensive at the same time. Whenever I use that strategy either miss hits or end up in a different position. Will keep practicing, defitinively better than in World or 4U. Amazing.
Note: This run uses a custom set of rules with the intent of getting closer to the spirit of the TA Wiki Rules, which have not yet been announced. Edit: TA Wiki Rules now are online and my ruleset it's in line with the official regulation. The rules I used: - No palico - No Palamute - No traps - No capture - No endemic fauna to damage - No flashbug / Screaming Pod - No Pokémon Battle - Riding only to slam the monster one time - No buff butterflies

No, I use ZSD because ZSD + SWB is pretty strong. Also CFD is not so strong, it requires a lot of charge and a lot of animation commitment. So for the moment is a big "no no" for the majority of the matchup. But maybe in the future it wil receive a buff, who knows. For Rapid Morph, the correct way to utilize it depends on your ability with Switch Axe. It's not only the A > R > A combo, but also faster switch attack in general. Switch Attack are useful to poke the monster, to reposition yourself, to keep costant aggression. It's not only damage but also flexibility!
You absolutely should. SwA is far more aggressive and just flows un the transitions. The CB has so many stop start moments in comparison. Just watch out since you no longer have a block.or a dodge. Only having a hop means really needing monster knowledge at times.
What's your thoughts on the Phials? From what I've experienced, anything but Power have the edge thanks to the faster charge up time. Also not sure what Poison Phials do exactly...
Power Phials are not so good for the moment. They charge very slow and there isn't a very strong SA of that type. Poison Phial simply poison the monster!

do you think element is better than pure raw with SA? i managed to make a build with 310 AR before buffs, only downside is it has negative 15 percent affinity. still testing and farming things though. great run!
It depends from monster to monster. Every time I prepare a speedrun I study the HZV of the monster, the staggers limit, status alteration weakness, and so on! Anyway a 310 AR it's not bad at all, but you miss entirely the possibility to crit (which is 25% more damage or 35% if you have Crit Boost 2) and a 5% of damage for the green sharpness (20% if you don't play Bludgoner in the set).
The fact is that the combo ZSD + Soaring Wyvern Blade is very strong, furthermore the CFD requires a lot of charge, it doesn't make too much damage and it has a lot of commitment. So is a very situational skill. I don't way to say that it's useless, but probably is strong against very few matchups for the moment. But future update could make this attack very strong!
@@nyflo718 I love Invincible Gambit, but the combo ZSD + SWB is too strong!. In any case there could be some matchups where a Switch Skill set with both Invincible Gambit and CFD could be good. One of them probably is the final boss.
@@nyflo718 Invincible Gambit it's not bad, I really like it, but the combo ZSD + SWB is very strong aganist a lot of matchups. Furthermore it doesnt' give you iFrame, but instead gives you super armor (which means you still receive some damage from the monsters' attacks)
it's a switch axe silk-bind move. You have to unlock it first, set it, and press ZL and X. Some weapons can do it, not just Switch Axe, like Insect Glaive, Dual Blades and Sword and Shield.
It's kind of morbidly hilarious when you ZSD and attach yourself on the monster's butt. Doubly so when you finish them off with the final explosion. Also, I love how moments like 2:36 - you trigger either a stagger or a KO on a monster while it's in midair, causing it to literally stop short mid-jump/flight and drop straight to the ground, as if momentum isn't a thing.
@@Benjiboi when you finishing the ZSD and it throws you into the air, do you have to cancel it early to use a silkbind attack and prevent the recovery animation, or can you always cancel it with a silkbind regardless?
Probably No Palico, No Palamute, No Flashbug/scream pod, No traps, No ambiental traps, No Pokémon Fight, No Endemic life, no butterfly (at least on purpose), no Heroics, no set swap during the quest. The points that I think are still in doubt are the Riding (I think that the Rules will allow to wall bang one time the monsters) and the use of charms in the set (because there are a lot of runners with cheated god tier charms).

He already had Max attack boost so that isn't an option, more crit affects raw which is a bigger amount of damage dealt so I would say in this instance crit eye was the better call but on my build in particular with wex2 charm I have exactly the opposite, crit eye 1 and one more ice attack, and the damage is nearly the same over time, negligible

And yes, it's good to end your combo with A > X+A when your damage opportunity is over if you're in amped state with ZSD. ZSD starts up faster from A or A > A in sword mode, so that's the best time to use it if you can.

The reason you want amped state for X+A is that is what makes it latch on to the monster, assuming that's what you're aiming for. I don't usually use the morph combo outside of amped state, I prefer to just stay in sword mode to reach amped state ASAP
The MV of the Switch Axe attacks, especially the SWB, ZSD and ED, favor the raw power instead the element, so it's normal to prioritize Critical Boost instead Critical Element.

awesome work, such skill on the movement attack reads. Highlight for me was the wirebug attack to the tail causing broken part, so satisfying!
