I put the wrong time stamp in the video!! Apologies, I have no clue what I'm doing!! 11:29 - For the 1st Drone Flight 15:20 - 2nd Drone Flight 19:35 - Still Photos
@@tmayer0009 I agree, I like the natural sounds much better than music. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue doing that with some practice! The horn was the Drummond Islander IV ferry boat taking off just behind me. They have to give a quick blast before each run.
Loved it. Ride along, wild life , natural sounds of nature, fog and I know not what. Skip the music. Love the water sounds, the wind, the ferry horns and everything else that finds it’s way on the the video. Very enjoyable.
Thank you so much! I've always wanted to attempt a video like this, but I'm still figuring things out and getting comfortable. If the feedback was good, my plan was to continue to try! This place is just too beautiful not to share. I really appreciate the feedback, it's a huge help for me!
I just found your channel Thomas! Love the amazing photography and great content! I live near Lake Macatawa in Holland, Michigan. The Great Republic brings stone to Brewers dock several times a year. We get to see it come and go but your drone shots really brought it up close! Thank you for all you do and keep the great content coming!!
Great video! Loved the ride-along format and would like to see more of them, hearing your perspective during the activities. Also, enjoyed the natural sounds.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. I’ve always wanted to try recording an entire photo session, but I wasn’t sure how to go about it! Just need a bit of practice. Next one I’ll get more focused into the equipment I use as well, I think I’ll be more comfortable with how to do it now. Thank you for watching!
Your mom, stepmom and sister just watched this together! We’re proud of your videos and LOVE to see what you’re doing up there. You’re in your element for sure!!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I spend way too much time on that app! The Wilfred Sykes was here on the island today but I missed it! That’s one of my favorites. Thank you for watching!
Much appreciated!! One of these days I'll just come down there in the middle of the night and toss you guys into the Jeep! I'm actually going to be down in your area in a week or two, we should grab a beer and discuss this Drummond trip. Meyer too! It's been way too long
On Sunday July 7th I was watching the Detroit River from Bishop Park in Wyandotte, Michigan. The Great Republic was upbound passing Grosse Ile. I had my spotting scope on a tripod and got great views of her until she was out of sight. No coffee? That’s horrible! 🤣
Nice! I've been a boatnerd since I was a toddler. My Dad was a shipwreck hunter in the Great Lakes and he took me everywhere!! I eventually became his dive partner. These ships mean a great deal to me because of the history they represent to me and to this area

I like the natural sound of the water and nature better than music, that’s my opinion anyway.
Was she blowing her horn for your drone??

Awe, how cool! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now you know what I do all day up here!! (when I'm not chopping wood)
Very nice and informative video. Marine Traffic is my bible that I track all the ships. Really enjoyed your tour @Thomas Salwoski!😊
