Great videos. Living history.

I was incredibly blessed being born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. I grew up watching these beautiful ladies pass through the locks. Seeing the inner workings of them is awesome! The captain was a very gracious host, and, your narration was very good. I look forward to more of your videos

how cool is this? thanks for sharing! i can't help thinking though how much things have changed, looking at the pictures of Capt Bernie Cooper from 1975 and how the present Captain and 1st mate were dressed today.

The Capt. in this video is the one of nicest guys I've ever sailed with. I don't sail on the Stone boats anymore, but I was always relieved when I knew I was sailing with him.

What a GRAND Tour of the Legendary Arthur M. Anderson! You (and we) got to see just about everything, the Captain was so gracious to take the time to proudly show off his Ship. Thank YOU for including those of us interested.

I'm sure the tour I just saw doesn't compare with actually being there, but I was happy to see it. I kept thinking, did the Edmond Fitzgerald look like this too? I hope someday to see one of these in person. I noticed when they were at one end of the Anderson, it was hard to see the other end. I mostly saw a lot of length between the two ends.

I was thinking of Captain Bernie Cooper when I saw this, sitting in the pilot house on that fateful night. I thought I was almost walking through the Edmund Fitzgerald, the ships were very similiar, it's almost unbelievable that she foundered, when I saw how big and strong the ships looks. It tells you of the power of Lake Superior. In a odd way, this video is heart breaking, but thank you so much for showing us the ship. God Bless and Keep Safe all who said the Great Lakes.

This is an awesome tour into the workings of a ship many will never see. Very similar to the Fitzgerald, right? Kind of erie at times!

Thanks so much for both parts 1 and 2 of this video. I've always been a fan of the Great Lakes fleets, especially the Pittsburgh Steamship Division of US Steel and of the three built in about 1952, the Anderson, Cason J. Callowary and Philip R. Clarke. I'm a year older than the Anderson, and I've never seen it up close like this. I think you (and the Captain) have made a number of us very happy with this upload.

Thank you for the tour! The Anderson is my favorite of all the working ships on the Lakes, and I love her iconic Laker form. There aren't that many Bulk Carriers left still running a steam plant, and I loved the chance you gave us to see it up close.

Never got to see the galley or quarters.

Pretty Cool Tour of the Ship. The Captain is definitely proud of his vessel and has a right to be. It’s in amazing condition for its age. Would like to see the engine room when in operation and unloading. Thanks for the Video.

Diesels to unload the boat and its still steam powered to propel the boat? Is that right? I know the SS Badger is steam driven but I thought was it.

This was awesome! I’d love to be able to tour this legendary vessel also. I got shivers when you went into the pilot/wheelhouse thinking about that fateful night the Edmund Fitzgerald went down, and I could picture in my mind captain Cooper just behind her! Unbelievable..

The Captain was very gracious with his tour. And justifiably proud of of his ship. A 73 year old ship that was spotless inside. Thank you so much Thomas and Captain Treece for the tour. I will never have that opportunity and even if I did I would not be able to do all the stairs.
