- Ever dreamed of living on a flower farm and arranging massive decedent flower bouquets? Well your dreams are a reality in this video, as Serina sets out to make an summer flower creation, in our largest and most difficult vase. She always manages to pull it off, but will she this time as well? She will be using a massive pile of Marigolds, a limitless number of Lisianthus, a sizeable sum of Statice, and just the right amount of Amaranth and Zinnias. So come hang out on the farm, and arrange with us!

I worked as a florist many moons ago. For large arrangements without foam,you need a large urn, or a container with taller sides. Prep your wire and tape dry, and then add the water. You can buy a good florist tape to use instead of masking tape. Always start with your greens. You could plant curly willow, and use it for height and drama. You can also dry it.
This arrangement is made in the round, meant to be viewed from all sides, so all colours represent on all sides, you can do clumps, just make sure of distribution.
I realize this was for you, and you did an excellent job of it! If you were to make another, for your portfolio say, I would replace the acid yellow with a softer yellow. That would be an amazing combo for a summer wedding. Your paler yellow flower should still have some texture. Very nicely done. I’ve watched since the beginning, and you have evolved so much. Nice job!

I grew a bunch of lisianthus by seed this year! They are produced buds, can't wait till they open. I am guessing in a few weeks.

Make a grid frame across your container with tape , it will help hold your blooms in place
That works really well with shorter arrangement but in a case like this where there's so much weight above the rim of the vase you really need to anchor the stems all the way down to the bottom.
A grid and maybe a layer of pebbles in the bottom would work.

Hi Serina, I have followed you two from the very beginning of your farm adventure. Your enthusiasm and positive energy are incredibly contageous. I am in awe of what you two hasve accomplished Having said that, I do not like this arrangement at all. I am a painter and work with colors. The yellow marigold flowers are simply too big, too yellow and too overpowering, they knock everything else out of the ballpark, unfortunately. The idea of a bouquet is that all the flowers work together in harmony. The lisianthus, although expensive, make no impression at all. I think you do have talent and I have liked many of your arrangements. Why don t you wantch Georgie of "common garden flowers", an English lady, she reminds me so much of you. She teaches classes, is so entertaining and funny and knowledgeble. You would love her!!!! Sending much love and admiration from Mexico, land of the marigolds.

I was a mortuary florist, we used oasis foam and wet tape, but at home I learned to use vintage flower frogs , I have glass or metal. And by the way, you have a paradise of material to work with, I'm in the desert now, so I use the wildflowers on our property 😊

I imagine ruby sparkle adornments to fascinate an image of 🩸, blood. And maybe a safe spot for incense so the thing is smoky , perhaps a few led lights tucked in for a spooky effect !!!

You give a strong argument for marigolds! I may try to grow them again. A few years ago I grew a variety that grew about 6 feet tall and had such a strong smell that I hated them. When I would harvest them, I felt like I needed to shower immediately because I was clocked in their scent.😂
I think a pale yellow marigold mixed in with the bright yellow would look so good. It feels like the mono colored yellow marigolds are a bit too heavy for the arrangement.

Yellow coco marigolds are amazing! I grew some this year and they are my favorite of all the coco colors. The little bit of green in the center really makes them special :)
I love all of your designs… except this one. The lisianthus is soft and romantic but the marigolds are bright and cheerful . I wouldn’t pay a dime over $950 for it 😂😊

Great job! Always a learning curve with floral arranging. Enjoyed watching the process. Maybe next time you could use a softer tone like buttercream or white swan colour of marigold to go with your soft pink lisianthus.

This would be great for doing as a challenge- like where you challenge some of us other "Flower farmer/TH-camrs" to build a $1000 bouquet/arrangement using the flowers they currently have blooming in their field & they make a video about it as well... & then you could just leave the challenge at that, or take it a step further & combine clips of everyone's arrangements/bouquets into a video, & have people vote for their favorite... I think that would be really fun, although it also sounds challenging... 😂

I absolutely LOVE you making one large bouquet!! I honestly didn’t think you could do it, with all those marigolds I thought no way is it possible to make it look rich and sophisticated but I have to give credit to you, Serena you pulled it off! I can definitely see that enormous arrangement on a large dining table or an entry table. It was absolutely beautiful! You are extremely skilled and I think you can do anything you set your mind to! I could definitely see the lizeanthas as a bridal bouquet would be incredibly feminine and beautiful! I think most people have no idea about that kind of flower, I know I had never heard of them until watching this channel. I initially thought of them as mini roses but they are much more beautiful then a rose. Congrats on your vase adventures! And keep up the great work of mini vases although I think personally you need to drop your prices a tad on the mini bouquets to $15 at the most. But that’s just my opinion. I know I’d be more inclined to purchase two or three mini bouquets rather then larger ones. Just an idea.
