    What Yvie shared about AS7 is brutal. Clearly on AS7 the judges didn't even bother to learn what the queens had accomplished since their original seasons. Shocked and saddened that Yvie had to go through this. Great interview!

    one of Yvie's most compelling traits has always been how authentic she is; I think that's what draws fans so much to queens like her or Adore or Katya, so the fact that they presented such an inauthentic version of her experience on AS7 is so sad to me. Even before watching this interview I was ready to die on the hill that we were robbed of Yvie Oddly lip syncs on AS7, but hearing that that's about the same amount of respect they gave her art the entire time is much worse. She (and all the winners) deserved better

      She seems like an actual artist spirit. Nothing against other queens, but I do get the feeling she appreciates it greatly when people adore her art, whereas some queens want to be the center of attention themselves and NOT their art.

    Yvie deserved so much better on S11 and AS7. I agree with her feeling like she wasn’t shown properly. Like it’s obvious that production didn’t know what to do with her genuinely and when to give her the praise and respect and the W. Same with Raja.

    • @zootmoe

      @Chasfondue17 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      You feel sorry for her because they gave her the win in S11 and showed her only in a positive light in AS7? It's a reality - competition show, it could have hardly gone better for her. I'd loved AS7 and was so happy that everyone got the opportunity to shine. But the bickering of some queens after the fact was annoying.

    • @JoseSena-gs4tz
      @JoseSena-gs4tz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      @@Chasfondue17 I actually feel bad for her because you can tell in S11 that they didn’t know whether to give her a good or bad edit in the story and didn’t see her as winner potential more like runner up. She is the only winner with one shared win. A lot of us thought Brooklyn would win. In AS7 it further showed that production didn’t know where to fit Yvie in the puzzle. I hope that makes sense I get it’s a Reality TV show, but you also don’t wanna give off the impression that a certain character with importance like Yvie Oddly as a winner to feel off in the story

Ann3cy stuff aside (and grooming and SA totally isn't aside, just dont want to address it this second) we have her on video *crying* because she can't say the n-word. Honestly I think it may have been a case where she was surrounded by "Yes Men" until it was way too late: early in her career she needed to be confronted that the derogatory and offensive language used by him, a cis white man isn't "funny" or "edgy", it really bothers people. But I can't say I feel too bad for her either.

    What an absolute legend. How lucky you are to just chill with her like this and yet you kept it just professional enough without being formal. 😎😇

    What a great interview! Yvie is my favorite queen of all time since the beginning of season 11, and it's so sad that she wasn't fully appreciated on All Stars 7 when she had an amazing growth in her drag.

    I love Yvie ❤ and I’m so glad she is exposing all the shenanigans that rupaul and producers/unqualified judges are trying to fit drag into a perfect little box.

    Yvie’s one of the most underrated winners across the franchise and I don’t understand why she’s so under-appreciated by the producers and judges of DR. I’ve always found her drag so unique, intelligent and interesting.
    Even though I really enjoyed All Stars 7, I definitely noticed something was off whenever it came to the way Yvie was judged, her runways were stellar, she did really good in the challenges and her final lip sync against Raja was so good but for some reason, the judges just weren’t that impressed 🤷🏽‍♂️
    Also love some of the questions this interviewer asked without coming across as exploitative, like the questions about the negative critique Yvie got from the judges and what happened at the reunion were asked very respectively.
