The season was definitely rigged (just like every season is), but Jinkx was not the only one who was favoured by said rigging, or shall we remember the random 3 stars for the talent show challenge?
For everyone upset with the 3 stars. Math! There were multiple girls with 2 stars, and multiple girls with 3 stars. Depending on who won we would have had more than a final 4. So there had to be a tiebreaker with stars. Mind you it still came down to two girls having the same number of stars so Monét had to break that tie. Clearly none of this matters.
@@jamesmajorburns6820 i think if it’s only 1 star it would’ve been Monet 3, Jinx 4, Trinity 3, Jaida 3, which wouldn’t end up having to make anyone choose who to take to top 4
A lot of people here are missing the point of what she said about Jinkx. There are many situations in the show that get edited to look better or worse, to justify the judges' decisions, either because they have a favourite or because on TV something doesn't come across as well as it does in person. They literally edited out the second lip sync between Jinkx and Trinity by leaving out the fact that she fell during her attempt at a cartwheel for example, or how they tried their best to pretend that Jinkx and Monet were evenly matched in the final lip sync. Like Matt said, Jinkx is self-aware enough to know that, it's more likely that she was more comfortable validating the fact that there was riggory in her favor when other queens said it than she was by having actual riggory in her favor by the production.
She’s not? I’m not a jinx stan or a jinx hater but she’s definitely not the most successful winner. Even with allstars, some of her challenge wins were debatable. Monet won the lip sync hands down and should have been crowned
@@nanaadwoaofori7882 And Shea shouldn’t have gotten 3 stars and Raja shouldn’t have won Queen if she done already had herses, but that happened. It’s a reality show where everyone knows going in that the producers want to create a story and choose the person they want that helps tell that story. It’s not rigged. It’s literally a reality show about drag. That would be like entering a pageant where you know they judges are going to choose someone they want to win no matter how they perform in the question and answer section and no matter how well they do in their performance, but you hope it’s going to be you they chose so you still enter the pageant, but then you get upset when it’s not you that they end up choosing. Of coure Jinx crowning was deserved and she is really that much talented, she earned it. As Yvie herself said in other clip, she didn't join AS7 to be crowned, but to show her art. It seems, for me, that the queens were not happy with the way they were judged (e.g Michelle saying that Yvie hadn't found her identity yet) and then it was all cut to make it look like it was all smiles and praises. I mean c'mon guys, it's television, things are edited in a way to favor the show, the queens' feelings have to be more complex than "they are divas they are bitter they are jealous etc etc"
I'm even more curious now Jinx agreed it was rigged, but I wonder if it was a situation where everyone was coming down on her so she agreed out of anxiety and confrontation Or if she came in agreeing from the start I would love to see how it actually went down
I do think Jinx is self aware and knows how things work. She has previously commented about how she was edited in season 5 as well. Plus there’s so much that would’ve happened whilst filming that didn’t make the final edit we saw, so they are speaking from a much more knowledgeable place of what actually happened compared to us fans
It’s kinda wild when you realize they bent the competition for jinx twice lmao. The detox lipsync song change and then changing lipsync for crown 2 weeks before airing by adding a last minute dub lol. But meh, it’s an entertainment show first and a competition second.
Yvie will always be my fave. As a gay kid in the 60's, you always feel like your the odd one out. My total weirdness was locked away like nobody's business.
I think it’s great how people of all ages love Yvie, how she speaks to a wide range of people. At her shows, there are a fair number of people 50+ in age (I was a kid in the ‘70s).
Kind of annoying how people think it matters or not that Jinkx's win was well-deserved. None of the other queens have said or even implied that she shouldn't have won the season. What it is about is the competition being rigged, the questionable judging, and being misrepresented through (malicious) editing. Yes, it's reality TV and we all know that the producers want to make good TV, but the fans are nevertheless vicious towards the queens, the producers, and each other, and real people's lives have been seriously affected. There's a lot of negativity that RPDR brings into the world and the people who produce it are not invested in addressing these issues.
Jinkx earned her win! Jinkx slayed on their original season and she did on All Stars 7. All the queens were amazing, but Jinkx deserved the win! Anyone saying otherwise is bitter.

@@nailartguy3363 Right… no one is saying those aren’t examples of rigging… lol. I don’t understand why people have to bring up whataboutisms into it when jinx is brought up.
While it’s true there is definitely riggory in every single season to push storylines (*cough*Jorgeous, Kandy*cough*) I think it also rings true that many Queens across all seasons believe they did better than they actually did.
I mean, Shea and Trinity were literally right there, back in the season 9 finale Shea showed up with 4 wins under her belt and Trinity had 3 wins but none of that mattered and they were eliminated, if back then Ru had said "both your lipsync for the crown AND your performance in the competition will be taken into consideration" things would have been much different. Even more so if you consider the fact that Monét destroyed Jinkx in the lipsync for the crown, and if the leaks are true at one point Jinkx had to stop lipsyncing and simply looked at Monét, which isn't too farfetched because of how overedited the final lipsync was.
Unless production took Jinkx shopping, this isn't _another_ instance where her win can called into question. It's likely a clash of egos and tantrums like the Raja blowup that's become a legend of lost _Drag Race_ footage. With all winners, I'm sure _at least_ one was clearly expecting h@ndj0bs each time they walked down the runway. If I'm wrong, put the reunion out. Put the Raja tantrum out, too. Withholding it is only going to make us all think the absolute worst of all involved or seriously question the production overall.
I mean Jinkx can do everything and genuinely true mother that's why she is what she is and loved by everyone.💗 It is really the production being so intense more than ever
Girl, this is a TV show first and foremost, and then a competition. A simulated competition for our entertainment. The drag queens are hired as paid reality TV actors in their contracts. Of course there's an edge and they showcase their talents, but the producers must come up with storylines for us to enjoy a 50 minute edited video of at least two entire days of filming. They influence who gets more wins based on those arcs they want to portray. RPDR is not about who's the best drag queen, but a TB product aimed at getting millions of views and money. Is Jinkx not deserving? She's deserving of the title as any of the other queens of the cast. What you perceive as an edge on the competition is what producers want you to see and validate.
i think the rigging that everyone is talking about is how the challenges themselves was catered for jinkx to nail, like i know they are some "comedy" queens there but putting them in a season with jinkx and comparing it to a normal drag race season, they were an abundance of comedy type challenges
It may be that english is not my main language, but what does Yvie mean by "we get affirmations from the one person that it would have mattered from" ?
They may felt it’s rigged but let’s look at it fair and square, Jinkx definitely won 3 challenges hands down (Snatch game, Roast, Graduation speech), top two for 2 other challenges (Improvisation, Branding). I think this kind of results is enough to be crowned.

This is capitalism at its finest because at the same time, it helps educate, brings awareness and promotes progressive left wing ideologies needed for social advancements in society.
