    By silent they mean ’’silent colors’’, not silent switches.

    I absolutely agree with you on the fact that 65% boards are so much better than 60%. You get so much more functionality at the expense of only being ever-so-marginally bigger.
    The only reason I can see as to why 60% boards are so much more popular is because keycap compatibility. Which is a bummer but if 65% became the norm, I'm sure many more '65% spec'd keycaps' would flood the market.

    • @ideoidiom
      @ideoidiom 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      I personally think a 60% layout does most of what 65% does and looks better because of symmetry, especially if you split backspace and right shift. My favourite layout is split backspace and right shift, and either remap the 4 bottom 1.25u into arrow keys or split them into 5 1u keys, 4 of which become arrow and one becomes whatever you want. All these changes net you 3 extra programmable keys, which I argue is all you really need.

      I'm so wishing a future where anyone can make a one off double shot set with whatever design and legends they wish. And it not being extremely expensive. Can't be that impossible in a few years time. I hope.
      That's the advantage of profiles like dsa for me, no rows to worry about. But Cherry profile is so superior in every other way.

    • @puhgeh

      anne pro 2 does the job well than having to mess with your right shift key just to squeeze those arrow keys.

    For those who add LEDs to the board, you can cycle through different modes (breathing,raindrops, etc) using FN+ Delete key. FN + Arrow Up/Down sets the light intensity, FN+Arrow Left/Right sets the rapidly for breathing mode/raindrop/etc.

    The "silent" branding on pre-builts is a holdover from a time before dampened Cherry switches were a thing. Any non-clicky switches were marketed as being silent just for not being clicky. It's obviously outdated by now because of MX Pinks and Silent Blacks, but I'm guessing it sticks around with older companies like Ducky.

Also, it did not came with the extra grey keycaps. The battery problem is either terrible sloppiness or straight FALSE advertising. I contacted customer service of Banggood asking for compensation or refund and an explanations for this and they gave no explanation and offer me a miserable 5 EUR refund with no option of returning the item or anything. This is incredible sloppiness. AVOID this items and this website at all cost.

      @christopherberkoben3800 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      zer0slayer I think it was great build quality for the price. Though it is a plastic outer case, it has a substantial weight. The two included usb-c (usb-c to usb-a/c) and the unboxing experience are really nice as well. The software included is pretty good. I have yet to take it apart so I don’t know how easy/ hard that is (only matters if you want to replace the included key switches). The included keycaps are great great pbt caps with very nice legend type face (however the placement of the secondary functions were a bit odd to me). All in all it’s a great keeb for the price!!!
      Just to be fair I don’t have many keebs to reference, but so far I have no regrets:)

    How reliable is this keyboard when it's in wireless mode?
    I have an Anne Pro 2. It sometime goes berserk on me when it's in bluetooth mode: phantom typing, remapping of the keys to weird symbols, huge latency, and unregistered key presses. This happens a lot when I'm working. Not sure if it the design softwares I'm using have anything to do with it.
    Now, I'm on the look out for a more reliable option. The Akko 3068 seems to fit the bill, minus the bluetooth latency. A 60-68% keyboard with dedicated arrow keys. I would love it to be bluetooth-ready, but it seems like there just isn't a reliable bluetooth mechanical keyboard out there. Would love to get your opinion on it. Thanks!

    To everybody that wants to buy this one and then upgrade it with TADA68 case, be warned that it might NOT fit in that case. It looks like it can, but on closer inspection (just by looking at the pictures and this video), the pins don't line up correctly.
    The left side looks ok, and then the middle and right side does not. The middle on AKKO is dead on the middle, while the TADA has it off-centre a bit (both pins). The right side has two pins on both cases but on TADA they are a bit further from the edge than in the AKKO, so it will not fit here either.
    This is just my observation from the video and pictures, as I was very interested in first, but will probably not go for it now since you don't have any nice upgrade options (I don't care about BT so I would not miss this in alu case).
    EDIT:
    Just to say, if anybody receives this keyboard and already has TADA68 alu case, please try to fit this pcb/plate inside just to see if it works or not. I would very much like to be proven wrong.

    This or the Keychron K6? Both look nice. I'm wondering which would feel more premium and best to use on the regular

    • @ninaalee3263
      @ninaalee3263 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would pick this over the K6, the K6 is nothing but a scam: worst ABS keycaps ( seem like they made those keycaps in some dumpster) , very inconvenience high profile case ( you can't use them for long period of time without a wrist rest) , terrible stabilizers.
      This model of Akko is obsolete now and they have released a new version comes with: even more high quality PBT keycaps, Bluetooth 5.0, better stabilizers, recolored and upgraded Gateron switches.

    Is there a standard angle for keyboards? I got the Anne Pro 2 and it had a strange angle that I didn't like. I can't tell from this review if the angle is more extreme than say a Ducky One 2 Mini, which feels "standard" to me.

Also I wanted to mention the power switch on mine is slightly different than the one in the vid and for some reason all the stabilizer bars are stuck between the plate and the PCB. On a side note any suggestions on where to get as well as what foam can be used to fill in the case to hopefully quite things down, plus what about getting a bigger battery for it?

    For example, when I press the key 1, "&" show up instead of "!" as indicated on the key and it's the same for every single specific key which make the keyboard not utilizable.
    Maybe I'm doing something wrong and there is a way to reprogram/change the layout so when I press a specific key, it's what is written on that key that appear and not something else.
    Any help would be much appreciated !
