You're a real and great kb builder. Everyone is able to just spend tons of money in expensive parts. You can turn even the cheapest build into a great great keeb, you respect the budget stuff as much as the more luxurious one. So much respect. You are what this hobby needs, thank you
Good to see some love for YMDK! I I used their parts quite a lot back when I was still beginning in the hobby, especially their frosted acrylic low profile 75% cases that work with KBD75 PCBs
I got so excited because these keycaps and this color scheme were exactly what I was thinking of using for my next build. The board looks incredible, I'm for sure doing it now. GJ Tae!!
This is what a real custom keyboard should be like. People talk about custom keyboards all the time, but all they do is buy a kit just like everyone else. They might have a different color case, but anyone that bought the same color case will generally have the same keyboard. Custom should be something you actually made your self, and you won't find it anywhere else. This is truly special and one of a kind board. I love this channel.
Everything you touch turns out in a piece of art! These budget builds get more and more interesting every time. I would love to see what you can make with the KPrepublic Poseidon60 alu case, it's a cheaper Tofu alternative.
I'm not kidding, I bought this board one day before you posted this video and i could not have been more excited to see you upload this video. Great stuff man !
Oh man for my first ever build I've been wanting to get these caps and those switches and with this video I'm definitely getting the caps for sure. Thanks for all the time you put into this build and video, especially that matcha tea shot!
It's so funny that I just finished building an Arisu myself like 2 days ago and I absolutely love it!!! Maybe if I knew that this one was a thing I would've saved some money LMAO but I'm still incredibly happy with what I got. Anyways, awesome video man, love the matcha theme!
Great video as usual dude honestly have no real feedback. I would love to see a video on your filming techniques and such, or just like storyboarding vids. Always enjoy seeing what happens behind the scenes.
this may actually be one of the best keyboard customization videos ive seen in a very long time, lots of unique ideas that i am TOTALLY going to steal for my next build.
@@saudigta5237 im enjoying the typing experience, i bought mine with no switches. I highly recommend putting foam in the case and in between the pcb (traced the plate and cut it out myself) because the board sounds really hollow without it.
Yet another banger custom! Always amazed how you can turn even budget boards into such amazing final builds. Huge respect Also holy shit that type test is NUTTY
@@TaeKeyboards Interesting. In any case. Great vid. Really shows how a little time and creativity can make a board incredible. Despite not knowing anything about Kpop my favorite builds are the ones like it where you start with a central theme and expand on it.
Depends on the prep and the quality of the paint and clear coat. Ove been throwing this around quite a bit, and it’s been all good. But defs won’t be as durable as the stock ano.
great vid overall, paintjob is insane. this is a def a display piece if you never end up using that board specifically. i picked one up a bit ago, put everglide dark jades, but i never got used to the "B" key being on the left side. the split backspace for me was flipped and i never found out which thing it fell under when i tried to QMK it. im not a big fan of it, maybe bc of the switches but its still a nice budget board overall.
@@razer1158 yeah it's really rough. I've found a ton of sweet looking caps, particularly in SA profile which is my favorite that I just cant get cus of the cap incompatibilty.
I'm super interested in that water film decal or whatever that was (sorry i don't know the real name graphic design is not my passion)! The aesthetics of this build are next level.
Another banger of a video, and a great looking board. But I don't know, I think I'd probably need that extra 'B' on the right side like on an Alice layout. I type properly (B with my left index) in English, but in Korean I use my right index for 'ㅠ' (same as B) because its a vowel. Not sure how to explain, maybe my compatriots would understand.
Lol I do the same. Rebuilding my pc other night while watching keyboard builds my nathan. Damn super clean build. Love it other than sound. That mode sounds so much better.
I ACTUALLY LOVE YOU
I've been meaning to pick this up for so fricking long and you've gone and done it. I love you.

Or what you need is a "cheap keyboard" to have a good typing experience and keebs that over $200 just sell for the limitness value? :/
@@slowtyper95 not just that tho. luxurious keebs mostly are over engineered and not so usual features and materials
this is such clean
I usually don’t like how these ergo builds look, but with the decals and matte finish this turned out so nicely

yeah, it really is the *full* custom experience
As always, gorgeous gorgeous mods! I swear, even though you didn't do your normal procedure regarding the painting, it still came out great! :)

Thanks for playing my favorite lo fi track during this build!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make an updated painting tutorial with that wet printing technique I've never seen
The "wet printing" is a water slide decal paper transfer (printed using inkjet). Can find those paper on Amazon pretty cheaply.

It's beautiful. The color combo is so calming 😍

looks like the mint color
I see my logo cameo I immediately press like, green turned out well matte spray paints looks really good

Finally, a keyboard video to watch!
One of the most beautiful keyboards I ever saw!
This thing is so loud those Bobas sound clicky almost lol. Wonder how fucking thunderous I would be with real clickies in it.
Not as loud tbh. These switches clack hard on this board

waterslide decals, then printed what I showed on Illustrator :)

is there anyways that will make the acoustics better like putting sound dampening foam inside? @TaeKaeyboards

What kind of grit do you use for wet-sanding?
Uh depends. But I think I went up to just 3k for the finishing pass. But in the early stages, probs like as low as 300ish

Considering how loud this board was and potentially harsh, maybe using the Boba U4 (silenced tactiles) would have been a better bet?
He said he knew it was going to happen and wanted to embrace the loudness with the switch choice
That is surprisingly tocky. Wasn't expecting it to sound so thocc if that makes sense.

Justoon (justin) helped out as mentioned.
what is the technique used to stick the stickers??
How good is the blue screen? 👀
Tae is the best. Also, this board is the best way to get into an Alice style board.
how many arisu boards are there?
