    We need to set up some way for us to contribute so Rosemary can get fresh flowers weekly or monthly. Really for any seasoned adults (not old) who we get out. They went a lifetime without flowers, they deserve fresh ones now. 🌷🌸

    I am not or never have been a Scientologist. I am a member of Amnesty International and am passionate about injustice and cruelty to human beings. I live in Dorset, England and the nearest Scientology indoctrination centre is Poole, don’t know if I can do anything to help anyone come out of Scientology but anything I can do I am available.

    So glad Rosemary has a wonderful son who could help her! Hearing how excited she was to leave & meet her grandkids- to the point of physically not being able to physically contain it- was actually lovely to hear! I also personally loved how excited and kind of mind blown she was about the meal she had on the plane as she left. She deserves all of the good things that have come her way these last few years & I hope she gets nothing but peace the rest of her days! She seems like such a sweet lady🥺❤

    Is the hospital system in the US not a mandatory reporting system?

    • @WatfordRN
      @WatfordRN ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As an ED RN, it can be difficult to differentiate between failure to thrive due to age vs neglect (due to an evil cult) depending on how the patient presents. It's not uncommon for the elderly to lose their appetite, lose weight, fall down, bruise, etc, not necessarily due to neglect. So yes, ED personnel are mandatory reporters but if the patient appears to be of sound mind and denies neglect or abuse, sometimes our hands are tied. It's not as black and white as it sounds.

    Has anyone called APS? Adult Protective Services in each of these counties where the elderly are living. It would be great if there was some evidence and documentation to provide to APS as to what is being claimed before they go out to visit so they don’t get gaslit, have nothing specific to investigate, otherwise they will probably be told it’s ok the elderly person volunteered or chose to turn over their money. Fiduciary abuse of the elderly is a serious crime. Can Mike take his info to the county DA and see if they will charge them for elder abuse to include Fiduciary abuse? Sorry if I missed out on whether or not APS was reported to.

    This is an awesome inspiring story. In Rosemary's case, she kept a detailed ledger that was pivotal in determining how she was financially abused. All the hoops that Mike went through in order to get his mom out were phenomenal. How many families would be able to accomplish the same, when sadly, many of the remaining seniors are not mentally or physically able to assist in their escape ?

    While difficult to listen to, it is important that folks know the truths that go on behind the curtain of this cult.
    Our elderly community is so extremely vulnerable - I could not imagine my parents not having the care & love & support they needed at their end.
    SCN is sick - absolutely vile and 'stone cold'. Kudos to Mike B. for his actions to save his mum. 🫂
    I know that is not possible for so many - and that is breaking my heart.
    I couldn't watch it all - skipped to the end because I needed a smile. I hope we see more folks getting out - I have to believe we will! Thanks to you and The Aftermath Foundation.

    Board & Care facilities are regulated and inspected by the state of California. Some are run better than others but all have state and federal laws to comply with. The county’s Office or Council on Aging might be helpful in identifying potential abuses and help navigate reporting to APS… I think if you could get them on elder abuse, financial abuse, social security & other fraud some like social security fraud is a federal offense… maybe an investigation will get opened concerning these abuses. We don’t like people taking advantage of the elderly.

    In these times-we all know what our country has been going through-it is so gratifying to see sane, devoted people doggedly persisting in working for justice. It’s not about religion, your religion, my religion, anyone’s religion. It’s about justice. We are evolving a world in which religion does not get to be an excuse for injustice. We condemn Henry VIII, the Inquisition, the jehads, etc. etc. yet here we are in the present time with the same absolutist, justice crushing mentality. Power mongering is not religion. So glad, Mike B. your mother’s safe. Thank you all for sharing with us your journey to justice. Blessings.

    Not only were they stealing Rosemary’s money, but they also robbed her of the opportunity to earn interest on her own funds. I’m sure her attorneys are very astute and mindful of this; and, if they decide to proceed with their case, I hope they take the COS to the bank!

Also the original $25k they took from her savings for "courses" that should have been free anyways before they started charging credit cards?
      Strikes me tgey owe her a damn site more than what she got.
