My first pet gecko was a pair of mourning geckos, i could not say enough how bad of an idea this is, i love the two (and their children) but having to go to bed every night knowing the chance that they could escape and take over my house was kindve scary...

You know, I'm Seventeen and live in Germany. I had Lots of Problems with my mental health lately, and thought about getting a pet. To take care of something, and see it getting older. And I watched so many videos about reptiles, and the care for them, cause this will be my first reptile. And i feel like a crested gecko is the perfect one for me. Because it just fits me. I love their appearence and their character traits, but I'm very grateful for videos like this, because they REALLY make me think about my decision, and always Show me again, that i will get no other, but a crestie. I really love this Channel and your videos, because you got me into all this. And just preparing myself for getting a a crestie, and prepare an enclosure, makes me feel so happy. So thank you for all these Informations, i really love your Kind words towards These animals. I really appriciate that🩶

Kenyan zebra skinks! How they aren’t wildly popular is beyond me. Clint likens them to a cross between BTS and ETS. They are incredibly intelligent, diurnal, active, cohabitable, eat a varied diet and don’t have difficult husbandry requirements. I’ve had mine for a week and they already recognize me and run for the enclosure door to be taken out! The best!

My male ETS is forever convinced that fingers dispense Pangea if you bite hard enough. It's hilarious to watch him try at least. I remember looking at horned dragon listings several years back and wondering why they weren't more popular. I figured they must not tolerate handling or something. I'm glad to see I was wrong, might be something to look into someday.

I had a mountain horned dragon years ago. Coolest lizard ever. I'm not entirely sure which type I had. It was about 16 inches full grown, brown and tanish in color, had the spiked eyes, and a ridge on the back of it's neck. I'd come home from college and open it's cage and it would climb my arm and hang out on top of my head. Pretty sure it was a male but not positive.

My bf bought me a baby crestie last yr in August during our first reptile show. They were all in bags with a price, different morphs of equal or eveb greater value than the monetary amount written. He was kinda an impusle buy (I dont care for the fact they jump/I hate bugs), but I knew their care & had a suitable tub enclosure (bioactive w/light) at home ready to go.
I wasn't fond of him at first due to him jumping. We do have a 1 yr old now, too, so it made me a little anxious handling him. But now that ive done it & seen him calm down, I am starting to love him :) I can't wait to get him an adult enclosure asap, he'll be a lovely display animal when you enter my room.

I don't know how it is these days, but in Feb and March of 2023, I was down to either a ETS or a KBL. I went with the Keel because I just couldn't find juvenile CBB for ETS.
I have liked my Keel, but its a little more skittish than an ETS and a little more "skeptical". So it will climb on to me, sometimes, but it will also get flighty in a second and shoot off me to somewhere else. No warning. And if it thinks you're try to pick him up, he'll switch into RoadRunner mode and he's gone. Totally not aggressive at all and fun antics in his enclosure.
Maybe I'll revisit an ETS at some point in the future.

I would just try to meet some at cons because seeing an animal in person will give you a fully new perspective on them, or watch some more videos about each one and think about how much time and money you have to put into each one, but I'm also a firm believer that when you know you know, is there one of the three that you tend to prefer reading about over the others? She still has her tail too, despite having a lid dropped on it a couple years ago. I can even split fruit with her. Dropped a little piece of ripe banana in her log, turned around and when I looked again it was gone. I think she ate it. Rankin's dragon (pygmy bearded dragon) is a great alternative . Or if you want a bearded dragon but the central bearded dragon is to big for you.
Essentially small bearded dragons with pretty much the same character. But more social so cohab very well (they live in small groups in the wild).
Being small beardies means they are day active, unlike a cresty.

Yo i got a question. I want to get a leopard gecko, but it would be kept in the same room that 2 Pomeranian dogs hang out in (my room) and i was wondering if since dogs are always in there, would it be to scared to ever come out? Because i want to be able to take it out and stuff

Name option Tigger the tire morph. Piglet bc of the pink colors on other gecko. Lemon and lime are other name options.

Someone PLEASE help me. Can someone tell my why my ball python hasn’t been active the past two days? He is normally active during day and night but mostly night but recently he been in his hideaway without coming out at all during the day/night. When I take him out he is active but when I put him back in his tank he just goes back in his hideaway. But he never done this, he likes to come out. Someone please help me understand.

I had a question about lizards or any geckos that have like appetites that don’t eat worms and stuff because my parents don’t really really like that stuff they just like the vegetables they consider ones with vegetables and like different types of greens and fruit, but not so much like meal worms, and things like that

Awesome list of great crestie alternatives. All 3 are awesome choices for most people.

Bred tons of cresteds 20 years ago, havnt had one in about 4 years and just grabbed one for a pet that looks like my old boy that passed.
So what morphs do you think from your activity in the industry still do you think would be worth investing in right now if you just wanted a trio and to make a little side cash?
